This presentation looks at GDP, but real terms and nominal terms. The presentations looks at the factors that drive GDP through personal, business and government consumption. GDP did grow over 2015, but much of that growth can be attributed to rise in commodity prices as well as as government spending. The fundamentals of the Canadian economy are still sluggish as growth for 2016 was 1.4 which is down from the 15 year average of 2.1%.
