1. Evaluation 6: WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNT
ABOUT TECHNOLOGIES FROM THE
PROCESS OF CONSTRUCTING THIS
PRODUCT?
2. PHOTOSHOP:
Photoshop has been a very useful software for constructing my
product. I have learnt a great deal from it, Photoshop made my
magazine look very professional. It has tools which help me add an
effect on my images that I wish to use or it, it has other creative tools
for me to edit on the image as well which allows me to turn the image
into another colour or change the contrast and the lighting of the
image, this was helpful because I planned on making my images black
and white to give it a different look. I was able to sharpen my image
to make it come more into focus so that it didn’t look blurry. I was
able to enlarge the picture or make it small, it was hard at first but
once I got adjusted to it, it was quite easy. Furthermore, Photoshop
has allowed me to insert text boxes which was vital for my magazine
because I needed to add text to my front cover to make it look
professional. It also allowed me to change the size and the colour of
the font making it look different, this was a key aspect for me to
attract my audience to make it look interesting for them. In
addition, by using the ruler that was provided on the software helped
me to rule up on the page which then helped me to write my text in
line and not go over.
3. IN-DESIGN:
In-Design is another great software which allowed me to create my
contents page and double-page spread which was difficult to do. The
software had various of different tools which allowed me to write on
top of images using text boxes or insert more than one image and line
them up in the order I wanted, it also helped me make my text appear
on top of the image which is how I wanted it. Another great thing
about In-Design is that it had guidelines and rulers which was useful
because I needed to insert images and more texts and I could do this
by lining up different columns which made my work more neat and
organized, making it look professional.
4. BLOGGER:
Blogger is a website that allowed me to blog regularly about the work
that I was doing, it helped me present my work online and to be
updated every once in a while so everyone could see the progress I
was making. It also allowed me to see my peers work and how they
managed to do their work which helped me guide my work along too.
It was good for my peers and my teacher to give me feedback on how
I was doing on my work and what needed to be improved which was a
big part to help me in my evaluation, this also helped me make any
necessary improvements.
5. SLIDESHARE:
Slideshare was very helpful as I needed this site to upload my
PowerPoints for my work, this was useful because I had done a lot of
PowerPoints to present my ideas and work. This made my work look
more neat, tidy and presentable. It was easy for my audience to give
me feedback on which areas I needed improvements on and which
areas I was good at. It was exceptionally good for my proposal and
initial ideas.
6. PREZI:
Prezi is an online presentational website which allowed me to zoom
into my work and make it look more fun to look at, it had very creative
ideas for me to work upon while I presented my work. This is also a
fun way of presenting which makes your work look more presentable.
It was better than doing PowerPoints and slides as it looked creative
and a sight to look at.
