2. What is Character Education?
Character Education is an effort to create a different perspective. It is a whole-
school effort to create a sense of community where behaviors such as respect,
honesty, kindness, hard work and self-control are used for everyday tasks.
3. Importance of Character Education:
Take a leadership role to bring the school community together to identify
and define the elements of character they want to emphasize for the
student
Provide training for staff on how to integrate character education into the
life and culture of the school
4. Role in 21st Century Education:
Create a stable relationship between parents, teachers, and community
leader so that students learn how to establish character traits that are
essential for success in their school and life
Provide opportunities for school leaders, teachers, parents and people
within the community to help portray character traits and social behaviors
