Mobile Manufacture
Finalized Scope
The goal of manufacturing mobile phones is that they Mobile have several functions, including keeping in touch with loved ones, conducting business, and having a phone nearby in case of an emergency. Retailers only have a small selection of carefully chosen items to sell to customers, in contrast to brand manufacturers who keep inventories of every item they produce. Since they can choose from a wider variety of collections and learn more about the various companies and their updated products, people will want to purchase directly from the manufacturer.

Steel, oil, corn, grain, gasoline, lumber, forestry resources,
plastic, natural gas, coal, and minerals are a few examples of
raw materials. Can the current global supply meet the high
demand for lithium used in electronic devices like mobile
phones? Lithium is a soft, silvery-white chemical element. The
main lithium-containing product is the battery for mobile
phones. Hard rock and salt lakes are used to extract it.

Part 1: Project Charter
Title of the project:
Mobile Manufacturing UnitPurpose
The purpose of the project is to maximize the production of
mobile phones and increase the rate of employment among the
working population. The Manufacturing unit will be placed in
India. The purpose is to increase and enhance the rapid need for
mobile and technological gadgets in the country. Also, there
will be a motive to provide employment to Indian youth and
resolve their existing unemployment issues. Project Description
and objectives
10. The project will involve the setting up of a manufacturing
area which will have almost six divisions or groups. It will
cover approximately 18,00 area m2. The permissible area will
be around 15,00 area m2 where the running and functioning of
the plant will be done. There will be 6 different divisions which
will be working areas that are software unit, Hardware unit,
Product design unit, Manufacturing centre, Sales and marketing
unit and technical support unit. The manufacturing area will be
the largest among them where the assembling and packaging of
the hardware and software components will take place. There
will be clearance taken from the local authority and government
officials so that the mobile manufacturing unit is compatible
and satisfies all the standards of workplace safety. There is an
estimation to manufacture of 900 mobile phones in a day. The
objective of the project is to ensure the mobile manufacturing
unit is capable to deliver the growing demand for mobile in
India. Also, there will be around more than 100 workers and
technicians working in the unit who will be provided with
employment. Success criteria or expected benefits
The success criteria for the following project will be based
on its success metrics. The success criteria could be as follows:
· The mobile manufacturing unit can manufacture 1200 mobile
phones in a day.
· The manufacturing unit can employ at least 100 unemployed
candidates.
· The manufacturing Unit is running for a minimum of 18 days a
month.
· There are no fatal cases or injuries in the working area.
· The shipment of the produced mobile phones is adequately
done without damage to the new mobile phones.
· The manufacturing area is the non-toxic zone where managers
and workers have good working conditions.
· The production is not at a halt due to the unavailability of the
resources or uneven distribution of resources. Funding
The funding for the mobile manufacturing unit is given to
the respective company where the funding could be implied
11. with the financial institutions and banks. There will be a one-
third share of the Indian government to uplift employment and
enhance mobile productivity in the country. The estimated cost
and required funding for respective items for the manufacturing
unit are given below:

The major deliverables from the project are as follows:
· Manufacturing of six different stations/units (software unit,
Hardware unit, Product design unit, Manufacturing centre, Sales
and marketing unit and technical support unit).
· There are new job opportunities and employment created.
· There are around 900 mobile phone units manufactured and
delivered to the respective warehouse.
· The manufacturing unit copes with the increasing need and
demand for mobile phones.
· To make India self-resilient to manufacture mobile and
decrease the dependency on other countries.Acceptance criteria
The acceptance criteria for the project will be defined and
based on the effectiveness of the project deliverables. The
project will be accepted when the following deliverables are
efficiently performed:
· There are minim defects in the designing and planning phase
of the manufacturing unit.
· The project manager is adequately able to coordinate and
collaborate with the team.
· The working stations are equipped with resources and power
backup supplies.
· There are no fatalities while working at heights.
· The project satisfies all the compliances and policies of
mobile manufacturing.
· There has been evaluation and testing of the manufacturing
unit and verified by the respective authorities.
· There is no leakage of water to avoid any damage.
· The electrification and wiring have been with standard
policies.
· The manufacturing unit consists of all the required assets such
as assembly lines and others to make the work progress smooth
and efficient. Milestone schedule

· The manufacturing process will comply with environmental
concerns.
· There might be injuries therefore, safety and protective gears
are available for the workers.
· There is an effective communication plan to avoid conflicts
15. among workers.
· There will be rotational shifts so that there is enough
relaxation for workers.
· The resources are adequate and of good quality. Constraints
· The project is completed in 376 days and within the budget of
854500 dollars.
· The project will be performed only on the allocated land plot
which is 18,00 area m2.
· The project will propose not more than 4 outsourcing.
· The quality assessment will be done with the Indian norms and
standards. Major risks
The major risk in the project will comprise of following
items:
· Approval requirements
· Project manager
· Reporting requirements
