The City Of The Middle East
For my trip, I am going to be heading over to the Middle East. This city is one of the most
interesting places in the world; It is the fastest growing city in the world and is a dazzling,
cosmopolitan destination complete with gleaming skyscrapers, amazing weather, thousands of
foreigners and some of the most breathtaking and opulence hotels in the world (Stephanie). The city
is rich with a widely diverse culture, but is ruled under strict Muslim law by Sheikh Mohammed bin
Rashid Al Maktoum. The strict laws placed upon this city also gives it a crime rate virtually at 0%
making it one of the safest cities in the world (Stephanie). The Sheikh take great pride in their police
force and make a conscious effort to show off how classy it is to tourists coming around the world.
The various models of police cars range in the equivalence of one person in the United States going
to college. The models of police cars include Ferraris (valued at $500,000), Lamborghinis (valued at
$400,000) and one Ashton Martin, priced at $1.79 million. This flashy city in the desert is where is
decided to take my trip; the city is located in the country United Arab Emirates and is called the city
of Dubai.
To get my trip started I am going to be taking a Delta flight from Atlanta (ATL) to Paris, France
(CDG). This continuous flight will take about 8h 37min; once I have made it to Paris I will have a
layover in Paris that will last 7h 45min. It's a good thing that I've never been to Paris either.

Study Abroad Scholarship Essay
I am taking advantage of Augusta University's amazing Study Abroad Scholarship and fundraising
opportunities in hopes of aiding in the expense of participating in the Summer 2017 European
Council trip to Paris. I am an ambitious junior Psychology major, whose present and future goals
exceed far beyond her small town of Thomson, GA. It has been a longstanding goal of mine to
travel and grasp the diversity and culture of countries outside of the United States. As a
conscientious student, I have always been interested in ways to advance my education and get the
most out of my college career. A study abroad experience will be a valuable addition to my resume
and impressive topic to discuss with potential employers. will afford me the opportunity to
accomplish goals towards the advancement of my academics, professionalism, and personal growth.
This astonishing European Council trip to Paris will help me achieve my academic goals preceding
and succeeding graduation. The two courses that I plan to take incorporate both of the topics I am
most passionate about, psychology and health. The trip offers a Human Development course that is
required for the Clinical Nurse Leader graduate program I am working to advance toward in the
future. This course will also ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I must admit I am a bit nervous with it being my first time traveling out of the United States, but my
excitement overshadows all of my nerves. I have always dreamed of going to "The City of Lights,"
but have never had the means or the opportunity to travel such a far distance. I consider this trip to
be a personal triumph, and I know I would return a more cultured and strong person. With the funds
offered through this scholarship, paired with my determination, I will make my dream of studying
abroad a reality this summer, and will do whatever it takes to make sure I get this experience of a

The Greater Journey Americans In Paris Summary
The Greater Journey: Americans in Paris, by David McCullough, tells of the first significant
Americans who travel to Paris in the late 1920's through the 1930's. "David McCullough has
stressed France's pre–eminent role in American history for years. We would not, he has argued, have
a country without the French, who have permanently and profoundly shaped us" (Schiff 2011, NY
Times). Chapters one and two, which will be the focus of this paper, introduces numerous characters
and begins the overall movement of the novel. James Fenimore Cooper was the first to leave and
"departed well ahead of the others, in 1826,when he was thirty–seven" (McCullough, 4). At the time
he was the best–known American novelist ever, mainly thanks to his book The ... Show more

A month to six weeks was the likely amount of time out at sea. There was also the possibility of a
ship going under, missing, or thrown against icebergs and rocks. Morse's crossing took twenty–six
days, including "five days and nights of gale winds, during which the motion of the ship was such
that no one slept" (McCullough, 15). Some had the crossing better than others, Wendell Holmes
crossed on a ship with thirty other passengers in cabin class. Wendell's trip consisted of calm seas
almost the entire way, while Emma Willard had a very rough passage with heavy weather.
When they arrived it was very confusing for the Americans. All of their luggage was taken to be
gone through and their passports reviewed, but they were all ecstatic. The trip to Paris took about
twenty–four hours with stops on the way. One of the best stops on the trip was at Rouen to see the
great cathedral in the middle of the town. It was centuries older than anything they had seen and
marked the way to Paris. Most decided to stay the night at Rouen and travel the last remaining
eighty miles to Paris the next day

The Journey Of An Odyssey Trip Of My Own
During an Odyssey trip of my own, I will be travelling to three different countries doing different
things while I am there to visit. My first destination is London, United Kingdom while there I will
be visiting the London Eye, Tower Bridge, and Trafalgar Square. My second place of interest for
travel is Paris, France. While there to contain the boredom I will be a part of the tourist attractions
such as the Eiffel Tower, Canal Saint–Martin, and the Place des Vosges. Third in my plane route is
Barcelona, Spain. There to experience the beauty of their country, I will be looking at the Magic
Fountain of Montjuic; Placa de Catalunya and the Sagrat Cor. London is the first destination on my
list. While there I will be staying at the Kensington Close hotel a three and a half star rating out of
five rating. With the flight included in the price the flight to London and a hotel for 2 days is a total
of $2,197 leaving $7,803 left to spend on the rest of the trip. After checking into the hotel sooner or
later I will be visiting the London Eye by bus for $1.50 one way (total of $9.00 for all transportation
by bus). The London Eye is a large Ferris wheel on the South Bank of the River Thames in London,
With its outstanding view many people often take it to see what London looks like from the sky, also
known as the "highest viewing point in London" states Wikipedia "The structure is 135 metres (443

Somethings in life, we find very sad. Although most of us wouldn't be alive without them. This
exact feeling affected me in June of 2017, we were away from home experiencing a whole other
feeling a whole other feeling, a whole other world. This all began when we were away in Paris,
France. It was like a dream, except a reality. But my dad thought otherwise, he wanted to do
something not so girly. My mom and I thought he was acting crazy, but afterall it was a family
vacation, so, my mom and dad scheduled a tour out in the countryside of Paris, because most world
war II battles took place in Europe. It was six o'clock in the morning, my little brother Nolan and I

"C'mon kids!" My mom exclaimed,
I took two very hesitant steps, I did not want to go on a tour seeing WWII stuff, I just wanted to
walk the streets of Paris and get lost. But, I kept on a straight face because I knew this was very
important to my dad. As I was walking toward the back of the bus, there were many old times and
tourists from all over the world! One said he was from sydney australia. I sat down, and looked
around me. "This is going to be a long trip," I said. I than doze off to dreamland, hoping that this trip
would be over soon. After what seemed like forever, we finally arrived.
"Everyone, are at Normandie beach!"
I walked off the bus yawning, feeling the bullets of wind hit my face.
"Urgg." I said to myself.
The other people were doing there own thing, while my family and I went inside the Normandie
museum, it had soldier suits and old marine weapons, than at the end of the museum there was a gift
shop. It held many items. I purchased a bottle that said normandie sand, with 1 euro. I held the glass
object and walked to the beach, I excavated a piece of moist sand and placed the cork screw inside it
finishing my artifact from utah beach. "Time to go!" The tour guide yelled, I glanced at my relic of
sand and walked to the bus with my family. "Lili," my dad said
"Ya," I said already comfortable in my seat ready to depart,

