2.  Getting feedback from an audience on my work is very
important, it has allowed me to recognize where I have
room for improvement and what has worked well for
me within my products. It has shown me what my
audience want/would expect from a school magazine.
When coming to creating my final product, I took into
consideration the type of features that my audience
liked to try adapt a similar convention in my final
product. My final product is a complete different genre
to my preliminary task, therefore, it is important that I
looked at audience feedback for existing magazines
similar to the one I was going to create. Learning
different conventions of a magazine and the design has
helped me appeal to a larger audience and branch out
globally in comparison to the 1000 pupils my school
magazine appealed to.

3.  For my preliminary task, I didn’t look into the school magazine
market to get ideas of what my magazine should look like and
what features and conventions it should show. Instead, I just tried
to create something that I think you could label as a school
magazine, I kept it simple without really doing much looking into
the genre of school magazines. Since doing this, I have learnt just
how important it is to research into my chosen market and getting
an idea of the conventions music magazines follow. I then done
further research into specifically rap/hip-hop music genre
magazines such as XXL. This was a real advantage to my final
product because I had a rough idea of what my magazine would
need to qualify in this genre. It gave me inspiration for my final
product as I got an glimpse of the things my target audience
would expect to see in a rap magazine, this is things like the layout
and the content. I wanted to appeal to a much larger audience than
my preliminary task, therefore I took a professional approach to
my final product to ensure that it was the best possible work that I
could create in order to attract a wider audience.
