How To Write An Essay On The Oj Simpson Trial
The day was June 12, 1994 and only a few people would know that it would become a very
important day in United States history. Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman are stabbed in
Simpson's Los Angeles home. Nicole Brown was the ex–wife of NFL superstar O.J. Simpson. O.J.
came home the day after the murder and he found the police waiting for him and they placed him
under temporary arrest. The next day OJ was at his attorney's house and knowing he would be
arrested fairly shortly, he rode off in his Ford White Bronco and caused what would be known one
of the greatest police chases of all–time. He would be arrested and would be put to a trial. This
would only be the beginning of a very important trial. The trail promptly began on January 24, 1995
with prosecutors Marcia Clark and Christopher Darden deliver opening statements for the
prosecution. The judge presiding over the case was Lance Ito. The next day Johnnie Cochran
delivered the opening statement for the defense. The trial would continue for over 10 months, and
over the course of those 10 months some very important events in the trial. Some important events
that happened during the prosecution's hearing was the jurors took a tour of the ... Show more

There were racial views that took place during this trial. The whites who believed he was guilty
assume that if there were enough accusations, Simpson would be convicted, and the African
Americans who thought he was not guilty assume that here's another black man drawn into the
criminal justice system. Both groups have not moved an inch regarding their position on the case
since the verdict was released. Both races saw the same program played out on American television,
but they both had very different views about it. And in both cases, their views were influenced by
their experiences with race and their experience with the criminal justice

Case Study Nicole Brown Simpson
Introduction: The Scenario "On June 13, 1994, Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman were
found dead outside of Nicole Brown Simpson's condo in Brentwood, California at approximately
midnight" (Case). "A few days later on June 17, 1994, as police go to arrest OJ Simpson as a suspect
in the murders, Simpson and a friend attempted to flee in Simpson's white Bronco but Simpson was
eventually apprehended at his house after the chase concluded" (Linder). "On July 22, 1994,
Simpson pleaded not guilty to charges of two counts of first degree murder" (Linder). The trial
lasted from "January 29th, 1995 to October 3rd, 1995" when Simpson was ultimately found not
guilty for the murders because there was not sufficient enough evidence to convict Simpson ... Show

"Blood found on the socks contained genetic markers associated with both OJ Simpson and Nicole
Brown Simpson" (List). As we learned in class the blood evidence was very important because of its
role as a body fluid containing DNA. This evidence should have been critical in linking OJ Simpson
to the crime scene and with Nicole Brown Simpson. According to the defense Nicole Brown
Simpson's blood was planted on Simpson's socks to implicate him. "One of the defense's claims was
that from the blood samples collected on the sock there was EDTA present" (Matheson). In class we
learned that EDTA is used in the purple topped vacutainer vials that are used to collect blood. The
EDTA helps to stop the blood from coagulating and instead keeping it a liquid form. "According to
the FBI analysis the levels of EDTA found were only 1/1000 that of what would be in a vacutainer
vial" (Matheson). Given this information I would reasonably conclude that this is probably not
blood from a vacutainer vial and that the evidence was not likely planted by someone. "Another
claim that the defense had was that the blood had soaked all the way through the socks which would
not have been possible if OJ Simpson would have been wearing the socks" (List). One of the things
we studied in class was blood stain patterns. In particular one of the patterns was a wipe. If OJ
Simpson had taken the socks off and left them on the floor it would make sense that if the volume of
blood on the socks was substantial, like the amount of blood at the scene, that the blood could still
be wet enough to wipe blood from the front of the socks to the back of the socks and soak through.
A lot of this would depend on how much time it took between the murders and OJ Simpson
removing his socks, because if the blood had already started to dry before he took them off the blood
likely wouldn't

Accused Man "The day you take complete responsibility for yourself, the day you stop making any
excuses, that's the day you start to the top"– O.J. Simpson. June 12, 1994 was the day O.J Simpson
got away with murder. Nicole Brown was murdered with her companion, Ron Goldman, on June 12,
1994. Much evidence was found such as DNA evidence, a glove, and hair. In the controversial court
case of O.J Simpson and the murder of his wife Nicole, the guilty verdict incorrectly acquitted him
based on the previous violence, the evidence found, and the personal consequences following his
act. Before O.J committed the murder of Nicole, they previously encountered multiple
disagreements, which led to violence. Nicole Brown reported many times about abuse. ... Show

A close friend Robert Kardashian, agrees that O.J Simpson was responsible for the deaths of Nicole
and Ron. Bobltz explained how Kardashian believed that O.J did it, "Kardashian told Walters how
evidence presented by the prosecution caused him to seriously consider whether his friend murdered
his ex–wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend Ron Goldman" (Bobltz). Even a close friend of
O.J Simpson was debating weather or not he was actually guilty. Robert Kardashian was even O.J
Simpsons lawyer. After the case was over, even O.J Simpsons closest friends and business works
dropped O.J's deals. Gacia explains all the deals that were dropped, "While he was still in jail,
Simpson had signed a $20 million pay–per–view TV deal to help pay for his exorbitant legal fees,
but that deal quickly fell through once he was acquitted. Shortly after, his long–term talent agency
dropped him, and he was banned from ever stepping foot at his beloved golfing country club La
Riviera. Simpson was even chased out of his neighborhood after his estate was papered with posters
calling him the 'Brentwood Butcher'" (Gacia). The fact that even the closest people to O.J believed
that he murdered Nicole shows how much evidence was found. Even his most trusted workers
dropped his deals and left him. Most people would be quiet after they were just accused of murder.

