As a result of the CC Community (professional forum), participating COs will arrive in command at a higher level of effectiveness and their learning curve will shift left and up. Talk through how the site is organized – go through the left-side “taxonomy” Some people are interested in how you organize an online “Community of Practice” We asked ourselves the question, “What does a Company-Level Unit need to be able to do well in order to be effective?” What emerged were the main areas or big rocks of command: Leadership, Warfighting, Training, Fitness, Force Protection, Supply, Maintenance, and Taking Care of Soldiers & Family. The other areas: FRG, Pro Reading are different categories that apply outside the focused domain of CompanyCommand. The Rally Point area is “sub communities” within CC.com and the Cdrs’ Log is a way to leverage individual’s contributions.
