Not only was sweat dripping from my brow, it was dripping all over my weak body. I sat down and
took my first sip water. That sip tasted like the most glorious pure ice water I had ever drank. Five
minutes went by and resting was over. Luckily though a shooting drill came next. On my first shot I
used great force and my laces to send the ball in. It flew up towards the very top right corner of the

As thin air encloses me as I inaugurate the last day of skiing at Breckenridge, Colorado. Three days
of skiing cease rather painlessly; I stumble oftenly but an evening on the couch next to a crackling
wood fire soothes my minor aches. Closing times nudges on the final day of our weekend trip as I
prepare for my ultimate run of the vacation. Fresh off the ski lift, I glide towards the junction of the
trials unoccupied skilled face of the mountain. I detach my boots from my ski's and rest them on my
shoulder, climbing up the rim of the mountain while the wind sways me back and forth, reaching the
top, clicking my skis back on. After a moment of deliberating, I fearlessly select a narrow path so

Growing up can be scary for anyone. Some kids handle it better than others. Holden Caulfield, the
main character in J.D salinger's book The Catcher in the Rye has a difficult time handling
responsibilities and adult situations. Holden is afraid to grow up because he does not want to

The Bridge Uncrossed In the book The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger, Holden Caulfield, the
main character, Holden Caulfield, is faced between two realms so different, connected by an old
ruggedy rope bridge in which he stands. Only accepting the past will he he will conquer his fear and
cross to the other side in safe passage. As human beings we all fear to grow up. As children we live
in a realm of wonder and innocence. Here we only strive for fun and when things don't go our way

The most important theme in this book is Alienation, or isolating himself from the society to protect
himself. Life has been harsh with Holden, and Holden feels "Trapped on the other side" Isolating
himself in a way makes him believe that he is better than everybody else, and also to show that he is
no phony, that he is unique. Because of this isolation, he never has this human love or human

Response: The Last Days of Judas Iscariot I was very curious as to what this play was going to be
about, because when I first read the title, I was not able to make anything of it. Being someone who
isn't religious, it was a refreshing take on a debatable concept. Before the reading the audience guide
and seeing the play, I would have never in a million years though the play would be a religious
debating stemming from the New Testament. I was very surprised to find out that the play was about
a religious debate because I personally do not see this too often and I always thought that people
tried to avoid anything that would cause a religious debate. The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, set in
Purgatory, was thought provoking play about a man who has committed a great sin and the people
who tried to explain that for an all forgiving greater divine power, why wasn't Judas Iscariot
forgiven for his sins? "The Last Days of Judas Iscariot examines the plight and fate of the New
Testament's most infamous and unexplained sinner." At first and for the longest time, id didn't know
what to make of that sentence. But after having some time to think about the events that went on

The last day of my Early College High School (ECHS) 2017 year, was a day I will never forget. On
the last day of school, I got to drive my dad's truck; I remember telling myself I can't wait until I get
my own car, which is something I asked for on my Christmas list to Santa. I went to classes ready to
get my last final over with. The day went by pretty fast after the test, then we went to lunch and then
we had clubs. Since my club was not allowed to go to the gym, I stayed inside with the Medical
club. In the medical club, Cody gave a long presentation on the different Affordable Care Acts
(ACA) proposal, and we got into a debate which got me ready for the break even more.
At the beginning of the break, I was excited to be out of school, I had made so many plans. I made
plans to go to Austin and go to the spray paint park, and travel to Louisiana to celebrate my niece's
first birthday, but all of my plans were ruined.
For the first week of my break, I was sick. I winded up catching both the flu and strep throat, I
thought my Christmas break would be ruined, but it wasn't. During the time that I was sick, I got to
plan which Christmas gifts to get my family members instead of waiting until the last moment, and
everyone winded up loving their gifts. Due to the fact of me being sick, I couldn't go anywhere;
which meant no chores, no being told to get out the house; I actually had time to relax. While

this novel about a 16–year–old named Holden Caulfield. Holden is your not so average teenager. He
is more of a "woe is me" kind of teenager. Holden has two siblings and one dead sibling He goes to
expensive private schools, but flunks out of them because he doesn't apply himself. The main part in
this book is when Holden takes a three day vacation in New York City to get away from Pencey
Prep and to let his parents cool off after they get their letter about Holden flunking out of Pencey.

Holden gets drunk multiple times in the book and he smokes quit a bit. Keep in mind, Holden is 16
years old and the drinking age limit is 18 back in this time. He gets away with drinking illegally. His
smoking is legal, but is not a good influence on sophomores in high school. This book makes it
seem like it is okay to do illegal things and to smoke. Smoking is unhealthy and no one should do it.
Drinking illegally isn't okay and could lead to bad things. This is also making it seem like it's easy

young boy's corruption of a poem by Robert Burns. The poem is titled "Coming Thro' the Rye" but
the young boy misinterpreted one of the lines. Instead of saying "If a body meet a body, coming
through the rye," the line from the original poem, he sang"If a body catch a body, coming through

It was the last day of school, Kaylee rode the bus home just as she does every other day. When she
got home, the key to her house fell out of her hand and into a ditch. She couldn't find it, her brother
helped search for the key but it was nowhere to be seen. Their mom wouldn't get off work for

The last day of school was a good day. Instead of having to take an ELAR exam we did PSP. On the
last day I had ELAR for 4th and 5th period. I didn't have to do anything. Since we didn't have to

Just like Holden, all they ever long for is just some little acts of affection and care, little things that
are enough for them to feel loved.
In contrast to The Catcher in the Rye following the story of a single person, there is Stand by Me
which is a movie following the tale of four boys. This is a story about a road trip, but unlike typical
road trips, this one involves travel by foot, and not over an extended distance. The main characters
are Gordie: a troubled individual lacking parental affection due to the loss of his brother, Chris: an
introspective, abused child labeled being a "bad boy" (Stand by Me), he is also Gordies best friend,

Prologue Purpose. The very word seems to carry with it the weight of progress, of advancement, of
humanity. It is the fire that has burned in man's heart since the dawn of civilization; a cunning
tactician smiling to himself as humanity wins its battles. Purpose has driven us from the first fire to
the final frontier; it is the father of civilization. Humanity advanced, quickly. With basic survival
and a functioning society fulfilled, civilization sped up. Distances became shorter, entertainment
became quicker, and life became busy. With life moving quickly, man lost time to think. And
without thought to fuel it, purpose became sparse and unfulfilled. Mankind, in their vanity, began to
attempt to eradicate the need for purpose. Society became shallow. It pressed upon its youth, its

My Last Day
One of those summer nights with your friends when you just want to go out and have the time of
your life , yea this was the night. I started off the day with excitement knowing it was the last day of
junior year of highschool and how great this summer was going to be but the mood was just off it
didnt seem like the last day of school.I got home from school and was just so relived i had no more
work to worry about and i can just enjoy my days relaxing and hanging out with my friends. For
weeks now my friends have been wanting to plan a trip or a one day trip or something exciting to
get us away from our boring lives. A couple of ideas were stirring around like going camping for a
night in a tent in the moutains in Pennsylavannia or traveling down to Boston for the weekend to go
