2. What is Character Education?
Character Education is an effort to create a different perspective. It is a whole-
school effort to create a sense of community where behaviors such as respect,
honesty, kindness, hard work and self-control are used for everyday tasks.

3. Importance of Character Education:
 Take a leadership role to bring the school community together to identify
and define the elements of character they want to emphasize for the
student
 Provide training for staff on how to integrate character education into the
life and culture of the school

4. Role in 21st Century Education:
 Create a stable relationship between parents, teachers, and community
leader so that students learn how to establish character traits that are
essential for success in their school and life
 Provide opportunities for school leaders, teachers, parents and people
within the community to help portray character traits and social behaviors
