8. ๏ง The first internet started in September 1969 to link Scientific & Academic
Researches across the USA.
๏ง It stands for Advanced Research Projects Agency Network.
๏ง It is developed by U.S. Department of Defense.
๏ง In 1981, there were 213 hosts on it.
9. ๏ง In 1986, its huge network is connected with ARPANET to promote advanced
research & education in USA.
๏ง It stands for National Science Foundation NETwork.
๏ง They terminated its network in 1995 from the internet and resumed their status
as Research Network.
๏ง This configuration of complex networks and hosts is known as INTERNET.

A unique number which identifies each computer
or device that is connected to INTERNET.
DOMAIN NAME:
A text version of an IP Address.

A last section of domain name which identifies
the type of organization associated with the
domain.

Address.
๏ฑ Internet Service Provider (ISP) has DNS Server.

It is used to connect to a remote computers

It is used to transfer files via internet i.e.

It is a worldwide collection

Web Site:
A collection of related web pages.

๏ These rules are sent from Web Browser and understand

HTTP Error Codes
A special number sent by Web Server to Web Browser when something goes wrong.
