‘I can see the stars’, ‘I can feel the sun whenever you’re
near’, ‘Everytime you touch me I just melt away’, Finally you
put me first’, You’re the one I love’, ‘Boy your lips taste like a
night of champagne’
These are a few sentences in the song that show that this is a love
song, shows warmth and happiness. Shows sexual feelings about lips
and champagne as people link those things with romance.

4. Music
Throughout the video the tempo gets faster on every chorus.
This would keep the audience engaged and keeps the music
interesting. By doing this it builds the tension through the
words of the song and each time the chorus gets stronger and
bigger.

5. Genre/Mise en scene
Each time she changed costume they get more revealing and stands out
from the previous costume with how she has done herself up with her
accessories. Her last 3 costumes are very similar but change very slightly
weather it being the colour or showing a bit more flesh. In the last
costume she shows the most and has a hat to show this is the last
costume and has to be bigger and better then the others.

6. Camera Work
There are 2 main shots that are used through out the music
video. One would be a close up shot of Beyoncé seeing as she
is the main singer and performer in the video. This would
make the audiences attention be mainly on her and get the
fans attention. The second shot is a wide shot a showing the
setting she is in and the dancers behind her. This way we can
see her surroundings and see all the action that is going on.

7. Editing
To start and finish the video they use a fade in and a fade out.
However during it they use fast cuts and keep the editing
techniques to a minimum. This creates a fast pace and the rapid
editing they use goes in time with the tempo of the music. This
makes the video look in time during their dance moves as it goes
smoothly to the next shot. Even when you can see the dancers in
the background the lights have been used to fade them out a bit
so they are not as clear as her so she still has more focus.

8. Voyeurism
Beyonce changes her costume four times in this video. Even
though it is not too revealing every time she does change she
shows a bit more flesh which would attract the attention of
straight males. During this video she was pregnant and that is
why she wasn’t that revealing for example in crazy in love it
was much for revealing.
