1. Tiger Pride!
• VEVSD has been rated by the Ohio Department of Education
as “Excellent” for 8 straight years, the last 3 being “Excellent
with Distinction,” (the only years that this category was
awarded).
• The VEVSD expenditure per pupil was recently cited as
$9,281, while the state average was listed as $10,144.
• The VEVSD was recognized as one of the top 10% academic
performing schools in the state by Gerber Analytics, LLC.
• Versailles continually earns high achievements in the areas
of academics, athletics, music, the arts and FFA. Versailles
has been recognized at the local, state, and national levels.
2. Current cuts in effect…
Non-replacement during the current 2011-2012 school year
of 1 bus driver, 2 aides, & 4 teachers as well as elimination of
staff professional development, mileage reimbursement and
bussed field trips
For 2012-13: elimination of 7 teaching positions, reductions
of 4 programs to ½ time, reduction/elimination of extended
days as well as academic and athletic supplemental contracts
All employees taking a 1% decrease in salary for the 2011-12
and an additional 1% decrease in 2012-13
Substantial increase (12%) in health insurance premiums paid
by staff.

with a 1% income tax operating levy.
*Operating levy is unrelated to the building of the new facility
which has saved approximately $51,000 with its efficiency
