The document discusses using composition techniques in photographs taken in Vientiane, Laos to depict culture and daily life. Composition elements like leading lines, cropping, viewpoint, color, lines and pattern were employed. Viewpoint was used for a photo of a naga to make it appear as if it was coming toward the viewer and to create an unbalanced feeling. Pattern composition highlighted the repetition of small temple houses in another photo.

7. How I Used Composition
The types of composition I used were:
-Leading Lines
-Colour
- Cropping

8. Compositional devices
The compositional devices I used in my photo narrative is viewpoint,
colour, lines ,pattern.
I chose these compositional devices because I thought that it would be
fun to use. I used the viewpoint composition for my naga photo because I
thought that if I used viewpoint it would make the naga look like it was
coming to you and it would make you feel kind of unbalanced.
I used pattern for my third photo. The third photo sort of has a pattern
with those little temple house.
