Duties and Responsibilities -
- Review and approve Method Statements, Job Safety Analysis (JSA) reports,
Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) and Request for Inspections (RFI) submitted by
subcontractor to ensure that an electrical standard, safety, specification and
vendor recommendation has been implemented on job site. In addition to this,
holds responsibility to supervise the Electrical works on assigned projects, assist
the Project Engineering team in distribution of manpower based on Construction
schedule and to carry out Site Inspections with Client for the job delivered by
Subcontractors.
- Accountable to provide corrective measure for the errors found in electrical
design and plans, to prepare as built drawing based on actual installation based
on site conditions and Coordination with the consultants for any discrepancies in
the Engineering Plans and Project Specifications.
Prepare and submit Project accomplishment and look ahead schedules to Client
and consultants; And also to carry out Material Take offs for procurement and
preparation of Monthly progress billing for final evaluation based on monthly
progress report and schedule.
- Involved in management meetings with other Contractors, Consultant and
Clients for project status, design issues and technical analysis to find out possible
ways to minimize the Site Interferences.
Furthermore,
- Review and prepared schedule area by area based on the priority to be turn over
to the pre mechanical commissioning.
- Review Bill of Quantity (BOQ), contract and documents to provide Corrective
Measures.
- Conduct on-site observations and spot checking of the works with respect to the
requirements of the contract.
- Daily monitoring or break account of work accomplished based on the Project
Schedule.
- Interpret drawings and details, computation, estimation, materials take-off.

 Inspecting and witnessing all major testing activities in substations of MCCs,
Batteries, Motors, Transformer and all other electrical equipments.
 Prepare documents for Inspection (Installation check list, Testing reports and
Method statements).
 Carrying various test, Inspections, Trials and Defect rectifications.
 Investigation of various systems / Equipment Assemblies, Insulation
Resistance Test (Megger) MV/LV cable and Hi-Pot Tests of Power cables.
 Conduct inspection for the installation of electrical activities in conformance
with the approved construction drawings, with the client and contractor
representative.
 Witness all major testing activities such as Electrical Substations and Main
Electrical Motors, 11 KV, 3.3 kV, MV/LV cable test, Meggering and Hi-pot test.
 Responsible for inspections of manufactured and sub-contractor
product wi th coordination with the client and to prepare final Inspection test
report.
 Inspecting cable pulling for and terminations for power supply in Panel boards,
Junction boxes and Transformer rectifiers.
 Conducting inspection of incoming materials and equipment’s of electrical with
the client or consultant.
 Monitor site activities of electrical installation, testing and commissioning,
 Review documents of Material approvals, Test reports, Mill certificates,
Inspection release certificate and Shipping notifications.