Mr Capulet Relationship Between Romeo And Juliet
Could you marry a man without you father finding out? Like every father, Mr. Capulet tries his best
to be a good dad and have a positive relationship with his daughter. However, the the daily struggles
and busy life make it difficult to know everything that happens in his daughter's life.
Mr. Capulet does not know what is happening in his daughter's life. He does not know that she is
already married. He does not know that she is crying for Romeo not Tybalt. He does not know that
everything he does negatively affects Juliet's life. For example, he chose Paris as Juliet's husband.
He did not do it for Juliet, he did if for him. Having Paris marry his daughter only would benefit
himself and the Capulet name. It would make Mr. Capulet look good, he is the one that selected the
greatest man. Also, when Juliet refuses to marry Paris, Mr. Capulet has a huge meltdown. He says he
will disown her and she must marry Paris or never come back. He stated that he did not care if she
committed suicide. A real father would never say that. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

How My Son Changed My Life-A Personal Narrative
How My Son Changed My Life– A Personal Narrative
Albert Einstein once said, "most people see what is, and never see what can be." I find a very certain
truth to this statement, and I found this truth because of my son. My son has helped me to
understand my past, find peace with my present life, and look forward to what lies ahead in our
future. Because of my son I look at the world differently, am confident in my purpose for this life,
and I am able to see possibility more clearly. If I were to describe my pre–mommy days I would
have to say that, in all, I was not living but merely surviving. I had no real idea who I was or wanted
to be. I had a "cookie–cutter" planned life. Even though I married at age 19 we did not plan on

A Little Over A Year Ago
A little over a year ago, I was lucky enough to take a trip to Europe. The first destination, Paris.
Arriving at Paris may have been the most exhilarating experience I have ever felt. All my life, I
wanted to visit Europe and feel its history around me, and there I was standing there ready to take it
all in. Besides, I may have watched Midnight in Paris, with Owen Wilson, Rachel McAdams and
Tom Hiddleston (my love for the Hiddles is real), for like the tenth time before the flight. However,
it never really dawned on me that I was actually there. I was in that floaty, dream–like state. Maybe
it was the adrenaline or the lack of sleep, but I just couldn't fathom it. All I knew was, one, I was
tired as hell and needed some shut eye, two, I looked like death, and three, I was ready to start
exploring.
The first thing on the itinerary was to drop off all our stuff the hotel so we could make our way to
the heart of Paris. Our first hotel was in a cute little town called, Cergy Pontoise, on the residential
outskirts of Paris. We were running a bit late our first day, so we caught the rapid rail into the city
centre where our Parisian experience began: the Louvre!
The Louvre is a fortress–turned–castle–turned–the world 's largest art museum. Personally, (and
please don't hate me for saying this) I'm not about that art life. I mean its interesting and all, but I
just don't really care about it, unless it has a scandalous story behind it, then I 'll stop and stare. But
for me, it

director known for being cheesy and creative. His movies can be absolutely moving or heart–
breaking. Anyways, they always have a charming touch. Indeed, Midnight in Paris it's a romance–
fantasy movie released in 2011. It is set in Paris and follows an engaged couple, Gil and Inez. Gil is
a writer who spends his time day–dreaming about the stylish Paris under the rain in the 40s while
Inez thinks its overrated. Likewise, she is keen on materialistic stuff. During the trip, the couple face
many dramatic issues, beginning with the fact that Gil found a way to travel to the past in his
favorite decade but he must leave cautiously so no one would suspect.

How Travel Is Good For The Soul
I have always believed that travel is good for the soul. It can make your mind and body stronger
through new experiences and adventures. Since my father lives in Germany and my mom lives here
in Wilmington, I have been able to visit Europe frequently to visit my family living in Germany. My
father's side of the family meets for Christmas every year in the Lanzarote, which is one of the
Canary Islands. I have been fortunate enough to meet interesting people and see amazing sights;
hear different stories and live in what seem to be other worlds. Over the past few years I have
traveled to Germany and Spain quite frequently, and spent some time in Switzerland and France.

The term "Blood is thicker than water" really makes sense here. It is a common misconception and
misunderstanding that blood means family and water is friendship, but it is actually reversed. The
blood of the covenant (bonds with other people) is thicker than the water of the womb (family
members). Yes, it took a village. Since I am only sixteen, there is still tons of growing up to do and
plenty of room for error and mistakes. At least we have a good support system! So in recent years
since I am older, I have made an effort to spend lots of time with my dad and that side of family
since we have been separated by the Atlantic Ocean. At the end of May this summer, I flew to
Germany to see my dad. We spent time together and after a week, went to Mallorca. In Mallorca you
see lots of different people and cultures come together on an extremely old island that has an
amazing history, since the Vikings and the Moors have lived there among many other groups. You
can see their influence on architecture when you see many old buildings and churches, which is
exactly what we did biking through Palma and Cala Ratjada. Walking through shopping areas and
on Bodega La Rambla in Palma, you frequently walk past Gypsy beggars. They are usually
stationed after every block or so. I have had a few interesting encounters with Gypsies, beginning in
2010 on a trip to Lanzarote. A New Years Eve party had been organized, and a group of gypsy

The World Of Wanderlust : An Original 1935 Monopoly Board...
Afzoon Hakeem Professor David Beck English W313 8 September 2015 The World of Wanderlust
An original 1935 Monopoly board game. A beautiful painted iron trunk. An old painting in a
stunning frame. Light, airy gauze tapestries. Everything from fine china to sturdy Pyrex. The place
is humming with life. Everything within the store has a sense of warmth, history, and character. My
sister and I decide to visit an antique store that a family friend mentioned to us last week. I like
shopping at antique stores, because unlike department stores you never know what you'll come
across. Every so often when I visit antique stores, I don't go in for anything in particular but rather
rummage through dusty shelves of broken, old things when I miraculously stumble upon a hidden
treasure. I was a little disappointed when nothing really caught my eye, until I spotted a small muted
tone globe sitting upon a brown round metal base, tucked away behind an old rustic cabinet in the
corner of the store. It was a vintage Replogle (world's largest manufacturer of globes) ten–inch
precision globe. There is some wear on the globe and the base has some minor scratches. Overall it's
in good condition. I decided for twenty bucks it was a steal. Besides, I have always wanted a globe
for my desk. I walked out of the antique shop with my most recent purchase under my arm and a
very self–satisfied smirk on my face. Over lunch with my sister I couldn't help but admire my new

The Mummy ( 1932 ) : Directed By Karl Freund
Have you ever experienced the ravenous desire to travel after watching a movie? I have. Many
times. A really well made film draws me into the story, creating the sensation that I 'm not just
observing but participating in the action. If the cast and crew have done their job, everything
becomes real – the characters, plot and especially the setting. A thrilling location becomes a virtual
character. An intriguing country, ancient city or far away island calls to me like a siren from a
beckoning sea. I 'd like to share with you the top 5 movies that make me want to travel. Whenever I
watch these films I itch to pack my bags, grab my passport and take that first step on a journey that
promises to dazzle the eye and enlighten the soul. I hope these movies do the same for you. THE

Written by John L. Balderston. Starring Boris Karloff as Imhotep/Ardath Bey; Zita Johann as Helen
Grosvenor/Princess Ankhesenamon. As a child, this movie about a man returned to life after
thousands of years got me hooked on the study of Ancient Egypt. Although filmed entirely in the
USA, the set designs evoked in me the lure of the ruins of Cairo, Luxor and the arcane Valley of the
Kings. Filmed only 10 years after the discovery of King Tut 's tomb, the movie expresses the world
's wonder and excitement at the unveiling of all those artifacts and gold. And malefic curses.

