Dear Admissions Committee:
Molly Graebner is an exceptional person. As a co-leader of her Girl Scout Troop for the
past four years, I have had the good fortune of watching her mature from a rather shy
child to become a bright, competent, trustworthy and confident leader. She is respectful
and compassionate toward others and has served as a mentor to many younger girl scouts.
During her junior high and high school years, she has contributed hundreds of hours in
service to her community, planning and hosting a dance for disabled youth, hosting ice
cream socials for elderly residents of an assisted living complex, packing meals for
starving children, planning and hosting activities for a girl scout camp, and most recently
building park and playground structures for students with special needs at the Hudson
Elementary School in Hudson, Wisconsin.
Molly was elected by her peers and coaches to serve as a Captain of the girls Varsity
tennis team her senior year in high school. My daughter plays on this team and can attest
to the fact that Molly has demonstrated her commitment to this role by organizing and
leading practice sessions, and consistently role-modeling and inspiring team support and
unity. She supports the strengths of more skillful players and encourages novice players,
while conveying the value of each member's contribution to the goals of the team.
Molly is excited about her future and has prepared for college by taking rigorous courses
in high school. including AP Calculus, AP English and 4 years of Spanish.
As she graduates from high school, completes her 12 years as a Girl Scout, and prepares
to enter college, I am confident that she will bring her many positive qualities, her
empathic, kindhearted and energetic character and her maturing leadership to all
opportunities that lie ahead. Molly is interested in pursuing Marketing and Fashion
Merchandising, though I am optimistic that, whatever profession she chooses, she is
destined to make great contributions. Molly is a wonderful example of the best we can
hope to find in our youth and it is my pleasure to recommend her for admission to
yourschool.
Sincerely,
Robin Beckman
