Wage stagnation in Canada has led to the slowest wage growth in over 20 years according to Statistics Canada. While the unemployment rate has fallen, hourly wages grew only 0.7% in April 2017, with even lower growth for permanent employees. Additionally, Justin Trudeau has overseen the weakest wage increases since becoming Prime Minister, failing to deliver on promises to create good jobs and help the middle class as income inequality continues rising.

country was within the grips of the global financial crisis, but wage
growth stalled to its weakest in more than two decades.
Statistics Canada says hourly wages expanded by 0.7 per cent in April,

Justin Trudeau ran as the candidate that was all for the rights of the ‘middle class’, and
launched a fierce attack of the economic policies of the previous government. He had
promised to bring about real change, and had said that he would create good jobs for all
Canadians. He had made promises to bring about change, but it has all turned out to be
empty lies.
The truth of the matter is that the Trudeau administration has overseen that weakest wage
growth in the past 2 decades! According to Bloomberg the average hourly wage increased by
only 1.1% over the course of a year, which has been the lowest since 1998. It is also well below
the historical average wage rate of around 2.7% that was seen in the last 10 years.
The figures are worse for permanent employees, as they have seen the lowest wage
increase, since 1997, and the rate of increase in Ontario was about 0.1% a year, the lowest
that has ever been recorded! The middle class aren’t having the best of times, and it comes
as no surprise to anyone that the economy is struggling under the Trudeau administration.