Paris Opera Ballet
Dance has been around since the earliest of human times. However, the formalization of dance came
long after humans were dancing. As cultures became more developed, people could focus on other
things such as rituals, dances, costumes, and entertainment (Hooper). This led to entertainment not
only for the royalty and leaders of a society, but also entertainment for the commoner. Kassing notes
that as the Renaissance arrived, performances in court became much more common as a form of
entertainment to please the ruling class. Catherine de' Medici is known for bringing ballet to France,
where it became quite popular, according to Kassing's report. The Paris Opera (originally the

When the Paris Opera Ballet was formed, it was meant to entertain royalty, requiring manners,
etiquette, and protocol directed toward the royals, according to Professor Suggs. Manners, etiquette,
and protocol dictate how one is to behave and act. This led to performances at the Paris Opera Ballet
to be very formal affairs as evidenced today. Many dances end with bows that would have shown
respect to the royalty present according to Anderson. However, today it is shown to thank the entire
audience. Also, there was a decorum practiced by the audience, which can still be seen today.
According to the San Francisco Ballet Company website, they suggest propriety such as avoiding
tardiness, making sure electronic devices are off, no candy wrappers, no talking, and no snuggling
with your significant other. These are enforced out of respect for the performer and guests around.
Dress codes are another legacy left by the Paris Opera Ballet. Since the performances were first
staged for King Louis XIV, Anderson suggests that they were a formal affair. This can be seen
today: while most theaters do not have formal dress codes, they provide suggestions on dress. Trip
Advisor advises that guests should be clean, use small amounts of perfume or collogue, and "to
dress the part." Trip Advisor says that this is because there is a large amount of money put in such as

Since the security in America is very strict we weren't sure if we even could get in to the country

Along the way, the couple marries in secrecy and in the end, a total of six characters die, including
themselves. Nowadays, people can see the many different versions and depictions of William

The Trojan War was the most unique war because of its intense conflicts. Though historians don't

Descriptive Essay About The Wedding
So you want to know what the title means stay here and you can see. My grandparents decided to
surprised me with a trip going to Scotland, London, then Paris. When this happened I was overjoyed
because I was going to be able to see my cousins and one was getting married when we were there.
This trip was a two week trip from Aug. 31 to July 12. Before we left, my mom gave me a visa gift
card so I would able to buy stuff. I went to go use it and I noticed that I could only use it in the
USA. When we got there, we got settled in at our family's place. The first night we had fish and
chips on the shore of the North Sea. The first day we arrived there it was a lazy and went to go look

My second cousin was getting married when we were there so we were there for her. They had their

walking to the after party where we had a fun time. On the wedding day, my third cousin, named
Hannah, did my hair for the wedding. During the wedding all of the males in the wedding wore

castle I liked the best was the one in Inchcolm. When we were there my papa could not wait for

My Dream Trip To Europe
Upon receiving a plane ticket to Europe, it is with great anticipation and excitement that I will soon
board a plane and start my exciting journey to the place where I have dreamt of going for many
years. For as far back as I can remember, my dream has been to travel Europe and see the cities of
the old world. My dream is to travel Europe and just explore the continent at my leisure. My first
stop will be beautiful and historic London, England to visit Buckingham Palace, and to see London
from the iconic London Eye; additionally I dreamed of going to Paris, France and climb the Eiffel
Tower to gain a perfect vantage point to overlook this beautiful city; I am also anxious to taste the

if I did, they would ultimately make me sad. We were so happy and so much in love as only sixteen

In the 2012 film Frances Ha, the namesake character Frances is still trying to figure her life out at
27. Frances is a dancer living in New York City with friends as she struggles to pay for apartments

be poor I will examine Frances's relationship with money. The scenes I will use in an example are
when she receives her tax rebate and her trip to France. These examples are factors in Frances's life
that show why her coming of age narrative is happening so late in life. Since Frances is a dancer
trying to live in New York City, she can never seem to make enough money to live on her own and

from America feeling thrilled to see Paris,France for my first time ever, along with me came 2 of my
roommates Cheryl and Jackie, we were only 21 years old during the time that this tragic event took
place. Little did I know, Jackie was destined to die by 21 and Cheryl to become handicap and never
to walk again, I was the one who got the lucky break minus my psychological damage I got off
pretty easy , was it fate or was I bound to die by some other age that I would never even expect like
poor Jackie. I remember getting on the plane with Cheryl and Jackie feeling ecstatic and anxious

Similarities Between Laicite And Mission Civilisatrice
Share something you've learned or experienced on this trip.
When we first arrived in Paris, we learned more about laicite and Mission Civilisatrice. Laicite has
multiple contexts for which many people can't seem to agree on. However, some say laicite has
solely to do with secularism within France, while other theories have explained as the ways in which
the French have attempted to create ideal French citizens by way of laicite. This is done when one
puts their French identity above all other identities for which they may affiliate themselves with.
Concepts surrounding laicite seem to suggest guidelines as to how one should act and fall in line.
*Due to the differing notions of laicite, religious identities typically fall back into the foreshadows.
Public displays of religious affiliation are generally frowned upon within French culture, as the
French believe that French culture should come before all else. These notions coincide with the
concept of Mission Civilisatrice, which is the equivalent to concept of Manifest Destiny within
American history. In other words, the term refers to a civilizing mission that is used as a rationale
for intervention or colonization which purports to contribute to the spread of civilization. ... Show

Although, it was interesting to see the similarities between French history and American history.
Both histories seem to initially revolve around ideas of ethnocentricity and xenophobia. Despite the
fact that the United States of America is often considered a melting pot of different cultures, there do
seem to be similar themes throughout history where the idea of the "ideal" American citizen seemed
to prevail and other culture groups had been expected to fall in line with those

A Trip To Texas Research Paper
I've travelled internationally since the age of two. Some say that makes me fortunate, but I think it
means my parents are morons for wanting to lug a baby around Europe and then expecting me to
have vivid memories of the entire trip ten odd years later. I remember eating in a McDonald's that
my parents claimed to be in Paris, however, for all I know it could've been a McDonald's down the
street from my house. Besides a cute story about me running around Versalles; the trip was kind of
pointless – sorry Mom and Dad. On the bright side, it made me learn one thing about myself at a