Essay on O.J. Simpson is Guilty
O.J. Simpson is Guilty
This paper attempts to prove that O.J. Simpson is guilty by giving evidence from both sides, and
statements made by witnesses.
On June 12, 1994, two people were brutally killed. Those two people were Nicole Brown Simpson
and Ronald Goldman. Nicole was O.J. Simpson's ex–wife.
O.J. was arrested the next day and charged with double homicide.
O.J. pled innocent to murder chargers against him and went to trial in criminal court. The trial lasted
a year, and caused worldwide media excitement. There was so much evidence against him, it
seemed almost impossible for him to be that he'd be found innocent. For example, the famous
bloody glove found behind the guest house was proven by DNA ... Show more content on

Other evidence included a bloody footprint which matched O.J.'s shoes, blood on O.J.'s Bronco
door, on the console, on the interior side of the door, a bloody footprint in the Bronco, bloody socks
in O.J.'s house, O.J.'s injured finger, blood found at Nicole's condo that matched O.J.'s, and so
on(Posner,64).
The defense claimed that the evidence had been planted.
On June 30th, Allen Wattenberg, a knife store owner, testified during the preliminary hearing that
O.J. bought a 14–inch Stiletto knife from his store.
On June 12, O.J.'s limo driver arrived to drive O.J. to the airport and saw a black man, with the same
build as O.J. sprinting across the lawn towards O.J.'s house. Yet when O.J. answered the door, he
said he'd been napping(Biema, 56).
O.J. also acted guilty: he wrote a suicide note, and led police on a chase through L.A. that ended at
his Brentwood mansion with his surrender and arrest. Despite all this evidence, the jury found O.J.
not guilty. By all accounts, the prosecution did a poor job presenting the evidence. O.J.'s defense,
called "The Dream Team," took advantage of the prosecutions incompetence and created reasonable
doubt in the jurors minds(Posner, 62).
O.J.'s time in court is not over yet, however, he is now fighting 2 civil cases, one for the custody of
his children, and the other against the
Browns and the Goldmans for "wrongful death."

Show Me A Hero, And I Will Write You A Tragedy
O.J. Simpson Trial "Show me a hero, and I will write you a tragedy" (qtd in "O.J. Simpson"). This
quote written by F. Scott Fitzgerald perfectly depicts the fate of O.J. Simpson after he was accused
and acquitted of the double murder of his ex–wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ronald
Goldman on the night of June 12, 1994. O.J. Simpson was born and raised in San Francisco,
California where his mother worked as an orderly in a psychiatric ward and his father as a porter in
a private club. O.J. Simpson was one of the most sought after football players of all time. Not only
was he loved on the football field by millions, but also off the field where he was welcomed with
open arms by virtually any group of people. Everybody thought that after O.J. retired from the game
of football that they would not see much of him anymore, but they were wrong, the opposite
occurred. Simpson's career flourished in 1983 when he signed a contract with ABC and appeared in
multiple movies, television shows, and advertisements, boosting his career to an all time high, he
was on top of the world. His life began to take a nosedive when he was convicted of Spousal Battery
of his second wife, Nicole Brown Simpson in 1989. Shortly after this altercation, O.J. and Nicole
filed for divorce. They rekindled their romance in March of 1994, but quickly called it quits once
again in May. On a seemingly quiet Sunday in June things took a turn for the worst. On June 12,

The Simpson : The Murder Suspect For The Homicide Of...
The O.J. Simpson trial was one of the most distinguishable cases in American history. Many
Americans tuned into the bronco chase on June 17, 1994 when Simpson was the main suspect for
the murder of Nicole Brown–Simpson, O.J.'s ex–wife, and her friend Ronald Goldman, which
occurred a few days prior (Lamb, 1994). O.J. Simpson was the murder suspect for the double
homicide of Nicole Simpson and Ron Goldman. He was a retired professional football player who
resided in California. He was one of the black entertainers of the 1990's along with Oprah, Michael,
Wesley, and Spike. Through these entertainers, it was shown that there is opportunity to succeed for
black men and woman in society (White, 1995). The number one question on everyone's mind was
not if O.J. was innocent or guilty, but whether he would be found guilty or just walk away. Other
questions on the mind of American's was did he actually commit the crime? Simpson had taken off
from Los Angeles at 11:45 after receiving a ride to the airport in a limousine driven by Allan Park,
an employee of the Town and Country Limousine Company. The limousine had left the Simpson
estate on Rockingham Avenue about half an hour late, after Park called to report at 10:25 that no one
answered his ring at the door. Park observed a man he assumed to be Simpson enter his house at
10:56. Police called Simpson early Monday morning at the O 'Hare Plaza Hotel in Chicago, where
Simpson had planned to attend a convention of the Hertz rental car

On June 12, 1994 a horrible crime caught the attention of millions of people in America. The bodies
of Nicole Brown and Ronald Lyle Goldman were found dead at around 12:10 am. O.J. Simpson's
ex–wife Nicole Brown, had been stabbed multiple times in the head and neck, the wound to her
neck was fatal. O.J. Simpson was the first suspect in this double murder case. The O.J. Simpson trial
lasted more than eight months in Los Angeles, California. There was crucial evidence that
implicated Nicole's ex–husband. A bloody trail found on Nicole's house, as well as, in Simpson's
white Bronco, bloody shoe footprints, a bloody pair of socks in Simpson's house, and a glove found
on O.J. Simpson's property with his DNA. However, Johnnie Cochran Simpson's lawyer argued that
the laboratory procedures were done inaccurately, and he also alleged that the prosecutors were been
racist against his defendant. Some ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Nicole's sister said that her sister confessed being afraid of Simpson, and that she feared for her life.
Also, Nicole called 911 accusing her husband of slamming her into the wall. Moreover, Nicole's
therapist Susan Forward, said that Nicole feared O.J. would kill her. I estimate that the root of the
problem is that Nicole's accusations and fears were not taken seriously. Personally, the solution to
this problem would be to deprive from all privileges that O.J. Simpson has in jail, so his last days
would be miserable. Just recently a knife was found in O.J. Simpson's residency, apparently it was
found by a construction worker while the house was being demolish in 1998. This knife was
recently turned over to the police, however, the details are not sufficient to tie the knife to the
killings. Nonetheless, if the knife recently found is to be linked to the case, the Fifth Amendment

What is the popular or governmental accepted version of the event? Throughout the entire trial
which had so many twists and turns. O.J. Simpson was found not guilty for the two counts of
murder. At first Mr. Simpson was not charged with the murders until the day after the funeral for his
ex–wife Nicole Brown Simpson (Mueller, 1996). Throughout the time of Nicole and O.J.'s marriage
they have had a lot of domestic issues. (Rice, 1997) Explained that on January 1, 1989, officers John
Edwards and Patricia Milwiski responded to O.J.'s house where they found Nicole Brown Simpson
running out of the bushes surrounding the house naked towards them screaming "O.J., he's going to
kill me."(p. 18–21). Although there was a pattern of domestic ... Show more content on

