of the crimes that they committed, crimes that often involve the deaths of others or equally heinous
actions, yet one historical example stands out for not following this rule. In 399 BC, in Athens,
Greece, two men put a meek philosopher named Socrates on trial for two crimes he purportedly
committed: not following state gods and corrupting the youth. These charges alleged against Socrates
reflected the general sentiment of Athenians regarding Socrates; namely that he was an atheistic
charlatan. The jury found Socrates guilty of these crimes and executed, a punishment that does not
logically befit the supposed crimes that he committed. No sane or logical jury would find him guilty
of such vague claims, especially in such a vehemently democratic polis as Athens, and they would
never have executed Socrates for such meager offenses, nonetheless he was. Execution was especially
unnecessary because Socrates himself was on the verge of death; he was in his seventies in the Greek

Age and experience has seem to taken a back seat for teams. While it is important to develop young
prospects, veteran leadership is often hard to find during games, in the locker room, and particularly
during the playoffs. There are four current players in the National Hockey League who are still
excelling well into their 40 s, contributing on a nightly basis. They are Martin Brodeur, Teemu
Selanne, Jaromir Jagr, and Daniel Alfredsson.
Daniel Alfredsoon, the longtime captain of the Ottawa Senators, now plays for the Detroit Red Wings.
Alfredsson is 41 years old and is currently second on the team this season in goals, having lit the lamp
17 times. With injuries to stars Pavel Datsyuk and Henrik Zetterberg, Alfredsson has been able to step

possible. This mask that is on display in the Museum of Fine Arts Boston is about 3 feet tall to about 2
feet wide. This certain piece of magnificent art is extremely detailed with intricate designs covering it
all around. The Museum of Fine Arts makes it easy to pay attention to, because of its detail and how
the mask is displayed. The Mummy Mask has it s own small alter with a spot light shining down on it
creating dramatic shadows in a very dim room. The decorations include inlaid glass eyes, a gold leaf
and is hand painted and gilded glass. This mask is not paper maché like the masks that were made in

The Tillermans first start their journey in a city called Provincetown, where they first lived, next, they

the Tillermans must find a new shelter every day, somehow make money, and they aren t sure if they

Tone: I think the tone is hopeful, because the Tillermans just want to stay one family, so they do

Theme: The theme may be stick together. As long as you have people there to support and help you,

Irony: It s ironic that, Mr. Rudyard came to attack the Tillermans, for running away, but he got

Imagery: The leaves made designs on the background of the sky, intricate patterns that shifted with
any slightest breeze. On page 69, this creates a picture in your mind, making it imagery.
