Facts: 1. The year of 1857 witnessed a serious 
reward against British authority. 
2. The revolt begins by the Indian soldiers under 
the east India Company suddenly it spread into 
more regions.
3. The peasants, craftsmen’s soldiers and local 
rulers joined this resistance. 
4. The up level of 1857 is known as the first war 
of independence; it was the beginning series of 
struggle for freedom. 
5. Military, religious, political, social and culture 
affecting the revolt. 
Concept: The Revolt 1857 was the outcome of the popular 
discounted generated by the impact of foreign rule trust upon the 
country. 
Prerequisite: The students have some idea about the Revolt of 
1857.

2. Among these which revolt is known as the first