Wandering The Legion Of Honor Analysis
Wandering the Legion of Honor I entered the 18th– to 20th–Century Neoclassical Art through Post–
Impressionism, Gallery: 16–19 I stumbled upon a piece that caught my attention. It was called Le
Grand Canal, which means "the large or big canal". There was something about the painting, as it
was held by a gold, thick rimmed frame that made visualizing it more aesthetically pleasing. As if
peering through window from the Palazzo Barbaro, where the work's perspective was said to be
created from. The museum itself is a work of art, the entrance has a large fountain, and the
architecture of the building takes you to a different place. It feels as if you're traveling the world all
at once. Where the thinker is located there is a courtyard and it feels as if you're in Rome looking at

Le Grande Canal is an oil painting that was created by the impressionist Claude Monet. Created in
1908, the painting shows many impressionist techniques, such as the brushwork, the angle of
perception, the texture, and the subject matter. The painting is one of a series of paintings completed
by Monet that are tied to the Venice trip. Among these are the Water Lilies, and one example can be
seen in the Legion of Honor in San Francisco, CA along with Monet's work. The use of colors in
this painting depicts the changing qualities in light as the sun is setting or rising, and it looks as if he
uses the entire rainbow to add dimension to the water, and the light reflecting from the poles, and
building in the background. It was said that Monet took more interest in the light reflections and the
waterways of the city than in the actual monuments(specifically Santa Maria della Salute), and he
captured different timings of the day to capture different light in his series from his

"This is it!" My mom's voice interrupts the silence of the taxi's dreary ambience. "Great. So
excited." I speak my words slowly to emphasize sarcasm. My mom gives me her signature "don't–
give–me–that–attitude–or–there–will–be–consequences" look, one that I have received too many
times during our lengthy trip from the Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris. As we slowly pull into a
long brick driveway, I shift uncomfortably on the tattered leather seats of the taxi, absentmindedly
pounding my forehead lightly on the window. The taxi begins to sway as the paved driveway melts
into a multitude of clustered gravel. My fingers throb from the white headphones that I have coiled
tightly around my hand out of boredom. After hours of breathing in the stale, musty air of the
ancient car, I silently vow to never take a taxi in France again. As a tall, looming Victorian–esque
estate appears in my view, I press my cheek on the dirty window to get a better look. The house is
breathtaking. Twisting tendrils of green ivy creep up the sides of the smooth brick walls and dark
gothic windows. A medieval balcony with marble turrets oversees a perfectly manicured lawn, like a
scene from "Romeo and Juliet." A golden plaque that reads Chateaux de Paris hangs next to the
wooden door, a sharp contrast to the maroon backdrop of the brick walls. As the taxi jaunts over the
gravel road, I spot a marble fountain carved with intricate greek figurines. I immediately picture

Claude Monet Influences
French history is filled with an amazing culture that consists of beautiful architecture and delicious
food. One aspect of French culture that stands out is its Art. Among the famous artists that have
contributed over the years, one artists name stands out among the rest, Claude Monet. Claude Monet
is known for being one of the influential artists to introduce impressionism. In a style not previously
before painted, impressionism depicted a landscape or scene by creating illusion through the use of
shading and coloring. Traditional painting was produced in an art studio, but impressionism was a
unique. It allowed the artist to shed the use of a studio and step out into nature. Monet and other
famous artists launched this new style of art that challenged traditional painting and would forever
change French culture and influence art for many years to come.
Claude Monet was born on November 14, 1840, in Paris, France. He moved to LeHavre with his
family at age five (Skira 21). As a child Monet would be found drawing on his work throughout
class. This was the beginning to a brilliant career. These drawings would spawn into a passion for
art.

Jean always said that music was his family, some of the parts he loved and others he deeply

the Amazing Albatrosses. "Perplexing Puffins never made it past the drawing board" said Jean
during an interview with a German documentary crew back in 2005. According to interviews with
past members of the band, Jean used his "nest egg",as he liked to substantial sum of money left by
his paternal grandparents, to fund the bands first few recording sessions and journeys from

Given the trip is to take place next year there are no flights scheduled that far into the future
however using the prices of flights to Houston currently, it would cost approximately $700
(kayak.com). The Plane would land thursday night, February 2nd, 2017, and that night I'd reach my
hotel and unpack. The hotel, actually being a hostel rather than a hotel, would cost $56 dollars a
night, with all 4 nights amounting up to $224 (tripadvisor.com). Friday morning I'd go to rent a
vehicle and according to Kayak.com, a Nissan Versa is available the 3 days it would be needed for
only $109 including tax. With the car I'd drive 4 hours north to Arlington Texas to see the Dallas
Cowboys AT&T Stadium. It's always been a dream of mine to see AT&T Stadium, and with this trip,
it would be close enough to make a drive, albeit a very long drive, up there to see it. Though this
does go against the ideal of living among the locals and getting that kind of advantage from travel,
this is a different kind of advantage, the advantage of accomplishing a lifelong dream. Saturday
however, I'd spend the entire day in Houston, living amongst the people of Houston and doing
activities the people do. Granted Houston is a fairly similar culture to where i am from and living
among them isn't going to change my perspective on life as it did with Neil Shea in Paris and John
Lancaster in Hawaii, but I'd do my best with connecting with the culture of Houston and connect as
deeply with the environment as possible. Things like horseback riding or possibly even local
museums, symphonic orchestra showings, or the Aquarium. All this leads into Sunday where the
entire day is dedicated to Super Bowl 51 which will also be the bulk of the cost of the trip. Tickets
are estimated currently to be around $1500 which considering it's only March of 2016, that number

The Importance Of My Trip To Europe
Everyone has at least one thing, place, or person that is meaningful to them, something that
provokes a strong emotion. For me, there are a few things that are very meaningful to me. There is
one thing that stands out to me as something I don't want to ever forget about. This is the trip to
three countries in Europe this past June. As a graduation gift, I went with my teacher and students on
a trip to Paris, Switzerland, and Italy. This trip not only changed my view on everything but it also
changed who I am. This trip was brought about my teacher. Every year she uses EF Tours, an
education tour provider, to give her students options for different trips all over the world. Some
places include Mexico, Australia, Europe, and more. Typically, students 10th grade and above are
invited to join her for a trip, which is cheaper than it would be to just go without EF tours. Every
year I heard about these trips since I had her as my teacher all four years of high school. Originally,
the thought of going on the trips scared me. My mind would go all over the place thinking of all of
the bad things that could happen. Thinking about it made my heart feel like it was trying to come out
of my chest, like a bird escaping its cage. As the four years went by, I would hear about these trips
and just push the idea of it out of my mind. That was until senior year when this trip came up. The
plan was to travel to the three countries with a possibility of going to England. Whenever I heard

European Vacation My childhood was filled with weekend road trips with my family traveling to

searching for the perfect vacation, my mom decided on a 20 day toured trip to Italy, France,
Switzerland, and The United Kingdom. I was ecstatic, since I had been young I had always wanted

