Ankit, a 52-year-old male, presented with severe abdominal pain radiating to his back along with steatorrhea, diarrhea and nausea. His history revealed he was an intensive smoker and alcoholic with no family history of disease or regular medical checkups. Initial tests showed elevated pancreatic enzymes and imaging confirmed a diagnosis of chronic calcific pancreatitis. He underwent a total pancreatectomy and was advised to stop smoking and drinking, take vitamins and enzymes, and reduce dietary fat to manage his condition.
