2. Excretion is the collection & elimination of
metabolic waste across the cell membrane.
Certain products are toxic byproducts of
metabolic activities, so they are excreted out.
INTRODUCTION
The wastes are CO2, H2O, bile pigments,
nitrogenous wastes, excess of inorganic salts,
hormones, vitamins etc.
Nitrogenous wastes are the main products to
be eliminated formed due to catabolism of
glucose, amino acids, glycerol & fatty acids.