Blame Of Romeo And Juliet Essay
The Blame of the Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet
Who or what do you blame for the tragedy of Romeo and Juliet? I blame the Feud without the
family feud Romeo and Juliet would have never had to hide their love. Without the feud, Tybalt
would have never tried to fight Romeo. The tragedy of Romeo and Juliet was caused by the feud
between the two families Montague and the Capulets, and Tybalt and I also blame Lord Capulet.
I blame Tybalt because if Tybalt never started to try and pick a fight with Romeo. When Tybalt
started the fight, he said "Romeo, the love I bear thee can afford No better term than this: thou art a
villain." (Shakespeare 119). This quote is saying that Tybalt thinks that Romeo is a villain and he
feels no love for him. "Romeo's friend Mercutio fights and is killed by Tybalt, a psychopathic

The City Of The Middle East

  • 1. The City Of The Middle East For my trip, I am going to be heading over to the Middle East. This city is one of the most interesting places in the world; It is the fastest growing city in the world and is a dazzling, cosmopolitan destination complete with gleaming skyscrapers, amazing weather, thousands of foreigners and some of the most breathtaking and opulence hotels in the world (Stephanie). The city is rich with a widely diverse culture, but is ruled under strict Muslim law by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The strict laws placed upon this city also gives it a crime rate virtually at 0% making it one of the safest cities in the world (Stephanie). The Sheikh take great pride in their police force and make a conscious effort to show off how classy it is to tourists coming around the world. The various models of police cars range in the equivalence of one person in the United States going to college. The models of police cars include Ferraris (valued at $500,000), Lamborghinis (valued at $400,000) and one Ashton Martin, priced at $1.79 million. This flashy city in the desert is where is decided to take my trip; the city is located in the country United Arab Emirates and is called the city of Dubai. To get my trip started I am going to be taking a Delta flight from Atlanta (ATL) to Paris, France (CDG). This continuous flight will take about 8h 37min; once I have made it to Paris I will have a layover in Paris that will last 7h 45min. It's a good thing that I've never been to Paris either. ... • 3. Study Abroad Scholarship Essay I am taking advantage of Augusta University's amazing Study Abroad Scholarship and fundraising opportunities in hopes of aiding in the expense of participating in the Summer 2017 European Council trip to Paris. I am an ambitious junior Psychology major, whose present and future goals exceed far beyond her small town of Thomson, GA. It has been a longstanding goal of mine to travel and grasp the diversity and culture of countries outside of the United States. As a conscientious student, I have always been interested in ways to advance my education and get the most out of my college career. A study abroad experience will be a valuable addition to my resume and impressive topic to discuss with potential employers. will afford me the opportunity to accomplish goals towards the advancement of my academics, professionalism, and personal growth. This astonishing European Council trip to Paris will help me achieve my academic goals preceding and succeeding graduation. The two courses that I plan to take incorporate both of the topics I am most passionate about, psychology and health. The trip offers a Human Development course that is required for the Clinical Nurse Leader graduate program I am working to advance toward in the future. This course will also ... I have always dreamed of going to "The City of Lights," but have never had the means or the opportunity to travel such a far distance. I consider this trip to be a personal triumph, and I know I would return a more cultured and strong person. With the funds offered through this scholarship, paired with my determination, I will make my dream of studying abroad a reality this summer, and will do whatever it takes to make sure I get this experience of a ... • 5. The Greater Journey Americans In Paris Summary The Greater Journey: Americans in Paris, by David McCullough, tells of the first significant Americans who travel to Paris in the late 1920's through the 1930's. "David McCullough has stressed France's pre–eminent role in American history for years. We would not, he has argued, have a country without the French, who have permanently and profoundly shaped us" (Schiff 2011, NY Times). Chapters one and two, which will be the focus of this paper, introduces numerous characters and begins the overall movement of the novel. James Fenimore Cooper was the first to leave and "departed well ahead of the others, in 1826,when he was thirty–seven" (McCullough, 4). At the time he was the best–known American novelist ever, mainly thanks to his book The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A month to six weeks was the likely amount of time out at sea. There was also the possibility of a ship going under, missing, or thrown against icebergs and rocks. Morse's crossing took twenty–six days, including "five days and nights of gale winds, during which the motion of the ship was such that no one slept" (McCullough, 15). Some had the crossing better than others, Wendell Holmes crossed on a ship with thirty other passengers in cabin class. Wendell's trip consisted of calm seas almost the entire way, while Emma Willard had a very rough passage with heavy weather. When they arrived it was very confusing for the Americans. All of their luggage was taken to be gone through and their passports reviewed, but they were all ecstatic. The trip to Paris took about twenty–four hours with stops on the way. One of the best stops on the trip was at Rouen to see the great cathedral in the middle of the town. It was centuries older than anything they had seen and marked the way to Paris. Most decided to stay the night at Rouen and travel the last remaining eighty miles to Paris the next day ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 7. The Journey Of An Odyssey Trip Of My Own During an Odyssey trip of my own, I will be travelling to three different countries doing different things while I am there to visit. My first destination is London, United Kingdom while there I will be visiting the London Eye, Tower Bridge, and Trafalgar Square. My second place of interest for travel is Paris, France. While there to contain the boredom I will be a part of the tourist attractions such as the Eiffel Tower, Canal Saint–Martin, and the Place des Vosges. Third in my plane route is Barcelona, Spain. There to experience the beauty of their country, I will be looking at the Magic Fountain of Montjuic; Placa de Catalunya and the Sagrat Cor. London is the first destination on my list. While there I will be staying at the Kensington Close hotel a three and a half star rating out of five rating. With the flight included in the price the flight to London and a hotel for 2 days is a total of $2,197 leaving $7,803 left to spend on the rest of the trip. After checking into the hotel sooner or later I will be visiting the London Eye by bus for $1.50 one way (total of $9.00 for all transportation by bus). The London Eye is a large Ferris wheel on the South Bank of the River Thames in London, With its outstanding view many people often take it to see what London looks like from the sky, also known as the "highest viewing point in London" states Wikipedia "The structure is 135 metres (443 ft) tall and the wheel has a diameter of 120 metres (394 ft)." This exact feeling affected me in June of 2017, we were away from home experiencing a whole other feeling a whole other feeling, a whole other world. This all began when we were away in Paris, France. It was like a dream, except a reality. But my dad thought otherwise, he wanted to do something not so girly. My mom and I thought he was acting crazy, but afterall it was a family vacation, so, my mom and dad scheduled a tour out in the countryside of Paris, because most world war II battles took place in Europe. My mom exclaimed, I took two very hesitant steps, I did not want to go on a tour seeing WWII stuff, I just wanted to walk the streets of Paris and get lost. But, I kept on a straight face because I knew this was very important to my dad. As I was walking toward the back of the bus, there were many old times and tourists from all over the world! One said he was from sydney australia. I sat down, and looked around me. "This is going to be a long trip," I said. I than doze off to dreamland, hoping that this trip would be over soon. After what seemed like forever, we finally arrived. "Everyone, are at Normandie beach!" I walked off the bus yawning, feeling the bullets of wind hit my face. "Urgg." I said