1. Personalising your up iGoogle Account
This information is relevant for both PC’s and Macs
The following steps will help you to personalise your iGoogle Account
The first page after you have created your account is the one below
Follow the instructions :
1. Select a Theme
2. Choose location
(Melbourne)
3. See Your Page
2. You can change your theme by clicking
Your page will look something like this You can change your Settings by clicking here.
Account Settings allows you to change things like your
password etc
This will show up only if you
have a G mail account
3. You can add all sorts of stuff to your iGoogle page.
For the purposes of the course you need to add
the Google Maps Search Gadget,
The Google Book Search Gadget
and
the Google Docs Gadget

4. This is the page you get to when you “ Add Stuff”
Use Search to find and add the Gadgets:
1: Google Map Search
2: Google Book
3: Search Google Docs
4: Google Reader
Add any other of the gadgets that takes your fancy
5. Google Reader will appear on your iGoogle Home Page, click the heading to go to your Google Reader Account

As you can see I am using Google Reader to keep track of what is
happening in all the course blogs
7. If you want to follow what is happening in your
favourite blog, then click Add a Subscription
and paste the URL into the box that appears
Your Subscription will appear in a list
If something is added to one of the blogs you sub-
scribe to, then it will appear here. If you want to go
Organise your Subscriptions into Lists and folders, or add Tags by clicking to the original blog, just click the heading of the
Manage Subscriptions article you are interested in
