Pros:
-High quality video captured
-Long battery life
-Switches off when not in use for a while
-Availability of ‘rule of thirds’ grid
-Easily controllable ISO setting therefore brightness
-Shutter speed can be altered
-ability to insert a memory card of any bite size so all footage
could be stored on one card without having to regularly
export it.
Cons:
-Not as compact as an iPhone; does not fit into your pocket
-Switches off when not in use for a while

Pros:
-Built in torch which can serve as back up lighting
-VERY compact, fits into pocket, perfect for travel
-Small size would give ease in guerrilla filming situations
-easily adjustable brightness with the touch of a finger
-built in photo editing software allowing video trimming as
well as colour balance etc.
Cons:
-Low megapixel camera; not optimum quality images
-Built in memory with no ability to add extra space; no
memory card slot = footage would need to be uploaded and
deleted off the iPhone to have space.

U E S D :
-During the production stage of the
video, the main piece of equipment
we had used was the DSLR camera,
both to capture the scenes of our
music video but also to take
photographs for our digipak.
-We had also used our iPhone
cameras for audience feedback etc.
It was perfect for this as the iPhone
is very portable and something that
we would generally always have with
us. Furthermore, I had used the
sound recorder built in app for
further audience feedback.

shares many of the same technical
settings, the crisper quality of the
DSLR was essential to us.
The fact that we could insert a
memory card was crucial to seeing
as a full day of filming would fill a
considerable amount of space and
we had nowhere to upload and
backup these files when out.
The ISO setting and adjustments on
the DSLR made the image much