to myself. The other people were doing there own thing, while my family and I went inside the Normandie museum, it had soldier suits and old marine weapons, than at the end of the museum there was a gift shop. It held many items. I purchased a bottle that said normandie sand, with 1 euro. I held the glass object and walked to the beach, I excavated a piece of moist sand and placed the cork screw inside it finishing my artifact from utah beach. "Time to go!" The tour guide yelled, I glanced at my relic of sand and walked to the bus with my family. "Lili," my dad said "Ya," I said already comfortable in my seat ready to depart, "Come on!" ... Like every father, Mr. Capulet tries his best to be a good dad and have a positive relationship with his daughter. However, the the daily struggles and busy life make it difficult to know everything that happens in his daughter's life. Mr. Capulet does not know what is happening in his daughter's life. I find a very certain truth to this statement, and I found this truth because of my son. My son has helped me to understand my past, find peace with my present life, and look forward to what lies ahead in our future. Because of my son I look at the world differently, am confident in my purpose for this life, and I am able to see possibility more clearly. If I were to describe my pre–mommy days I would have to say that, in all, I was not living but merely surviving. I had no real idea who I was or wanted to be. I had a "cookie–cutter" planned life. • 15. A Little Over A Year Ago A little over a year ago, I was lucky enough to take a trip to Europe. The first destination, Paris. Arriving at Paris may have been the most exhilarating experience I have ever felt. All my life, I wanted to visit Europe and feel its history around me, and there I was standing there ready to take it all in. Besides, I may have watched Midnight in Paris, with Owen Wilson, Rachel McAdams and Tom Hiddleston (my love for the Hiddles is real), for like the tenth time before the flight. However, it never really dawned on me that I was actually there. I was in that floaty, dream–like state. Maybe it was the adrenaline or the lack of sleep, but I just couldn't fathom it. All I knew was, one, I was tired as hell and needed some shut eye, two, I looked like death, and three, I was ready to start exploring. The first thing on the itinerary was to drop off all our stuff the hotel so we could make our way to the heart of Paris. Our first hotel was in a cute little town called, Cergy Pontoise, on the residential outskirts of Paris. We were running a bit late our first day, so we caught the rapid rail into the city centre where our Parisian experience began: the Louvre! The Louvre is a fortress–turned–castle–turned–the world 's largest art museum. Personally, (and please don't hate me for saying this) I'm not about that art life. I mean its interesting and all, but I just don't really care about it, unless it has a scandalous story behind it, then I 'll stop and stare. But for me, it ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Since my father lives in Germany and my mom lives here in Wilmington, I have been able to visit Europe frequently to visit my family living in Germany. My father's side of the family meets for Christmas every year in the Lanzarote, which is one of the Canary Islands. I have been fortunate enough to meet interesting people and see amazing sights; hear different stories and live in what seem to be other worlds. It is a common misconception and misunderstanding that blood means family and water is friendship, but it is actually reversed. The blood of the covenant (bonds with other people) is thicker than the water of the womb (family members). Yes, it took a village. Since I am only sixteen, there is still tons of growing up to do and plenty of room for error and mistakes. At least we have a good support system! So in recent years since I am older, I have made an effort to spend lots of time with my dad and that side of family since we have been separated by the Atlantic Ocean. At the end of May this summer, I flew to Germany to see my dad. We spent time together and after a week, went to Mallorca. In Mallorca you see lots of different people and cultures come together on an extremely old island that has an amazing history, since the Vikings and the Moors have lived there among many other groups. You can see their influence on architecture when you see many old buildings and churches, which is exactly what we did biking through Palma and Cala Ratjada. Walking through shopping areas and on Bodega La Rambla in Palma, you frequently walk past Gypsy beggars. They are usually stationed after every block or so. I have had a few interesting encounters with Gypsies, beginning in 2010 on a trip to Lanzarote. A New Years Eve party had been organized, and a group of gypsy musicians performed ... A beautiful painted iron trunk. An old painting in a stunning frame. Light, airy gauze tapestries. Everything from fine china to sturdy Pyrex. The place is humming with life. Everything within the store has a sense of warmth, history, and character. My sister and I decide to visit an antique store that a family friend mentioned to us last week. I like shopping at antique stores, because unlike department stores you never know what you'll come across. Every so often when I visit antique stores, I don't go in for anything in particular but rather rummage through dusty shelves of broken, old things when I miraculously stumble upon a hidden treasure. I was a little disappointed when nothing really caught my eye, until I spotted a small muted tone globe sitting upon a brown round metal base, tucked away behind an old rustic cabinet in the corner of the store. It was a vintage Replogle (world's largest manufacturer of globes) ten–inch precision globe. There is some wear on the globe and the base has some minor scratches. Overall it's in good condition. I decided for twenty bucks it was a steal. Besides, I have always wanted a globe for my desk. I walked out of the antique shop with my most recent purchase under my arm and a very self–satisfied smirk on my face. Over lunch with my sister I couldn't help but admire my new favorite home décor. A really well made film draws me into the story, creating the sensation that I 'm not just observing but participating in the action. If the cast and crew have done their job, everything becomes real – the characters, plot and especially the setting. A thrilling location becomes a virtual character. An intriguing country, ancient city or far away island calls to me like a siren from a beckoning sea. I 'd like to share with you the top 5 movies that make me want to travel. Whenever I watch these films I itch to pack my bags, grab my passport and take that first step on a journey that promises to dazzle the eye and enlighten the soul. I hope these movies do the same for you. THE MUMMY (1932): Directed by Karl Freund. Story by Nina Wilcox Putnam and Richard Schayer. Written by John L. Balderston. Starring Boris Karloff as Imhotep/Ardath Bey; Zita Johann as Helen Grosvenor/Princess Ankhesenamon. As a child, this movie about a man returned to life after thousands of years got me hooked on the study of Ancient Egypt. Although filmed entirely in the USA, the set designs evoked in me the lure of the ruins of Cairo, Luxor and the arcane Valley of the Kings. Filmed only 10 years after the discovery of King Tut 's tomb, the movie expresses the world 's wonder and excitement at the unveiling of all those artifacts and gold. And malefic curses. • 25. Paris Opera Ballet Dance has been around since the earliest of human times. However, the formalization of dance came long after humans were dancing. As cultures became more developed, people could focus on other things such as rituals, dances, costumes, and entertainment (Hooper). This led to entertainment not only for the royalty and leaders of a society, but also entertainment for the commoner. Kassing notes that as the Renaissance arrived, performances in court became much more common as a form of entertainment to please the ruling class. Catherine de' Medici is known for bringing ballet to France, where it became quite popular, according to Kassing's report. When the Paris Opera Ballet was formed, it was meant to entertain royalty, requiring manners, etiquette, and protocol directed toward the royals, according to Professor Suggs. Manners, etiquette, and protocol dictate how one is to behave and act. This led to performances at the Paris Opera Ballet to be very formal affairs as evidenced today. Many dances end with bows that would have shown respect to the royalty present according to Anderson. However, today it is shown to thank the entire audience. Also, there was a decorum practiced by the audience, which can still be seen today. According to the San Francisco Ballet Company website, they suggest propriety such as avoiding