Most nouns forms their plural by
adding –s or –es.
Other nouns form their plural
irregularly.

adding –s.
Ex. Nation – nations
Blanket – blankets
Chair – chairs

2.For nouns that ends in s, ss,
ch, and x
Simply add –es.
Ex: gas – gasses
glass – glasses
box – boxes

preceded
by a consonant, change y to I
and add –es.
Ex: pony – ponies
