2. Artistic Statement
0 In this narrative I am communicating that, in Laos, we
are surrounded by different textures, and patterns in
the flora everywhere, even in our own backyard.

3. I used leading lines to lead your eyes to the center of the leaf. Also I used the rule of
thirds to emphasize the center of the leaf.

4. In this picture I used balancing elements to bring out the leaves in
the front. Also I used leading lines (the branches) to lead your eye
to the leaves.

5. In this picture I used symmetry and patterns to make it
seem balanced. Also I used contrast in color to bring out the
bamboo.

6. In this photo, I used symmetry and patterns to created a sense of comfort. Also
the trees in the background act as leading lines to lead your eye to the top of
the flower.

7. In this picture I used background to emphasize the details of
the tree’s bark. Also I used symmetry and patterns to create a
balanced look.

8. Here I used background to emphasize the thorns
and the details of the bark. Also I used leading
lines to lead your eyes to the center tree.