One of the first arguments by the defense was that the bodies of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald
Goldman weren't examined promptly, and the autopsy could only put the only time of death
somewhere between 9p.m. and midnight (Mueller, 1996). The defense also tried to elicit testimony
initiative of police bungling and mishandling of evidence. This lead to the argument that Detective
Mark Fuhrman placed the glove at the crime scene that was used as evidence against O.J. Simpson
(Mueller, 1996). There were tapes of Fuhrman that were released during the investigation. On the
tapes Fuhrman was caught on tapes using the "n" word 41 times exactly. (Rice, 1997) The tapes that
were released of Mark Fuhrman demonstrated that he was a liar, racist, and a possible exception of
the bloody gloves not fitting (p.90). Everyone knows that the gloves found at the crime scene indeed
did not fit when O.J. Simpson tried them on in front of the prosecutors who were completely
shocked, the judge, jury, and the American people since there were television cameras everywhere
in the courtroom. With this on September 6th, O.J. Simpson declined to testify in his own defense
during the trial (Rice,

and was briefly incarcerated at the San Francisco Youth Guidance Center. (CNN). After that he came
back to attend high school in San Francisco and that's where his football career began. Without a
doubt something everybody knew about Simpson was that he could play football with the best of
them. He was an All American athlete among several other things. He was named NFL Player of the

There were two black socks found in Simpson's room which matched Nicole's blood. For example,

sources of blood matched the sample. Nicole Brown Simpson might well be the only person on
earth whose blood matched the blood found on the socks" (Linder). This clearly shows that Simpson
was the one that murdered Nicole since the blood found in the socks matched to hers and the one
found in the Bronco he was driving the day of the murder. There was one glove found in the crime

The glove may have not fit him but anyone with common knowledge knows that when leather gets

Why would O.J run from the police and write a suicide note if he did not do anything wrong? The
only way he got away with murder is because the glove did not fit and he had very good lawyers. If
O.J Simpsons was poor and no one really knew him he would be sitting in jail for the murders of
Nicole Brown and Ronald Goldman.

The physical evidence provided by the prosecution during the trial should have clearly shown that
O.J. Simpson was guilty of murder. Throughout the trial several pieces of incriminating evidence
were shown to the court including; shoes and gloves. To begin, bloody shoeprints were found at the

He also testified that the tests done on the glove and Bronco were untrustworthy due to sloppy
evidence handling. Henry Lee testified that blood swatches collected near the crime scene were left
to dry overnight but the evidence showed a damp swatch ended up in Simpson's packaging.
Detective Mark Fuhrman testified for the prosecution side that he was the first detective at the crime
scene and he was the one to find the bloody glove. He testified at a preliminary hearing that he
climbed the wall of O.J.'s estate and found a bloody glove on a path. Authorities stated the dark right
– handed leather glove was the mate of the other glove found near the murder scene.
Richard Rubin,a glove designer and manufacturer, testified for the prosecution. He said that the
gloves O.J. Simpson wore when he worked as a sports commentator were the same design as the
gloves found at the crime scene and on O.J.'s estate. He identified them as Aris Lights, model
number 70263. These are the same type of gloves Nicole bought Simpson in 1990. When Simpson
was asked to put the gloves on in front of the jury the gloves appeared not to fit. The prosecution
suggested the blood shrank the gloves. Blood expert, Herbert Mac–Donell had conducted an
experiment to show that the blood wouldn't have shrunk the gloves as much as the prosecution says
it did.
The defence also has a theory that police planted evidence to frame O.J. Simpson. Defence

Who Killed Jonbenoet Ramsey
Even though it happened 21 years ago, it is still the talk around the world. JonBenét Ramsey was
murdered on the day after Christmas in 1996. To this day, no one knows the truth about who actually
killed her. She was found dead inside her basement with a broken skull and bruises that implied that
she was strangled to death. Besides the bruises on her neck that implied the strangulation, a garrote
was also found tied around her. Before JonBenét was found in the basement, her family found a
ransom note on the staircase. Even with all of the evidence that has been gathered, there has been no
one charged with the murder of JonBenét. There has been a lot of suspicion about who actually
killed her, but research gives a lot of reason as to why it ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There are a few different reasons as to why we should all believe that is was Burke who murdered
JonBenét. One reason that her brother would have killed her was because of jealousy. After
JonBenét was born, all of the attention Burke used to get from his parents, especially his mom, went
to JonBenét instead. Patsy, Burke and JonBenét's mother, was a beauty queen in pageants, so she
was really excited to have a girl to enter into beauty pageants to be just like her. JonBenét was
always getting her mother's attention because they were always getting her ready for the next
pageant. Whether it was spending time doing makeup, hair, or getting new clothes, the time was not
being spent with Burke, which is all the more reason as to why he would have killed his sister.
Being jealous is not the only reason he would have killed her, though. In an interview, Judith
Phillips, a Ramsey friend, talked about how Burke had bad flashes of temper and would sometimes
get angry easily (York). Maybe JonBenét did something to upset Burke and he, in that moment, got
angry with her and killed her. Not only did Burke have a bad temper, but there was a previous
encounter between Burke and JonBenét about a year before her murder. Miss Phillips also claimed
that the encounter involved Burke hitting his sister in the face with a golf club, leaving a scar on her
cheek. There were some pieces of evidence that were found at the crime scene that would also lead
someone to believe that it was her brother that killed her. For example, not only did they find the
garrote, but they also found a piece from a broken wooden paint brush that had belonged to Patsy
(Diamond). If the Ramsey family members were the only ones in the house at the time that the
crime was committed, the only answer to the murder would be that it was someone from within their
household. There is also reason to believe that it was her brother who killed her because the autopsy

Defence lawyers say Mark Fuhrman was the chief conspirator and depict him as a racist with a
motive to put a bloody glove on O.J.'s property. Fuhrman testified under oath that he did not use any
racial slurs in the past ten years but tapes, clearly depicting Fuhrman's racial slurs, prove otherwise.
The defence's theory that he planted the glove is unsupported by any evidence. Detective Philip
Vannatter testified that he didn't consider O.J. a suspect when police entered his estate without a
warrant. Defence called upon Craig and Larry Fiato's testimony to try and prove that Vannatter was
one of many investigators who assumed Simpson was the killer and later lied to cover up their
motives for a warrantless search of O.J.'s property. The defence suggested that Vannatter carried a
vial of O.J.'s blood and used it to stain pieces of evidence. The defence suggested that the police
pulled a pair of socks out of O.J.'s hamper, sprinkled them with blood and then placed them at the
foot of his bed. The prosecution has set out a very specific timeline. They say Simpson could have
committed the murders, rushed back to his place, slipped inside and got ready to meet a limousine
that was waiting to take him to the airport all within this timeline. The defence says this makes no
sense. The defence has a series of witnesses who were near the condominium at the hour in question

