M STRATEGIES INC. CELEBRATES ITS EIGHTH YEAR ANNIVERSARY
- Dallas agency identified as industry innovator; continues thought leadership efforts -
DALLAS (April 29, 2010) – m strategies inc. (MSI), a full-service public relations agency
specializing in traditional and emerging media strategy, media training and messaging, is
celebrating its 8th year of business in Dallas. Founded by president and CEO L. Michelle
Smith in 2002, MSI has garnered continuous recognition by peers and media alike as
one of the nation’s leading public relations agencies. In recent years, the agency has
specifically positioned itself as a thought leader in not only traditional media, but social
and emerging media strategy as well.
The agency opened its doors with work from recognized brands, global, national and
regional including Oil and gas drilling contractor GlobalSantaFe (Houston) Corp. (now
Transocean), Taco Bueno Restaurants (Dallas) and Sister 2 Sister Magazine
(Washington, D.C.) , and throughout its decorated eight year history, the agency has
continued to make progressive strides in the PR and media relations space. Most
recently, MSI has launched more than half-dozen successful online editorial outreach
(OEO) and social media campaigns, introducing many well-known brands into the
Interweb via various social networking platforms including Twitter, Facebook and
company blogs. Additionally, Smith recently led a social media workshop for the faculty
and staff of the Schieffer School of Journalism at Texas Christian University (TCU), with
the content eventually slated to be added to the school’s curriculum.
"At the time of its inception, we had a specific vision for the agency: to offer big agency
thinking while offering boutique-style attention to detail and client service. The creation of
MSI was carefully planned, and I am more than pleased that we’ve adhered to said
vision and remained diligent to our core values," said Smith.
With several team members possessing top-five global PR agency experience,
maintaining agency of record relationships with national and global brands has been the
norm for the agency.
Smith continued, "Through top-tier industry knowledge partnered with a heightened
fervor for client service, the agency has been able to endure many adverse social and
economic events during the last eight years, still providing our clients with the necessary
tools for successful, strategic PR initiatives. The future is extremely bright for us, and
we’re looking forward to the next eight years of PR success.”
Over the years, the agency has received industry acclaim for a number of client
milestones including the Random Acts of Goodness campaign for long-time client
Church’s Chicken, the Just For Me™ Texture Softener™ hair care product launch and a
recent and noteworthy public relations campaign for hair care brand Creme of Nature
hair care products. The agency has also done great work for Save-A-Lot Food Stores,
Souper Salad and Grandy’s, PMD Furniture Direct, Inc. and more.
Since 2003, MSI’s annual pro-bono program, wherein the agency provides a Dallas area
non-profit with a year of PR strategic counsel, has gained considerable acknowledgment
from both local and national media outlets. MSI often works in tandem with global
agencies on accounts as a trusted agency partner with practice areas which span
corporate communications, B2B, retail, consumer, education and non-profit.
Headquartered in Dallas, MSI has a satellite office in Atlanta, Georgia and consultants
throughout the United States.
