We took pictures at our first location shoot, a classroom, which was chosen because it required certain actors and props. Extras were used in the music video for "You Belong With Me" to clearly show the artist and setting in an American sports game through costumes and body language. To appeal to a young, urban audience, the artist was dressed casually in white jeans to portray innocence but in a modern style.

2. Extras
One of the ways in which Taylor establishes her location is through the use of
extras. This is a still taken from the music video for ‘You Belong With Me’ , the
establishing shot used here enables us to clearly see the artist and her
surroundings. We know that she is in an American sports game due to her
supporting actors costume and body language as well as her own.

3. Costume
Like Taylor, we are aiming to attract a fairly young target audience. We have
dressed our artist in white to promote the ideas of innocence and purity.
Though as we are appealing to a more urban audience we decided that more
casual clothing would be appropriate, so we dressed our artist in jeans.