The Case Of O.j. Simpson
The Unfolding Case of O.J. Simpson
Rachel S. Hillyard
Utah State University
Abstract
The unsolved murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald L. Goldman has become one of the
most discussed cases in all of history. Orenthal James "O.J." Simpson, the formal professional
football player and the ex–husband of Nicole Brown has always been the main suspect in this case.
Although found not guilty by the jury, many still believe he was the killer. In this paper, we will
discuss in great detail the events that took place at the time of the murder, as well as why or why not
O.J. is guilty. If O.J. isn't guilty, who could have been the mastermind behind these murders?

The Days After
At around 5:00am the detectives on the case arrive at O.J.'s home. The evidence found at the scene
of the crime was a bloody glove and a dark grey knitted hat said to have been left by the killer, and
bloody footprint in the driveway of O.J.'s estate. Immediately after O.J.'s flight lands in Chicago,
Detective Ron Phillips informs him that his ex–wife is dead. O.J.'s first response: "Who killed her?"
Upon arriving home from Chicago, O.J. was immediately taken into custody by LAPD where he
was then questioned for three hours but was later released. On June 17, 1994 O.J. was charged with

Is it fair that someone is murdered, but the murderers get away pronounced innocent? That is exactly
what happened in the case of OJ Simpson and Lizzie Borden. On the night of June 12, 1994, Nicole

In "The Lizzie Borden Case" it states,"His daughters grew jealous of their stepmother...she had a

along with her stepmother, which could've influenced her choice to murder her stepmother. In
paragraph 1 of "Case Study: OJ Simpson", it says,"He has previously been involved in domestic
violence incidents with her, and some of her relatives immediately told the police that he had 'finally
killed her'." This lets readers comprehend that the murder was the final part of his domestic
violence. As per her relatives, OJ had finally killed her. This means that they believed that he had
decided to kill her rather than continuing his ways. So, due to OJ and Lizzie's history of domestic
violence, they are guilty of first–degree

Agenda Setting In The Movie 'Rocky IV'
Agenda Setting is a theory that has the ability to influence the salience of topics on the public
agenda. It is a very dangerous, but helpful tactic that many mainstream media use in order to
powerfully influence the public. Media has the ability to shape and mold the most "important" news
of the time, and this is highly evident in the OJ Simpson Case and the famous Movie Rocky IV.
Nicole Brown and OJ Simpson had two children and divorced due to Simpson's multiple
investigation for domestic violence and spousal abuse. Sadly, on June 12, 1994, Nicole Brown and
her partner were found murdered outside her condominium with multiple stab wounds on her neck.

The movie is about a star boxer of the Soviet Union, Ivan Drago, who wants to take on the World
champion, Rocky Balboa. However, his friend Apollo Creed challenges him, and he dies after
getting hit by "one knockout punch" from the Soviet star. Rocky, enraged by the death of his friend,
decides to take on the Soviet "monster." 1985 was around the time the Cold War began to end, and
this movie was agenda setting at it's finest. The movie shows an American getting killed by the
harsh and cold ideals of the Russians, but only to end with a fierce and loyal American stopping his
rein and showing the American people that they, once again, are the greatest in the world.
Mainstream media sets its agenda once again by focusing the public opinion to be focused on
American finally beating the Soviet Union. Rather than allowing the people to form their own
opinion regarding the harsh reality of the cold war, the media put a spin on it to show that America
had truly "won" the war, even though there was nothing to be gained. The movie created an intense
emotional rollercoaster similar to the tension between the two rivalling countries during the Cold
War for the public. The American people truly believed that winning the Cold War involved some
type of battle in a foreign ground, rather than through negotiations and communication. Though the
war had ended in 1985, there are still issues of trust that both America and Russia

does not have an alibi, and that was the hour of the murder. He simply just says that he was home

golf at the time of the murders, while O.J. says he was just napping. When O.J. was late for his limo,
he told the limo driver that he overslept, but the driver saw a large figure about 6 ft 2 inches tall
dressed in black, walk into the entrance of Simpson's home at the time O.J. said he was asleep. The
limo driver said he rang O.J's doorbell for 20 minutes and nobody answered but once he saw the
black figure go into O.J.'s home, O.J. answered the ringing of the door bell. "Simpson's defense also
claimed that a neighbor's housekeeper, Rosa Lopez, saw his car parked outside his home. However,

his Bronco was there." (101 Pieces of evidence that prove O.J. Simpson murdered Nicole. March

Did O.J. Simpson Murder Nicole? The murder case of Nicole Brown Simpson was and still is one of
the most famous cases ever known. OJ simpson was a former NFL star and actor. He has pretty
much been famous all of his life. When his ex–wife and her friend, Ronald Goldman, were found
murdered outside of Nicole's house on June 12, 1994, OJ was the prime suspect. OJ was charged
with the murders, but after almost nine months of trials, he was found not guilty. The trial of OJ
Simpson may have found him not guilty, but many believe that he, in fact, was guilty. There were
lots of facts and evidence against OJ, but he, of course, had the best lawyers and attorneys that
money could buy on his side. His lawyers and attorneys turned the murder case into a racial battle
that took the spotlight off of what crimes had really been committed. In 1985, OJ and Nicole became
married, but their marriage was far from "picture perfect." OJ wasn't just unfaithful, he was
extremely abusive. Friends and relatives on each side would often notice bruises on Nicole's body.

