4. The complete application form details of NDA exam 2020 is given below:
The Application form for NDA I will be revealed on 8th January 2020 and for NDA II on 10th June 2020.
NDA Application form will be filled in two parts – Part I and Part II.
• In Part I of the application form, candidates have to fill their basic and vital details in the form.
• In Part II of the application form, candidates are required to select their exam center, upload their signature
and photograph, pay the fee of application form and confirm the declaration.
After the submission of the application form, candidates must bring off the printout of the application form,
identical photograph as uploaded in the application and fee payment. No correction or modification in the
application form can be made after the final submission of the form therefore; Candidates
must fill the application form carefully.
Application Fee:
The application fee is 100 Rupees for all the candidates.
Candidates who are exempted to pay the application fe are
ST/SC/NCOs/Ors/Sons of JCOs
Mode of Payment: The application fee can be paid by the
applicants through debit or credit card/net banking method or SBI
Bank Challan method.
5. Nationality:
Candidates who are applying must be the citizen of India/ subject of Bhutan/subject of Nepal or
Refugee of Tibetan (came to India to settle permanently in India).
Candidate can also apply of Indian origin that has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and
East African countries of Uganda, Zaire, Zambia, Tanzania, Malawi, and Ethiopia or Vietnam to
settle in India.
Applying foreign nationals have to produce a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government
of India. Gorkhas (subjects of Nepal) need not required to produce this certificate.
Age, Gender and Marital Status:
Age: The candidate who applying must be between 16.5 – 19.5 years.
Gender: Males are only eligible to apply.
Marital Status: Candidate must be unmarried and cannot marry until completing their training.
6. Educational Qualification:
For Naval Wings (Cadet Entry Scheme) and Air Force: Candidates who are applying must have
passed their 10th and 12th from a recognized board or university with the key subjects of Physics,
Chemistry and Mathematics.
For Army Wing of National Defense Academy: Candidates must have passed their 10th and 12th
from a recognized board or university.
Appearing Candidates: Those candidates are also eligible to apply who are in their last year of the
qualifying year.
Physical Eligibility:
Applying candidates must be
physically fit as per the physical standards
set by the commission for admission into
National Defence Academy.
Candidate will not be considered eligible
to apply, who are withdrawing or
resigning from any of the training
academies of Armed Forces on
disciplinary grounds
7. Exam Pattern of 2020 NDA
Before preparing for the written test check the complete NDA 2020 examination pattern:
Date and Exam Mode: NDA I examination will be held on 19th April 2020 and NDA II on 6th
September 2020. The exam will be conducted in written (offline) mode with Pen and Paper.
Questions Types: The questions appeared in the exam paper will be MCQs (objective type).
Total Marks: The written test will be of a total of 900 marks which consist of Mathematics for
300 marks and General Ability test for 600 marks. 900 marks will be for SSB Interview.
Sections: There will be two sections in the written exam
1) Mathematics
2) General Ability Test.
Language: The question paper will be available in both English as well as Hindi language.
Duration of time: The time duration is 5 hours to complete the paper (2½ hours each).
Marking scheme: For every incorrect answer, 33% mark will be deducted as negative marking.

For testing the candidate understands of English and workmanlike use of words, the
question paper of English will be designed. Various aspects covered are Grammar,
usage, and cohesion in extended text, Comprehension, and Vocabulary to test the
candidate’s proficiency in English.
Mathematics:
Matrices and Determinants, Analytical Geometry of two and three
Dimensions, Algebra, Trigonometry, Statistics and Probability,
Vector Algebra, Integral calculus, and Differential Equations and
Differential Calculus.
General Knowledge:
The topics covered in the question paper of General Knowledge
from the subjects: Physics, Chemistry, General Science, Social
Studies, Current Events, and Geography. Candidate’s answers
will show their knowledge of the subject, intelligent and
understanding.

10. NDA 2020 Exam Day Guidelines
1) To the exam center, candidates must carry their
NDA admit card.
2) Candidates should also carry one photo along
with their admit card for identity proof to the exam
center.
3) Students should carry a black ball pen for
marking their answers to the exam center and a
clipboard.
4) A sheet will be provided by the invigilator for
doing rough work.
5) These are some of the things which are not
allowed in the examination like Notes, books, loose
sheets, Calculators (electronic or any other type),
mathematical and drawing instruments, stencils of
maps, log tables, slide rules, and test booklets.
6) Serious actions will be taken against the
candidates who misconduct during an exam.
7) Strict actions will be taken against the candidates
found cheating or copying.
