2. • Kyokushinkai (极 真 会馆) is a style of karate, founded in
1964 by Master Oyama Masutatsu Japanese-Korean
martial arts. This style has a philosophy based on
personal improvement through control of mind and body,
and aims effectiveness in real combat.
• In June 1964 Oyama creates its World Headquarters,
adopting the name Kyokushin, meaning "School of
ultimate truth" (Kyoku: last; Shin Truth), the style has
Angle locks and piercing blows of Shotokan karate, the
balance, body strength, and circular movements of Goju
Ryu karate. Later, the style was nurtured by low kicks, or
"low kicks" of Thai boxing or Muay Thai, and elements of
Judo, and Western Boxing
3. It is a martial art and the vast majority of them the main
mode is the infighting'' kumite'' but in this style there are
also kata competitions'''' a series of movements against
imaginary opponents.
4. • Ōyama Masutatsu (大山倍達) (1923 –1994) lived most of
his life in Japan and acquired nationality in 1964. Their
two children are currently living in South Korea. He also
was a student of Waseda University (Judo team)
reaching grade 4 give, and team member-Do Karate
(Shotokan style), where he earned 2nd Dan in Takushoku
University in Japan. Then after practicing Goju Ryu and
Daito Ryu Aikijujutsu (predecessor of Aikido) and
investigate other martial arts like muay thai, kung fu and
karate kyokushinkai originated the style.