Simpson is guilty and it was not easy to prove in a courtroom, because evidence was tampered with,

errors that took place when collecting, and storing evidence from the crime. I also feel that if the
juror panel were selected in Santa Monica, where the crime took place, a very different judgment
and verdict would be made. Simpson's jury panel was selected from Downtown Los Angeles.
Selecting a jury panel from Downtown Los Angeles led to a significantly different demographic of
people selected to be on the panel, than residents of Santa Monica. Selecting a jury panel from Santa
Monica would have led to a much different group of individuals, with an advanced level of
education. I believe many oversights were made in the case and if it were handled appropriately,

Simpsons mind. You could observe his behavior, which at its best was erratic, the blood in his house

evidence prosecution showed that O.J. Simpson killed two people on June 12th, 1994. Which leads
to the question what could he have been feeling? What could he have been thinking that lead him to
commit murder? His "hypothetical" account of "if" he did it, gives you what could possibly be the
thoughts and feelings that lead to his behavior. He expresses in the book "If I did it" His growing
anger with Nicole, how in their seventeen–year relationship there had been struggles between them
that had become violent at times with reportedly thirty 911 calls to the police reporting abuse by O.J.
How the night of her murder he had seen her earlier in the night and how no matter what he did his

OJ Simpson was found not guilty for the murders of his ex–wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her
friend Ronald Goldman in 1995 (BBC On This Day, 1995). He had been accused of stabbing his ex–
wife and Goldman to death the previous year outside her townhouse (Los Angeles Times,1994). The
case is often considered to be "one of the most controversial, compelling and repulsive court cases
in American History" (The Guardian,2007). In recent years the case has only increased in notoriety
when in 2008 when Simpson was found guilty of kidnapping and robbery and was sentenced to 33
years in prison (but was granted parole in 2017) (BBC News,2017), this spurred the public to relive
the court case and even ponder if he was truly guilty of the murders all along.

OJ Simpson was a renowned football player winning awards throughout his time on the pitch. In
1977 he met Nicole Brown and by 1988 they were married and had two children (Simpson,2006).
Despite their image as a 'golden couple' in 1992 Nicole filed for divorce a few years after OJ
pleaded no contest to spousal abuse in 1989. This was followed up by several reports of Simpson
stalking Nicole and trying to break into her house in 1993 (Fox News, 2016). It all ended with the
discovery of Nicole and Ron bodies on the early morning on the 13th July 1994. Within hours there
was a media circus surrounding the murders with reports that evidence found at the scene and at
Simpsons estate heavily implicated Simpson despite his attorney proclaiming his innocence
(Hunt,1999). CNN highlights that we find the case of OJ Simpson so fascinating due to the idea that
when Simpson rose to fame he seemingly overcame the extreme racial tensions in the USA and
wasn't suppressed like other ethnic minority individuals of that time. However, when the murders
occurred, and he was named as the prime suspect, that "protective bubble" ceased and the nation
was divided on whether he was a black man wrongly accused of the murder of white individuals or
if he was a guilty man blaming his arrest on the idea of institutional racism in the criminal justice
system. This shows that the Simpson case is captivating to all as

bronco. Nicole had called the cops complaining about O.J. abusing her before the murder ever
happened. On the day O.J. was going to be arrested he left Robert Kardashian's house with one of
his close friends, AC, to run from the cops. The police were on a manhunt for hours. Finally on June

He was prone to jealous rages, and Nicole called the cops many times because O.J. was abusing her.
One of the times she called they could hear O.J. beating her in the background of the call. Her
friends told the police that he would stalk her all the time. He would stand outside of her window
and watch her with other men. '"He's going to kill me, he's going to kill me," she screamed. "Who?"
the police asked. "O.J." she cried. The officer asked, "Do you mean O.J. Simpson, the football
player?" With that episode and his arrest on wife–beating charges, detailed in a police report made
public late last week, Simpson's violent secret was revealed. Yet few of his friends, fans or members
of the news media seem to believe it or particularly care, let alone see it as a foreshadowing of the
bizarre events that unfolded last week." (Globe,

Did O.J really do it? This question has been asked multiple time and many people have a lot of
questions. The case took in Los Angeles, California and is one of the most publicized criminal trials
in America's legal history. The O.J Simpson trial was the worst case to ever take place because O.J
murdered two people and was found "not guilty", popularity and money were involved, and it was
the most expensive and longest trial to ever take place in California history.
The O.J simpson trial was the worst case to ever take place because O.J murdered two people and
was found "not guilty". Nicole Simpson was the ex wife of O.J simpson, they were married for
seven years (latimes.com). Nicole had a friend named Ronald Goldman who never personally knew
O.J other than from his fame. On the night of June 12, 1994 sometime after ten o'clock, O.J Simpson
murdered Nicole Simpson and Ronald Goldman (law2.umkc.edu). On that night, O.J fled to
Chicago, Illinois from Los Angeles, California where soon after a neighbor had discovered the two
bodies. A warrant for arrest was put out for O.J Simpson. Questions were asked and the trial had
begun. O.J Simpson ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
O.J was a former football star who was very popular and rich. After O.J had a warrant for his arrest
put out, DNA samples were taken from him which were soon "allegedly" lost by a dream team
member (aboutforensics.com). The dream team was a group of individuals bought by O.J Simpson
which included some of the best lawyers out there along with some of his friends for the jury. On
October 3, 1995 the dream team announced O.J was not guilty. "We the jury in the above entitled
action find the defendant, Orenthal James Simpson, not guilty of th crime of murder"
(law2.umkc.edu). O.J bought his way out, the police had proof he was guilty but since he had his
famous title, they sent him on his way. The was still not

Not Guilty: The O. J. Simpson Trial
On the night of June 12, 1994 one of history's greatest murder mysteries that has yet to be solved
still remains in question. The O.J. Simpson Trial was one of the biggest trial that lasted 8 months in
time and yet the case still remains open as for whodunit is yet to be solved. It involves the death of
Nicole Brown SImpson (O.J. Simpson's ex–wife) and Ron Goldman. Even though many supporting
evidence pointed toward O.J. Simpson on October 3 around 10 a.m. he was declared "Not Guilty."
In the case of the O.J. Simpson trial, all odds turn to him being the verdict for the truth behind the
murders of Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman, as theories such as the glove, his chicago flight, and
threats to Nicole help provide evidence to prove O.J. truly did it. ... Show more content on

they found he was in Chicago. "Simpson checked into the hotel at 6:15 a.m. Monday, Chicago time,
indicating that the football star could have taken any of at least three flights that left Los Angeles
after 11:30 p.m. Sunday." stated the article, "The Trial of Orenthal James Simpson: An Account," as
they discovered the bodies at Nicole's condominium around 12:10 a.m. Why would he have taken a
flight the night of the murder? After police contacted O.J. Simpson he flew back to LA as soon as he
could, but what was strange was he never asked who, how, or when, after being told the devastating
news. Soon as he arrived to the crime scene he was taken in by police for questioning and, five days
later he was being accused of the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron

