Compositional devices
My intention of this narrative is a tranquility (silence) of the Laos, which is my
message through the photographs (my narrative). Laos has been developed a lot
recently, for example the amount of cars ,buildings and restaurants increased. I
wanted to show the tranquility like cultures and Lao people in daily life to tell
about Laos from different perspective.
I have used background composition, leading lines, depth, pattern, and balancing
elements composition. To explain detailed, as example, for the first photo I have
used background composition, because the back ground is all in blue color and
the top of the statue stands out. I used those compositions because it all focuses
the main thing (tranquility) and tells my intension strong. Also I add some cultural
photos to tell the life in Laos to the people who doesn’t know anything about
Laos.
I took many photos including cars, because to show the development in Laos and
taking the cars stands out the main thing (tranquility). I put the cars as the
background and I focused on the tranquility.
