4. What is brain storming
Brainstorming is a process for generating
new ideas Brainstorming is "a conference
technique by which a group attempts to find a
solution for a specific problem by amassing
all the ideas spontaneously by its members" -
Alex Osborn
To brainstorm is to use a set of specific rules
and techniques which encourage and spark
off new ideas which would never have
happened under normal circumstances
7. Traditional Brainstorming
The normal view of brainstorming is where a group of
people sit in a room and shout out ideas as they occur to
them. They are told to lose their inhibitions and that no
ideas will be judged so that people are free to shout out any
ideas at all without feeling uncomfortable. People should
build on the ideas called out by other participants.
The purpose of this is to gain as many ideas as possible for
later analysis. Out of the many ideas suggested there will
be some of great value. Because of the free-thinking
environment, the session will help promote radical new
ideas which break free from normal ways of thinking
8. Advanced Brainstorming
The model we propose is an extension of the traditional
brainstorming scenario and makes the whole process easier
and more effective. Advanced brainstorming builds on the
current methods of brainstorming to produce more
original ideas in a more efficient way.
Specialized techniques, better processes and better
awareness, combined with new technologies, make
traditional brainstorming a less frustrating process. Most
of the problems associated with traditional brainstorming
disappear as a more effective process is used.

Try to achieve large quantities of ideas.
Team members should be encouraged to develop wild
“ Mad” and ideas.
All silly ideas should be accepted
13. Steps of Running Brainstorming

Sate the problem.
Gather people.

14. What is creativity?
Creativity is the bringing into being of something
which did not exist before, either as a product, a
process or a thought.
What is creative thinking?
Creative thinking is the process which we use when we
come up with a new idea. And for new ideas
brainstorming is very important. In this process our
mind leads us towards the storm of thinking.
15. How do Creative Thinking
techniques work?
Creative thinking techniques work to stimulate
original ideas. New ideas happen when two or more
ideas are accidentally or deliberately merged when
they have never been merged before.
Creative thinking techniques provide the method for
deliberately combining ideas in ways which you would
not normally come across or think about

17. conclusion
Brainstorming is a spontaneous group discussion to
produce ideas and ways of solving problems. To conclude
we can say that brainstorming helps a lot to create and
evaluate anything that floats in our mind and it is a group
creativity process by which efforts are made to find a
conclusion for a specific problem by gathering a list of
ideas contributed by its members. The term was coined by
Alex Faickney Osborn in a book 1953 book Applied
Imagination. It is particular useful when you develop new
ways of looking at things. This increase the richness of ideas
explored. During the brainstorming there is no criticism of
ideas and it needs formal rules for it to work smoothly