The Trial Of The People V. O.j. Simpson
Often termed "The Trial of the Century", the case of The People v. O.J. Simpson was one of the
most publicized in the world. Orenthal James Simpson was born in San Francisco on July 9, 1947.
Whilst at USC, he had started college football, which would lead him to have a famous career with
the National Football League, which he retired from in 1979. During this time, Mr. Simpson married
his first wife, Marguerite L. Whitley, and had three children. Afterwards, O.J. Simpson moved onto
his acting and sport–casting career, during which he divorced his wife ("O.J. Simpson Biography"
2016). Nicole Brown, born in West Germany in 1959, had grown up in Southern California. Whilst

Near the victims themselves, there was a single intact leather glove as well as a black ski cap. After
more than an hour had passed since the police arrival at the scene, Detective Lang of the homicide
division arrived at 4:25 AM, to further investigate. Once there, the keys and pager of Ron Goldman
were found on the ground, as well as additional dog footprints (Trial of the Century). The bloody
footprints exiting the property were found to be a size 12, and are depicted in Figure 1. It is
important to note that there was a slight inconsistency of the footprints further away from the
bodies, as if the perpetrator looked back. Figure 1 The first thing Detective Lang had started to
analyze was the blood related evidence. By observing the heel to toe stride analysis of the bloody
footprints, it was determined that a person was indeed wearing those shoes, and the prints were not
planted. As aforementioned, the inconsistency of the footprints revealed that the murderer actually
stopped in his escape and looked back towards the bodies. A possible reason for this was that the
murderer might have been looking for something; such as the ski cap or glove he lost (Brown). It
has been reported that there were thick bushes and trees in the walkway near the bodies. This may
have made the criminal decide to not search for them, and

Essay On O. J. Simpson Double Homicide
A rich famous athlete with plenty of money to hire the best lawyers and manipulate the
judicial system to be found not guilty of a double homicide. This well–known athlete is O. J.
Simpson. The victims of the double homicide were Nicole Brown Simpson, O. J.'s ex–wife, and
Ronald Goldman. Did O.J. Simpson really commit the double homicide? To this day, this is a
controversial question. Kidnapping a friend in an attempt to flee and threatening to kill himself
all before even being arrested and accused for the crime, testimonies kept from the jury, along
with other significant evidence are sure signs that O. J. Simpson should have been found guilty
of the double homicide.

This team of lawyers were able to pick the perfect jury needed for their not
guilty verdict. Also, the team of lawyers did a great job of manipulating the evidence into O. J.'s
favor or even having it dismissed from the trail. In fact, all points made above and the evidence
provided yet not allowed in the trial clearly prove O. J. Simpson was guilty of the double
homicide of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman.
If O. J. Simpson was not so famous and didn't have the ability to pay his "dream team" of
lawyers over $20 million dollars he would have inevitably been found guilty of this double
homicide. This team of lawyers used every opportunity to manipulate and tear down the
prosecution's case that clearly proved O. J Simpson was guilty. The hair, fiber, and blood
evidence were proven to be O. J.'s but not allowed to be used against him. A confession is
normally used to prove a normal person guilty, but not if you are rich and famous with plenty of
money. O. J. Simpson was guilty of this double homicide and if he was a normal person this
verdict would have been short and