tardiness, making sure electronic devices are off, no candy wrappers, no talking, and no snuggling with your significant other. These are enforced out of respect for the performer and guests around. Dress codes are another legacy left by the Paris Opera Ballet. Since the performances were first staged for King Louis XIV, Anderson suggests that they were a formal affair. This can be seen today: while most theaters do not have formal dress codes, they provide suggestions on dress. Trip Advisor advises that guests should be clean, use small amounts of perfume or collogue, and "to dress the part." My grandparents decided to surprised me with a trip going to Scotland, London, then Paris. When this happened I was overjoyed because I was going to be able to see my cousins and one was getting married when we were there. This trip was a two week trip from Aug. 31 to July 12. Before we left, my mom gave me a visa gift card so I would able to buy stuff. I went to go use it and I noticed that I could only use it in the USA. When we got there, we got settled in at our family's place. The first night we had fish and chips on the shore of the North Sea. The first day we arrived there it was a lazy and went to go look at shops and shop. When we shopped we shopped for hours. My second cousin was getting married when we were there so we were there for her. They had their wedding by the North Sea. The weather for the wedding was perfect, but it rained when we were walking to the after party where we had a fun time. On the wedding day, my third cousin, named Hannah, did my hair for the wedding. During the wedding all of the males in the wedding wore kilts. We walked around in four different castles in Scotland and they all looked very similar. The castle I liked the best was the one in Inchcolm. When we were there my papa could not wait for bangers and mash. When we were shopping and walking around Edinburgh we saw Scottish bagpipe player. When we first arrived in Paris, we learned more about laicite and Mission Civilisatrice. Laicite has multiple contexts for which many people can't seem to agree on. However, some say laicite has solely to do with secularism within France, while other theories have explained as the ways in which the French have attempted to create ideal French citizens by way of laicite. This is done when one puts their French identity above all other identities for which they may affiliate themselves with. Concepts surrounding laicite seem to suggest guidelines as to how one should act and fall in line. *Due to the differing notions of laicite, religious identities typically fall back into the foreshadows. Public displays of religious affiliation are generally frowned upon within French culture, as the French believe that French culture should come before all else. These notions coincide with the concept of Mission Civilisatrice, which is the equivalent to concept of Manifest Destiny within American history. In other words, the term refers to a civilizing mission that is used as a rationale for intervention or colonization which purports to contribute to the spread of civilization. ... As we slowly pull into a long brick driveway, I shift uncomfortably on the tattered leather seats of the taxi, absentmindedly pounding my forehead lightly on the window. The taxi begins to sway as the paved driveway melts into a multitude of clustered gravel. My fingers throb from the white headphones that I have coiled tightly around my hand out of boredom. After hours of breathing in the stale, musty air of the ancient car, I silently vow to never take a taxi in France again. As a tall, looming Victorian–esque estate appears in my view, I press my cheek on the dirty window to get a better look. The house is breathtaking. Twisting tendrils of green ivy creep up the sides of the smooth brick walls and dark gothic windows. A medieval balcony with marble turrets oversees a perfectly manicured lawn, like a scene from "Romeo and Juliet." A golden plaque that reads Chateaux de Paris hangs next to the wooden door, a sharp contrast to the maroon backdrop of the brick walls. As the taxi jaunts over the gravel road, I spot a marble fountain carved with intricate greek figurines. I immediately picture what might have been here ages ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 62. Personal Narrative Essay Two Weeks in Europe As I grew up in Northern Virginia in the middle class suburbs of Washington, DC, I suppose I had a typical childhood. I played on a girls' volleyball team and joined the varsity cheerleading squad. I did other "girly" things like hair, nails, makeup, mall shopping and parties. Not so typical was the fact that I lived with my mother, my stepfather and six siblings. We have always been a close knit family who did several things together. Our regular quality time included movies and home entertainment with casual soul food dinners for friends and family. Museums, beaches, resorts, theme parks and other tourist attractions within a five hour driving radius were about the extent of our special group outings. At school, ... For the business majors, we stopped through the headquarters of British Petroleum. So much for that. The week in London would have not been complete without fish (fried cod) and chips (fried potatoes). We dined at a restaurant called Baileys that served them with a green dish that looked like guacamole but turned out to be "mashed peas." On another day, the Ritz served us an elegant English 4 PM afternoon tea. On my own time, I found my way to The Lockhart for some good old–fashioned American southern soul food cooked like my mother's fried chicken wings, collards and mac and cheese. After all this and more, including souvenir shopping, we had a few days ahead of us for the Paris tour. They were trying to get away from the press when their car hit a tunnel near the Place de l'Alma in Paris, France. According to the news, she died in a Paris hospital at four in the morning and she was thirty–six years old. She died because she had internal bleeding and cardiac arrest because of the accident (Kornblut). My friends and I were devastated to hear the news. We loved Diana! I think that most people liked her more than they liked her ex–husband Charles (Lyall). • 66. Research Paper On Wanderlust Wanderlust Picture yourself in your happy place. Perhaps you are lounging at the beach, hiking up a mountain, sailing on the ocean, or swimming in a lake. My happy place includes all of these. Traveling with my family has been something I look forward to every summer since I was a child, long before I can remember. Traveling is a chance for me to escape the real world of stress and responsibilities and enjoy the journey and opportunities to learn about other cultures and geographies. My first big vacation started when I was just 6 years old, the summer we went to Walt Disney World. This would be the start of my wanderlust quality coming to life. What other vacation could capture a child's heart more than one from Walt Disney? As I hopped on my first plane, I could not help but be excited. We were on our way to my first big vacation! As the engine began to rumble, the fear sank in. How was this giant machine ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Again, I was overcome with a fear of a giant machine being able to float! How would a 1020 foot long, 48 meter high, 138,000 ton ship holding 1 million gallons of fuel, with 3,618 guests float! It still blows my mind! This trip included ports of call in Bermuda, St. Marten, St. Thomas and Puerto Rico. This vacation was my first all– inclusive. That being said, the endless amount of food and midnight buffets was one that would never slip my mind. I still remember the sweet smell of chocolate and never–ending desserts filling the salty air. Oh the abundance of stars! Being the only boat (or thing) out in the water, miles and miles away from civilization allowed us to see the most beautiful stars I have and will ever see, and as the shimmery blue water glistened and the salt water hit you in the face, there was no better feeling of relaxation and tranquility. • 68. My Trip To Europe Essay Many things happen in life where you learn a valuable lesson that will help you forever. When I went on vacation to Europe last summer, I had a great time touring through France and Italy. I got more out of this trip than a good time though, it taught me many lessons that will stay with me forever. These lessons include, organization and time management, patience and how different our culture is compared to other cultures. The first thing I learned when I went to Europe was how to be better organized. When travelling to a new place every couple of days, I quickly learned that I needed to be in more control of my things. • 70. Jean Frankie Biography Jean always said that music was his family, some of the parts he loved and others he deeply despised, but on