2. In our film we are going to use a wallet to make the man seem more relatable and like an
actual person. This shows he has a good job and that he’s a hard worker and that he
enjoys his job, he has therefore been targeted due to the fact he works for the police
and is good at his job which is the reason they killed him while he wasn’t on duty.
We will use a family photo floating down the river to show the man’s innocence and
shows he's a friendly loving family man. By the photo floating down the river it shows
someone has taken it out of his wallet and thrown it; suggesting the murderer may go
after his family after killing him, this gives the audience a sense of what they think may
happen throughout the film.
3. Using coins from his wallet was the initial idea, however we understand that coins
won’t float down the river and will therefore sink. We aren’t going to use this prop
anymore due to our idea of all the props floating showing they have been thrown and
presenting a suspicious feel to the scene, making the audience wonder why all his
belongings no longer belong to him.
The five pound note is going to be used to empathise the character is realistic and has
A normal, yet high paid job. The five pound note will flow down the river as it has
been taken out of the mans wallet much like the family photo was. This was our initial
idea as it shows the man is real and makes him relatable to the audience.
4. We are using a key which will be shown at the bottom of the river bed which will be
slowly sinking. We decided to use this as it makes the policeman seem like an actual
person and makes him more realistic and able for the audience to relate to as it is an
everyday item.
We are using crime tape at the end of the opening sequence, this shows it is moving
into the next scene and to empathise what has happening. This will leave the
audience wanting to know what happens next and if they ever find the murderer.
