In the 1570s, he had persuaded John Casimir to consider proposals for a united Protestant effort against the Roman Catholic Church and Spain. In the early 1580s, he argued unsuccessfully for an assault on Spain itself. Promoted General of Horse in 1583,[1] his enthusiasm for the Protestant struggle was given a free rein when he was appointed governor of Flushing in the Netherlands in 1585. In the Netherlands, he consistently urged boldness on his superior, his uncle the Earl of Leicester. He conducted a successful raid on Spanish forces near Axel in July, 1586.
An early biography of Sidney was written by his friend and schoolfellow, Fulke Greville. Abraham Cowley (pronounced Cooley) was born in London, the posthumous son of a wealthy London stationer. A wound is a break in the integrity of the skin or tissues, which may be associated with disruption of the structure and function.
Healing is the body’s response to injury in an attempt to restore normal structure and functions.
Healing can occur in two ways: Regeneration and Repair
There are 4 phases of wound healing: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. This document also describes the mechanism of wound healing. Factors that affect healing include infection, uncontrolled diabetes, poor nutrition, age, anemia, the presence of foreign bodies, etc.
Complications of wound healing like infection, hyperpigmentation of scar, contractures, and keloid formation.

Introduction – - Three historical events deeply influenced the literary movements of the time- 1) The Restoration of the year 1660 2) The Roman Catholic controversy that raged during the latter half of charles 2’s reign 3) The Revolution of the year 1688. The Restoration (1660) of Charles 2 brought about a revolution in our literature.
- 4. What is Restoration Comedy ? • Restoration comedy - a type of comedy play - written during and after the Restoration in Britain. • Restoration comedies are English plays written and performed between 1660 and 1710. • It also known as ‘Comedy of manners’ play. • It deals - the sexual adventures of the upper classes - show characters behaving in a foolish or wicked way -extramarital affairs.
- 5. Aphra Behn- - She was a traveler, a successful female playwright, novelist. - Considered as the first professional female writer, poet, who earned her living through writing. - One of her most successful commercial work is ‘Oroonoko’(1688). This work has themes like gender, race, slavery and colonialism. - First Woman who began to write in prose. (Born – 1640 Died - 1689 )
- 6. -Aphra Behn’s most successful, best known play. -Set at carnival time in Naples in 1656, the play presents it’s 1677 audience with the imagined exploits of a group of ‘Banished Cavaliers’ Libertinism and marriage- - The spanish sisters Florinda and Hellena – dominated – their brother Pedro. - Pedro – confident - he can force Florinda to marry his powerful friend Antonio – save the cost of a dowry for Hellena – sending her back to her nunnery. - Aphra Behn explores the roles available – Restoration woman and men – their idea that marriage was an outmoded institution. - Most powerful voice – Angellica – sees prostitution – better choice than marriage.
- 7. The play begins with this quate- What an impertinent thing is a young girl bred in a nun- nery! How full of questions! Prithee no more, Hellena; I have told thee more than thou understand'st already. - Florinda
- 8. Restoration masculinity - Most of the men, by contrast, are in constant conflict with one another. Their aggression is manifested both in verbal jousting. -Belville's affection for willmore reasserts itself as he worries tha Antonio, who willmore has drunkenly injured, might be willmore. -Although Bellville might think that his friendship with willmore means he should forgive him whatever he gets up to, this shows dominant conventions of Restoration masculinity.
- 9. Carnival, disguise and misrule- - Through the disguises – the spanish sisters – their cousin venture into the streets – florinda arrange an elepment – her beloved Belvile- Hellena, valleria – search for their love matches. They dressed as a gupsy. - At the same time – carnival enables the unfixing of these identities – during a short period of misrule, this scene produce a high energy – entertainment. - At the end willmore choose Hellena over Angellica.
- 10. Conclusion Comedy of manners or Restoration comedy have satirized the upper class society and Angelica Bianca belongs to the upper class where she sleeps with willmore, which according to the puritan’s will be immoral and the same action goes to willmore as well.
