2. Los superlativos Superlatives are a way of pointing out or emphasizing something as the "most," "best," "worst," etc. In English, we usually do this by adding "est" to the adjective. In Spanish, we put the definite article (el,la,los,las) in front of the comparison, then add "más" or "menos," and the adjective.
4. Ejemplos Mi mamáesmáspacienteque mi papá, pero mi hermanaesla persona máspaciente de la casa. My mom is more patient than my dad, but my sister is the most patient person in the house. Mi prima tienelasniñasmásbonitas del mundo. My cousin has the prettiest little girls in the world.
5. Los irregulares The irregulars here are the same as in the comparisons: mejor = better peor = worse mayor = older menor = younger Nota: When you add the definite article in front of them, they become a superlative. Ex. el mejor = the best
7. Ejemplos Mi hermanoesel mejorestudiantedesuclase. My brother is the best student in his class. Mi hermanitaesla menor de la familia. My little sister is the youngest in the family.
