2. The education system in India is growing at a rapid pace. We are being
introduced to new type of techniques and technologies every year
which is making learning easy and interactive. More and more students
are getting into schools every year further greatly contributing towards
many growth aspects in India like the literacy rate.
Though there is a positive outlook to the education system in India still
there are many places in our country which are inaccessible to a
number of developed techniques which is in return hindering the
growth rate. These developed techniques have now become challenges
which need to be addressed sooner .
4. Underqualified Teachers - One of the major challenges in
India's educational system today is the shortage of well qualified
teachers specially in the rural areas. The teachers are underqualified
and are unable to generate the passion for learning and they push the
students towards securing good grades rather than imparting quality
education.
Lack of Practical Knowledge – The Present education
system in India is primarily focussed on theoretical knowledge. Getting
theoretical knowledge doesn’t serve any purpose until students can
apply the knowledge for practical purposes. Practical knowledge helps
a student in relating the classroom theoretical knowledge with real life
examples which further helps in understanding the world around them.
5. Lack of Good Textbooks - There are lack of good
textbooks for teaching in our system. Either the content is too
vast or it is not wide enough in scope. The text itself can be too
easy or too hard. The books are not regularly updated which
unable the students to remain up to date.
Student-to-Teacher Ratio - One of the factors
that influence the quality of education is the student to
teacher ratio. Currently in India the average number of
students per teacher ratio being 100:1 is way to high
because of which teachers are unable to pay individual
attention to students.
7. EDUCATION SECTOR 10 YEARS FROM
NOW
Digitisation -In todays time
students carrying heavy school bags is one of
the major concerns for parents. With the
future introducing digitisation all over India
would not only eliminate this concern but
also would make the learning more easy.
Digitisation would allow the students to have
access to their work anytime anywhere with
just a click of their hands. This kind of
technology would also help in replacing the
ancient ‘chalk and talk’, eventually making
8. Sensors and Biometrics -
The technology based attendance
system such as sensors and
biometrics based attendance system
would be affective in the future .
This kind of technology would help
in saving time, reducing human
involvements and errors. It further
helps in keeping attendance records
and much more.
Augmented Reality classroom -
Augmented reality classroom lessons
would help students learn and experience
studying in a much more interactive way
which would further help them retaining
their learning for a much wider time. This
kind of technology would help students in
grasping difficult concepts easily.
9. Robotics - Robots can be used
to bring students into the classroom
that otherwise might not be able to
attend. With these
technologies children with autism are
learning communication and social
skills and students with developmental
issues and attention disorders are
learning focus. Individuals with severe
physical disabilities are also offered a
constant companion and health
monitoring system. Robots can be
programmed to suit each individual
child's need, offering special education
10. Artificial Intelligence - Artificial
intelligence can significantly impact
the future of our education. There
are various technology providers
that are introducing AI products to
enhance new-age learning . It’s now
possible for teachers to automate
grading for nearly all kinds of
multiple choice and fill-in-the-
blank testing and automated
grading of student writing may not
be far behind, allowing teachers to
focus more on in-class activities and
student interaction than grading.
11. The education system in India is reaching great heights still the
future we see 10 years from now should be achieved sooner than
later. The ideas should be formulated, experimented and
implemented.
Though design thinking and innovation might result into some
hindrances initially but with more and more experiments
eventually the integration of these techniques would result into
the holistic development of the nation’s education sector as a
whole .
