The main aim of the project is to separate good and bad cashew kernel. Initially cashew is on vibrator it will then drop into the conveyor belt, Camera will detect the cashew nut and checks the colour using image processing software. The dark coloured cashew which is defected cashew will be separated from good one.

3. INTRODUCTION
• This project presents a study of detection of non-expert
quality of cashew nuts, and sorting.
• The complete sorting system operates on image processing
using the MATLAB application & ARM microcontroller.
• After recognizing the colour of the cashew nuts, it is separated.
• Which reduces the manual effort.
