The Division of Virtual and Distance Education of El Bosque University is a systemic unit and
transversal strategic axis that provides inter- and transdisciplinary services to the different
institutional units, in response to the needs and challenges of academic transformation that
today's world demands, in aspects related with:
• the proposal of a new educational offer that generates useful knowledge at the regional,
country and world levels, narrowing the great social gap;
• the development of new highly competitive, durable and successful digital educational models;
• teacher training processes that allow the development and strengthening of digital and
pedagogical skills
• and the management of learning objects with the implementation of Emerging Technologies;
facilitating access to high-quality higher education for all of society;
It also characterizes a work focused on the fulfillment of the mission, vision, institutional
educational project and strategic orientation of the University, appropriating meaningful student-
centered learning, from the commitment to the Bio-Psycho-Social and cultural approach.
