  2. 2. Objective<br />After following the step-by-step instructions in this presentation, the participants will be able to embed a YouTube video into a PowerPoint presentation.<br />
  3. 3. Embedding a YouTube video into PowerPoint<br />So you found a video on YouTube and want to include it in the presentation your group is going to present.<br />It CANbe done if you follow these steps.<br />
  4. 4. Choose YouTube movie you want<br />Before you begin—you need to choose the YouTube video you want to insert into the PowerPoint program.<br />When you find one you want, click on the URL and then right click and copy.<br />Now, you can start the PowerPoint process.<br />
  5. 5. Step One<br />Open the Developer Tab<br />Open a new PowerPoint<br />Enable the Developer TAB<br />
  6. 6. Step One (Continued)<br />In PowerPoint 2007<br />Click on the Office button <br />Select PowerPoint Options<br />In Popular check "Enable Developer Tab" <br />In earlier versions<br />Click on View<br />Select Toolbars<br />Select Control Toolbox<br />
  7. 7. Step Two<br />Check Security Settings<br />In PowerPoint 2007, check that macro security is set to disable with notification.<br />In earlier versions check that macro security is set to medium. <br />In PowerPoint 2007 save the file as a *.pptm or *.ppsm macro enabled file.<br />
  8. 8. Step Three<br />Add Shockwave Flash Object<br />Click on the more controls tool which looks like a hammer and spanner.<br />

  10. 10. Step Four<br />Expand the View Area<br />On your slide, drag to make the control fill the area you would like the YouTube Video to play in.<br />
  11. 11. Step Five<br />Add the Link(See the next slide for screen shots of this step)<br />Copy the URL of the Video you want to embed. <br />Now RIGHT click the control and select “Properties.” Choose “Movie” and paste in the URL from You Tube. <br />“Embed Video” should be un-clicked.<br />