the whole, he could not live without it. Jean always felt that away. In the drizzly summer of July '62, Jean and two fellow "freshers" Roy Hills and Peter Drury formed a band called the Amazing Albatrosses. "Perplexing Puffins never made it past the drawing board" said Jean during an interview with a German documentary crew back in 2005. According to interviews with past members of the band, Jean used his "nest egg",as he liked to substantial sum of money left by his paternal grandparents, to fund the bands first few recording sessions and journeys from Cambridge to Paris for gigs, the latter is where they met the UK director of A&M Records in the autumn of '64. ... These trips brought, the already inseparable trio, closer and closer to each other and soon romantic relationships become nearly impossible with the rigorously gruelling course load at Cambridge, which they managed to leave with a 2:1 impressively, and to be part of a flourishing blues rock band, which had sold 1 million copies of their début in 12 weeks. To the surprise of the British trio, the majority of their sales were in actual fact in France. It seemed as if all those laborious journeys to Paris had made a mark on the young and rebellious counterculture crowds whom scooped up every single one of their records from each and every record store from Saint–Germain–des–Prés to Montmare. Their success in the United Kingdom and the United States was hindered by the overwhelming popularity of the 'British Invasion' of The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. Soon, with their newfound rock star status and a tidy sum of earnings, the band moved across the channel to exploit their riches among the French youth whom were eager for more ... • 72. Persuasive Essay On My Trip To Houston I've been a huge football fan for nearly my entire life. It has always been a dream of mine to go and watch the super bowl, the biggest game of the year in the NFL. Next year, in 2017, I know it is possible for me to fund my own trip to Houston, where the big game will be held. This would be the experience of a lifetime for me and would honestly be something id never forget. I have a personal money budget of 3600 dollars and funding coming in from relatives as a result of my 18th birthday being only 5 months previous to the super bowl. That money is plenty and as long as I save smart I can easily fund my own trip to Houston on February 2nd, 2017 through February 6th. Traveling is a beneficial activity for your own personal growth and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Given the trip is to take place next year there are no flights scheduled that far into the future however using the prices of flights to Houston currently, it would cost approximately $700 (kayak.com). The Plane would land thursday night, February 2nd, 2017, and that night I'd reach my hotel and unpack. The hotel, actually being a hostel rather than a hotel, would cost $56 dollars a night, with all 4 nights amounting up to $224 (tripadvisor.com). Friday morning I'd go to rent a vehicle and according to Kayak.com, a Nissan Versa is available the 3 days it would be needed for only $109 including tax. With the car I'd drive 4 hours north to Arlington Texas to see the Dallas Cowboys AT&T Stadium. It's always been a dream of mine to see AT&T Stadium, and with this trip, it would be close enough to make a drive, albeit a very long drive, up there to see it. Though this does go against the ideal of living among the locals and getting that kind of advantage from travel, this is a different kind of advantage, the advantage of accomplishing a lifelong dream. Saturday however, I'd spend the entire day in Houston, living amongst the people of Houston and doing activities the people do. Granted Houston is a fairly similar culture to where i am from and living among them isn't going to change my perspective on life as it did with Neil Shea in Paris and John Lancaster in Hawaii, but I'd do my best with connecting with the culture of Houston and connect as deeply with the environment as possible. Things like horseback riding or possibly even local museums, symphonic orchestra showings, or the Aquarium. All this leads into Sunday where the entire day is dedicated to Super Bowl 51 which will also be the bulk of the cost of the trip. Tickets are estimated currently to be around $1500 which considering it's only March of 2016, that number is very liquid and could rise or fall ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 74. The Importance Of My Trip To Europe Everyone has at least one thing, place, or person that is meaningful to them, something that provokes a strong emotion. For me, there are a few things that are very meaningful to me. There is one thing that stands out to me as something I don't want to ever forget about. This is the trip to three countries in Europe this past June. As a graduation gift, I went with my teacher and students on a trip to Paris, Switzerland, and Italy. This trip not only changed my view on everything but it also changed who I am. This trip was brought about my teacher. Every year she uses EF Tours, an education tour provider, to give her students options for different trips all over the world. Some places include Mexico, Australia, Europe, and more. Typically, students 10th grade and above are invited to join her for a trip, which is cheaper than it would be to just go without EF tours. Every year I heard about these trips since I had her as my teacher all four years of high school. Originally, the thought of going on the trips scared me. My mind would go all over the place thinking of all of the bad things that could happen. Thinking about it made my heart feel like it was trying to come out of my chest, like a bird escaping its cage. As the four years went by, I would hear about these trips and just push the idea of it out of my mind. That was until senior year when this trip came up. The plan was to travel to the three countries with a possibility of going to England. Whenever I heard ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 76. My European Vacation European Vacation My childhood was filled with weekend road trips with my family traveling to surrounding states. Sitting in the back of our mini van with my brother watching Scooby–Doo is one of the best memories I have. As my brother and I got older, we started taking bigger trips. The first big trip my family took was to Disney World, I can still remember the feeling of feeling the plane's wheels take off the ground. Since then, I have always craved that feeling. Traveling became something that my family did every year, and every year I looked forward to the week spent just with my family. My parents have always dreamt about taking my brother and I to Europe. After searching for the perfect vacation, my mom decided on a 20 day toured trip to Italy, France, Switzerland, and The United Kingdom. I was ecstatic, since I had been young I had always wanted to go to Paris, and now I got to experience all of these other countries as well. The day finally came for us to leave on this European adventure. We were all packed up and heading for our first flight to O'Hare International Airport. We boarded our international plane ready to take on the thirteen hour flight that was ahead of us. The next morning we arrived at our first destination thousands of miles from home, we were finally in Rome. I had been familiar with the song, "On the Road Again", by Willie Nelson before our European Vacation, but it was only a song to me then. I never would have thought that the song my ... • 78. Blame Of Romeo And Juliet Essay The Blame of the Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet Who or what do you blame for the tragedy of Romeo and Juliet? I blame the Feud without the family feud Romeo and Juliet would have never had to hide their love. Without the feud, Tybalt would have never tried to fight Romeo. The tragedy of Romeo and Juliet was caused by the feud between the two families Montague and the Capulets, and Tybalt and I also blame Lord Capulet. I blame Tybalt because if Tybalt never started to try and pick a fight with Romeo. When Tybalt started the fight, he said "Romeo, the love I bear thee can afford No better term than this: thou art a villain." (Shakespeare 119). This quote is saying that Tybalt thinks that Romeo is a villain and he feels no love for him. "Romeo's friend Mercutio fights and is killed by Tybalt, a psychopathic Capulet cousin who is gunning for Romeo. Romeo kills Tybalt. The Prince of Verona banishes Romeo." (Romeo and Juliet's Death trip). Tybalt wanted to start a fight with Romeo but Mercurio stepped in and defended Romeo when Romeo wouldn't defend himself because Tybalt was Juliet's cousin. That caused Mercutio to die and Romeo to blame himself and to avenge Mercutio and kill Tybalt. Which in turn caused him to get banished from the city. That is why ...
