WINGS OF FAITH FOUNDATION IS A NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION
WHICH HELPS LOCAL HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS FROM UNDER RESOURCED
COMMUNITIES, PURSUE THEIR DREAMS OF A HIGHER EDUCATION.
THE VISION OF THE FOUNDATION IS TO TEACH A CHILD TO DREAM
AND EXPERIENCE ALL THAT GOD WANTS HER TO BECOME.
Where Futures
Take Flight
Three years ago, Tara Furlough, local business owner, community leader, and entrepreneur, had a dream to
start a business that would employ teenage girls from under-resourced communities, giving them the
opportunity to change their lives forever.
Now open, She’s All That Boutique, located in Owens Cross Roads AL, offers unique fashion, jewelry and
accessories for women and teen girls. After cost, proceeds from the store are directly donated to the Wings of
Faith Foundation.
“The Foundation’s central purpose is to enhance educational opportunities for students through partnerships
with educators and through our mentorship program. This experience will help each student develop a
purpose in life and create avenues for advancing in higher education.”
Students are employed at the boutique during their 4 years at a local high school. During their tenure, the
students are taught work ethic, how to run a business, and more importantly, how to pay it forward by giving
back.
“What if you gave of yourself without expecting anything in return? I love the story of The Butterfly Effect.
How your influence is rippled through another, and that person may influence 10, and those 10 may influence
100 and so on. When Jesus walked the earth, He caused more controversy with a spiritual path than an earthly
one. He is our greatest example of giving everything, realizing only a few would truly embrace the freedom
found in Him. Not all will benefit from your kindness or gifts, but the ones that do, will cause a tidal wave of
hope… all for His glory.”
She’s All That Boutique, partnered with the Wings of Faith Foundation, is a dream come true for Tara Furlough
and is changing the lives of local teen girls, one purchase at a time.

We had three girls that went through
our program and worked with us during
our first year. They helped us build the
business from the ground up and were
a huge part of our early success. They
graduated from New Hope High School
in 2014 and each received college
funding through our foundation in
addition to the grants they qualified for.
Each is the first in their families to
attend college and each has a current
GPA of 3.5 and higher!

what God has ordained.”

Our 2014 Graduates
It takes more than a dream and money to be
successful in college. The solution for providing
these girls with not only the funds, but also with
the life skills, is through our mentorship
program.
Each student is paired with a mentor and given
the opportunity for continued one on one
interaction and support. The mentor plays an
important role in their life by building trust, and
modeling positive behaviors and actions. The
mentor understands that they are helping each
mentee build a strong foundation in Christ and
working to help them recognize the talents God
has created within her.
The program exposes each student to the unique
opportunities that will help her succeed and
become all that God wants her to be.
“You were born with the
ability to change someone’s
life. Don’t ever waste it.”
In June 2014, we took the
girls on a mission trip to Baja
Mexico. An important part of
the foundation is to give the
girls the opportunity to be a
part of mission work, and
what it means to volunteer
and give back.
Jesus walked the earth as a
humble servant and as
Christians, it is our great
commission to love Jesus,
love like Jesus, and to go out
in to the world and spread
the gospel.
They were exposed to a third
world community in
desperate need of physical,
medical, emotional and
spiritual support.
The girls left ready to GIVE that support and were
ready to MAKE an impact. They couldn’t have
imagined the IMPACT that experience would have on
THEM.
“For it is in giving that we
receive.”
-St. Francis of Assisi
“I alone cannot change the
world, but I can cast a
stone across the waters to
create many ripples.” –
Mother Teresa
BAJA, 2014 “Not all of us can do great things. But we can all do small things
with great love.”
-Mother Teresa
