The photographer took a picture showing plants alone in Laos to convey different perspectives of the Lao lifestyle and living environment. The plants were photographed from a low viewpoint against a large natural background to symbolize how Lao people live in difficult, poor conditions yet find their environment peaceful. By placing the subject plants in hard spaces between rocks, the photographer aimed to depict how Lao people feel lonely while living in challenging surroundings, though the background suggests Laos itself is a quiet, cozy country.

1. Intention
• I’ve took a picture of showing plants that are alone and it is a
picture that view point changes with the audience’s aspects.
• The general view point was to look similar to Lao people’s life
style. Lao people are living in hard environment to live, but the
people from other country lives in good environment.

8. Conclusion
In the whole photographs, I have been using ‘Low View point’ and ‘Depth’ because the topic of this
unit is to show the feeling of Laos, but there were many different concepts about Laos, so I have used
‘Depth’, but I have used the little plants to center of these pictures to make the background more bigger.
Every people would have different thinking about Laos because they have their own view points with
looking at pictures and analyzing. My subjective thinking of this picture’s concept was that Laos is very
quiet, cozy and natural country that is good for living. But the plants shows that one of the Lao people
are living in hard and poor environments. It feels like Lao people are lonely. So I’ve took a picture that
plants are living in hard environment (between rocks) and made the background natural and quietly.
