1. INDONESIAN CULLINARY
INTRODUCTION

2. Cocos nucifera coconut plantations (L) is a commodity of the
second social after the rice. This is due to several reasons namely 1)
most palm oil concessions are more than 98 percent is estates, 2)
coconut is one of the source of the raw material of cooking oil as
the main material. 3) coconut plantations spread in all districts in the
region of Indonesia, 4) palm has become one of the community
source of income since long time, 5) cultural coconut is also a
symbol of the branch of the young generation who became the
hope of the nation and spelt the harmony in the household.
INTRODUCTION
Palm oil producer countries home is located in Asia, Oceania, (Middle
and South America and Africa (West and East). Most of the oil
produced by countries in the Asia Pacific region from the region
produced 90 percent palm oil from the total production of the entire
world. Producer countries kopra world is Indonesia, the Philippines, India,
Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu
Solomon Islands West, Fiji and Micronesia. Data from the Asian and
Pacific Coconut Community (APCC, 2010) three largest kopra
producing countries in the world is Indonesia, the Philippines, India. The
three countries produce 85.7 percent of palm oil produced

3. THE MEANING OF PALM

4. Palm oil economic is a source of vegetable oil which play an important
role in the world. Kopra contains 65 % oil, is a plant that contains the
highest oil, while oil palm seeds contain 46 % and soy beans 16 % oil.
Total export kopra and palm oil world estimated ranged between 2.5 -
2.7 million tons of oil equivalent, number was expected 5-6 percent of
world oil exports. Indonesia exported palm oil by 649 255 MT, Philippines
of 847 626 MT, and India of 6 817 MT (APCC, 2010). The contribution of
the Indonesian palm oil exports to total exports by only 0.69 per cent
because of higher domestic consumption and generally plants are old
so that productivity is low.

countries, the position of Indonesia as the number one kopra
exporter get dragged away by the neighboring countries of
