Questionnaire results and analysis<br />I gave the questionnaire to 10 people, they completed the questionnaire in their own time and brought it back to me and then I turned the results into graphs and pie charts and analysed them.<br />1593854654551.<br />We asked the same amount of males and females because we wanted the opinions of both genders as they could both be our potential audience.<br />2.<br />19050-2491<br />We carried random sampling within harrow Weald College so that each person had the same chance of being chosen and the results were not biased to specific groups for example, white people are believed to like rock music, black people like r ‘n’ b and hip hop music etc.  We carried out this method of sampling so we could get a wide range of people of all ages; we got mostly 12 to 18 year olds (4) and 18 to 25 olds (4). We got a small amount of people from the age of 25 to 30 years old (2) unfortunately we did not get anyone from the age of 30 onwards, this was due to chance.<br />3 .What are your preferred music genres?<br />19050267970<br />It can be seen that the people we asked in our questionnaire liked the music genre of rock compared to the other music genres however people like hip-hop, indie, pop, r ‘n’ b quite a lot as well. All the genres were more or less liked equally, however as rock was just about the most preferred music genre and the fact that we had a rock band ready to shoot for our music video, we deicide to make a rock music video.<br />4. What feeling do you look for in a music video?<br />This question was used so we could see what themes people liked in music videos and so that we could use it then in our own music video. As we can see the majority of people want music videos to be energetic therefore we will try making our music video as energetic and engaging as possible.<br />5. Where do you watch music videos?<br />,[object Object],We used this question to see theoretically if our music video was successful, then how we would look to promote it. Clearly because of the development of the internet, people watch music videos mostly on the internet than anywhere else such as the TV which can be seen in our bar graph. Therefore if we promote our music video we would put it on the internet on sites such as YouTube, my space, facebook ect. This would also be a cheaper option than putting it on TV.<br />6. Do you prefer music videos with special effects?<br />19050-1954<br />As many music videos use special effects we decided to see if people liked special effects and from the response we found 8/10 people do like them, probably because it makes it more engaging and exciting. Therefore in our music video we plan to use special effects however not too much as we would like the audience also the focus on the narrative of the music video rather than just the special effects.<br />7. Do you prefer the video to match with the lyrics, or totally random?<br />168275-228600<br />From this we can see that the audience would like the lyrics represented in the music video so they could associate the lyrics with the music video (Intertextuality). Therefore we will definitely carry this out in our own music video.<br />8. For a rock music video, what would you like it to include?<br />19050256540<br />This question is important because we want to know what we should base our music video on. All the people who participated in the questionnaire want a music video to include narrative and performance shots or all three which also includes concept based. As a result we will include all three and include narrative, performance and concept based shots to meet the audience desire.<br />