How To Write An Essay On The Oj Simpson Trial

  • 1. How To Write An Essay On The Oj Simpson Trial The day was June 12, 1994 and only a few people would know that it would become a very important day in United States history. Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman are stabbed in Simpson's Los Angeles home. Nicole Brown was the ex–wife of NFL superstar O.J. Simpson. O.J. came home the day after the murder and he found the police waiting for him and they placed him under temporary arrest. The next day OJ was at his attorney's house and knowing he would be arrested fairly shortly, he rode off in his Ford White Bronco and caused what would be known one of the greatest police chases of all–time. He would be arrested and would be put to a trial. This would only be the beginning of a very important trial. The trail promptly began on January 24, 1995 with prosecutors Marcia Clark and Christopher Darden deliver opening statements for the prosecution. The judge presiding over the case was Lance Ito. The next day Johnnie Cochran delivered the opening statement for the defense. The trial would continue for over 10 months, and over the course of those 10 months some very important events in the trial. Some important events that happened during the prosecution's hearing was the jurors took a tour of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There were racial views that took place during this trial. The whites who believed he was guilty assume that if there were enough accusations, Simpson would be convicted, and the African Americans who thought he was not guilty assume that here's another black man drawn into the criminal justice system. Both groups have not moved an inch regarding their position on the case since the verdict was released. Both races saw the same program played out on American television, but they both had very different views about it. Case Study Nicole Brown Simpson Introduction: The Scenario "On June 13, 1994, Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman were found dead outside of Nicole Brown Simpson's condo in Brentwood, California at approximately midnight" (Case). "A few days later on June 17, 1994, as police go to arrest OJ Simpson as a suspect in the murders, Simpson and a friend attempted to flee in Simpson's white Bronco but Simpson was eventually apprehended at his house after the chase concluded" (Linder). "On July 22, 1994, Simpson pleaded not guilty to charges of two counts of first degree murder" (Linder). The trial lasted from "January 29th, 1995 to October 3rd, 1995" when Simpson was ultimately found not guilty for the murders because there was not sufficient enough evidence to convict Simpson ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... "Blood found on the socks contained genetic markers associated with both OJ Simpson and Nicole Brown Simpson" (List). As we learned in class the blood evidence was very important because of its role as a body fluid containing DNA. This evidence should have been critical in linking OJ Simpson to the crime scene and with Nicole Brown Simpson. According to the defense Nicole Brown Simpson's blood was planted on Simpson's socks to implicate him. "One of the defense's claims was that from the blood samples collected on the sock there was EDTA present" (Matheson). In class we learned that EDTA is used in the purple topped vacutainer vials that are used to collect blood. The EDTA helps to stop the blood from coagulating and instead keeping it a liquid form. "According to the FBI analysis the levels of EDTA found were only 1/1000 that of what would be in a vacutainer vial" (Matheson). Given this information I would reasonably conclude that this is probably not blood from a vacutainer vial and that the evidence was not likely planted by someone. "Another claim that the defense had was that the blood had soaked all the way through the socks which would not have been possible if OJ Simpson would have been wearing the socks" (List). One of the things we studied in class was blood stain patterns. In particular one of the patterns was a wipe. If OJ Simpson had taken the socks off and left them on the floor it would make sense that if the volume of blood on the socks was substantial, like the amount of blood at the scene, that the blood could still be wet enough to wipe blood from the front of the socks to the back of the socks and soak through. A lot of this would depend on how much time it took between the murders and OJ Simpson removing his socks, because if the blood had already started to dry before he took them off the blood likely wouldn't ... June 12, 1994 was the day O.J Simpson got away with murder. Nicole Brown was murdered with her companion, Ron Goldman, on June 12, 1994. Much evidence was found such as DNA evidence, a glove, and hair. In the controversial court case of O.J Simpson and the murder of his wife Nicole, the guilty verdict incorrectly acquitted him based on the previous violence, the evidence found, and the personal consequences following his act. Even a close friend of O.J Simpson was debating weather or not he was actually guilty. Robert Kardashian was even O.J Simpsons lawyer. After the case was over, even O.J Simpsons closest friends and business works dropped O.J's deals. Gacia explains all the deals that were dropped, "While he was still in jail, Simpson had signed a $20 million pay–per–view TV deal to help pay for his exorbitant legal fees, but that deal quickly fell through once he was acquitted. Shortly after, his long–term talent agency dropped him, and he was banned from ever stepping foot at his beloved golfing country club La Riviera. Simpson was even chased out of his neighborhood after his estate was papered with posters calling him the 'Brentwood Butcher'" (Gacia). The fact that even the closest people to O.J believed that he murdered Nicole shows how much evidence was found. Even his most trusted workers dropped his deals and left him. • 13. Essay on O.J. Simpson is Guilty O.J. Simpson is Guilty This paper attempts to prove that O.J. Simpson is guilty by giving evidence from both sides, and statements made by witnesses. On June 12, 1994, two people were brutally killed. Those two people were Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman. Nicole was O.J. Simpson's ex–wife. O.J. was arrested the next day and charged with double homicide. O.J. pled innocent to murder chargers against him and went to trial in criminal court. The trial lasted a year, and caused worldwide media excitement. There was so much evidence against him, it seemed almost impossible for him to be that he'd be found innocent. For example, the famous bloody glove found behind the guest house was proven by DNA ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Other evidence included a bloody footprint which matched O.J.'s shoes, blood on O.J.'s Bronco door, on the console, on the interior side of the door, a bloody footprint in the Bronco, bloody socks in O.J.'s house, O.J.'s injured finger, blood found at Nicole's condo that matched O.J.'s, and so on(Posner,64). The defense claimed that the evidence had been planted. On June 30th, Allen Wattenberg, a knife store owner, testified during the preliminary hearing that O.J. bought a 14–inch Stiletto knife from his store. On June 12, O.J.'s limo driver arrived to drive O.J. to the airport and saw a black man, with the same build as O.J. sprinting across the lawn towards O.J.'s house. Yet when O.J. answered the door, he said he'd been napping(Biema, 56). O.J. also acted guilty: he wrote a suicide note, and led police on a chase through L.A. that ended at his Brentwood mansion with his surrender and arrest. Despite all this evidence, the jury found O.J. not guilty. By all accounts, the prosecution did a poor job presenting the evidence. O.J.'s defense, called "The Dream Team," took advantage of the prosecutions incompetence and created reasonable doubt in the jurors minds(Posner, 62). O.J.'s time in court is not over yet, however, he is now fighting 2 civil cases, one for the custody of his children, and the other against the Browns and the Goldmans for "wrongful death."

