About Clash Magazine Clash magazine is described to be a Fashion and Music magazine. It is edited by Simon Harper. It’s magazine title is published 12 times a year and it has a circulation of around 40,000. To advertise their brand,they link with festivals (such as RockNess and Get Loaded) and concerts around the country. It’s sold in Asda, Morrisons, Tesco, Sainsburys, and other highstreet stores.
Their audience. Clash Magazine is targeted at 18-35 year olds, the “download generation”. They target this audience by alternating between modern bands such as Coldplay, the Prodigy and Oasisto artistssuch as Jay-Z, Kanye West and the Beastie Boys. It also attracts audiences that have an interest in fashion and film.

Clash have an online version of the full magazine which you also have to purchase. However, it is a lot cheaper than buying it in stores. Also, online you have the choice to view what is featured in the upcoming issue and also the chance to view a previous issue. The usual price in shops is ÂŁ3.80 per issue. A lot cheaper than buying the hard copy
Technology In September 2008, the magazine received a grant from the Scottish government for £230,000 to develop its online presence. You can also subscribe to weekly news letters, this helps promote the magazine. To create their magazine, they use a Publishing software such as QuarkXPress 8, InCopy CS5, InDesign CS5 and Illustrator CS5. On their website they have video’s, the ability to stream music and they sell tickets to various live events.