Scott Fitzgerald perfectly depicts the fate of O.J. Simpson after he was accused and acquitted of the double murder of his ex–wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ronald Goldman on the night of June 12, 1994. O.J. Simpson was born and raised in San Francisco, California where his mother worked as an orderly in a psychiatric ward and his father as a porter in a private club. O.J. Simpson was one of the most sought after football players of all time. Not only was he loved on the football field by millions, but also off the field where he was welcomed with open arms by virtually any group of people. Everybody thought that after O.J. retired from the game of football that they would not see much of him anymore, but they were wrong, the opposite occurred. Simpson's career flourished in 1983 when he signed a contract with ABC and appeared in multiple movies, television shows, and advertisements, boosting his career to an all time high, he was on top of the world. His life began to take a nosedive when he was convicted of Spousal Battery of his second wife, Nicole Brown Simpson in 1989. Shortly after this altercation, O.J. and Nicole filed for divorce. • 26. The Simpson : The Murder Suspect For The Homicide Of... The O.J. Simpson trial was one of the most distinguishable cases in American history. Many Americans tuned into the bronco chase on June 17, 1994 when Simpson was the main suspect for the murder of Nicole Brown–Simpson, O.J.'s ex–wife, and her friend Ronald Goldman, which occurred a few days prior (Lamb, 1994). O.J. Simpson was the murder suspect for the double homicide of Nicole Simpson and Ron Goldman. He was a retired professional football player who resided in California. He was one of the black entertainers of the 1990's along with Oprah, Michael, Wesley, and Spike. Through these entertainers, it was shown that there is opportunity to succeed for black men and woman in society (White, 1995). The number one question on everyone's mind was not if O.J. was innocent or guilty, but whether he would be found guilty or just walk away. Other questions on the mind of American's was did he actually commit the crime? Simpson had taken off from Los Angeles at 11:45 after receiving a ride to the airport in a limousine driven by Allan Park, an employee of the Town and Country Limousine Company. The limousine had left the Simpson estate on Rockingham Avenue about half an hour late, after Park called to report at 10:25 that no one answered his ring at the door. Park observed a man he assumed to be Simpson enter his house at 10:56. A bloody trail found on Nicole's house, as well as, in Simpson's white Bronco, bloody shoe footprints, a bloody pair of socks in Simpson's house, and a glove found on O.J. Also, Nicole called 911 accusing her husband of slamming her into the wall. Moreover, Nicole's therapist Susan Forward, said that Nicole feared O.J. would kill her. I estimate that the root of the problem is that Nicole's accusations and fears were not taken seriously. Personally, the solution to this problem would be to deprive from all privileges that O.J. Simpson was found not guilty for the two counts of murder. At first Mr. Simpson was not charged with the murders until the day after the funeral for his ex–wife Nicole Brown Simpson (Mueller, 1996). Throughout the time of Nicole and O.J.'s marriage they have had a lot of domestic issues. One of the first arguments by the defense was that the bodies of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman weren't examined promptly, and the autopsy could only put the only time of death somewhere between 9p.m. and midnight (Mueller, 1996). The defense also tried to elicit testimony initiative of police bungling and mishandling of evidence. This lead to the argument that Detective Mark Fuhrman placed the glove at the crime scene that was used as evidence against O.J. Simpson (Mueller, 1996). There were tapes of Fuhrman that were released during the investigation. On the tapes Fuhrman was caught on tapes using the "n" word 41 times exactly. Everyone knows that the gloves found at the crime scene indeed did not fit when O.J. To this day, no one knows the truth about who actually killed her. She was found dead inside her basement with a broken skull and bruises that implied that she was strangled to death. Besides the bruises on her neck that implied the strangulation, a garrote was also found tied around her. Before JonBenét was found in the basement, her family found a ransom note on the staircase. There has been a lot of suspicion about who actually killed her, but research gives a lot of reason as to why it ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There are a few different reasons as to why we should all believe that is was Burke who murdered JonBenét. One reason that her brother would have killed her was because of jealousy. After JonBenét was born, all of the attention Burke used to get from his parents, especially his mom, went to JonBenét instead. Patsy, Burke and JonBenét's mother, was a beauty queen in pageants, so she was really excited to have a girl to enter into beauty pageants to be just like her. JonBenét was always getting her mother's attention because they were always getting her ready for the next pageant. Whether it was spending time doing makeup, hair, or getting new clothes, the time was not being spent with Burke, which is all the more reason as to why he would have killed his sister. Being jealous is not the only reason he would have killed her, though. In an interview, Judith Phillips, a Ramsey friend, talked about how Burke had bad flashes of temper and would sometimes get angry easily (York). Maybe JonBenét did something to upset Burke and he, in that moment, got angry with her and killed her. Not only did Burke have a bad temper, but there was a previous encounter between Burke and JonBenét about a year before her murder. Miss Phillips also claimed that the encounter involved Burke hitting his sister in the face with a golf club, leaving a scar on her cheek. There were some pieces of evidence that were found at the crime scene that would also lead someone to believe that it was her brother that killed her. For example, not only did they find the garrote, but they also found a piece from a broken wooden paint brush that had belonged to Patsy (Diamond). If the Ramsey family members were the only ones in the house at the time that the crime was committed, the only answer to the murder would be that it was someone from within their household. Nicole Simpson was the estranged wife of the famous football player and T.V. star O.J. Simpson. The people directly involved with this case are Judge Lance Ito, the prosecution lawyers, Marcia Clark and Christopher Darden, the defense lawyers, Johnnie Cochran, Robert Shapiro and Robert Blasier , the jury and the defendant, O.J. Defence lawyers say Mark Fuhrman was the chief conspirator and depict him as a racist with a motive to put a bloody glove on O.J.'s property. Fuhrman testified under oath that he did not use any racial slurs in the past ten years but tapes, clearly depicting Fuhrman's racial slurs, prove otherwise. The defence's theory that he planted the glove is unsupported by any evidence. Detective Philip Vannatter testified that he didn't consider O.J. a suspect when police entered his estate without a warrant. Defence called upon Craig and Larry Fiato's testimony to try and prove that Vannatter was one of many investigators who assumed Simpson was the killer and later lied to cover up their motives for a warrantless search of O.J.'s property. The defence suggested that Vannatter carried a vial of O.J.'s blood and used it to stain pieces of evidence. The defence suggested that the police pulled a pair of socks out of O.J.'s hamper, sprinkled them with blood and then placed them at the foot of his bed. The prosecution has set out a very specific timeline. They say Simpson could have committed the murders, rushed back to his place, slipped inside and got ready to meet a limousine that was waiting to take him to the airport all within this timeline. The defence says this makes no sense. The defence has a series of witnesses who were near the condominium at the hour in question and saw ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In paragraph 1 of "Case Study: OJ Simpson", it says,"He has previously been involved in domestic violence incidents with her, and some of her relatives immediately told the police that he had 'finally killed her'." This lets readers comprehend that the murder was the final part of his domestic violence. As per her relatives, OJ had finally killed her. Rocky, enraged by the death of his friend, decides to take on the Soviet "monster." 1985 was around the time the Cold War began to end, and this movie was agenda setting at it's finest. The movie shows an American getting killed by the harsh and cold ideals of the Russians, but only to end with a fierce and loyal American stopping his rein and showing the American people that they, once again, are the greatest in the world. Mainstream media sets its agenda once again by focusing the public opinion to be focused on American finally beating the Soviet Union. Rather than allowing the people to form their own opinion regarding the harsh reality of the cold war, the media put a spin on it to show that America had truly "won" the war, even though there was nothing to be gained. The movie created an intense emotional rollercoaster similar to the tension between the two rivalling countries during the Cold War for the public. The American people truly believed that winning the Cold War involved some type of battle in a foreign ground, rather than through negotiations and communication. In recent years the case has only increased in notoriety when in 2008 when Simpson was found guilty of kidnapping and robbery and was sentenced to 33 years in prison (but was granted parole in 2017) (BBC News,2017), this spurred the public to relive the court case and even ponder if he was truly guilty of the murders all along. Despite their image as a 'golden couple' in 1992 Nicole filed for divorce a few years after OJ pleaded no contest to spousal abuse in 1989. This was followed up by several reports of Simpson stalking Nicole and trying to break into her house in 1993 (Fox News, 2016). It all ended with the discovery of Nicole and Ron bodies on the early morning on the 13th July 1994. Within hours there was a media circus surrounding the murders with reports that evidence found at the scene and at Simpsons estate heavily implicated Simpson despite his attorney proclaiming his innocence (Hunt,1999). However, when the murders occurred, and he was named as the prime suspect, that "protective bubble" ceased and the nation was divided on whether he was a black man wrongly accused of the murder of white individuals or if he was a guilty man blaming his arrest on the idea of institutional racism in the criminal justice system.
