To Whom it May Concern,
This letter is to highly recommend Cassandra Beth Scollick as a candidate to become a member of your
team. May this letter describe Cassandra's worth as a human being and future nurse give her an
opportunity to help those less fortunate and serve as a nurse in your hospital.
Cassandra has been, along with her twin sister Madison, in our family since their birth, and her mother,
Heidi Resnik, since 1985. I have been caretaker and nanny for Cassandra and her sister in many of their
elementary years of school. My husband and I have always cared and loved them as our nieces these 21
years. We have attended the same church, Crossroads Community Church, in Camarillo, Ca. for 15 years.
Cassandra has always been her own person: curious, strong, smart and adventurous. As an identical twin
finding her own identity, Cassandra consistently showed us compassion, care for others and a true
concern for those less fortunate. The missions’ trips to Mexico with our church deeply affected her as she
understood, lived and helped alleviate poverty, homelessness and hunger. Now, as an adult and
California Baptist University college graduate with her BSN, we proudly see her honing and keeping
these attributes intact. She cares deeply for her sister and mother, taking care, supporting and aiding
during trials and joys. She has learned, been tested and overcome any doubt that Jesus Christ is her
personal Lord and Savior and she openly discusses her reliance on Him for everyday guidance and seeks
His wisdom in her decisions. Her decision to go into Nursing as her profession is also her calling in life,
her obedience to God and the life He has called her to do. She is a humble, generous lover of life,
adventurous and full of a hope for the future that only the Lord can promise.
Cassandra has always been an intuitive helper. As my children are seven and nine years younger than
Cassandra and her twin, “Cassie-Bear” has been like a ”big sister.” Cassandra initiates the leadership
position and does so with patience, calm, authority and grace. On our annual High Sierra vacations, she
nurtures, leads, guides the younger kids, ages 8-18; always with kindness and gentleness. She has
volunteered with my daughter’s soccer team helping with practices, cheering, coaching, pushing and
building the self-confidence of many young teens. Her soccer critique is accurate, fair and safe for the
girls to accept and always encouraging. When Cassandra is in a social setting she is candid, comfortable,
curious and gregarious. Her job history (working since she was 14) exemplifies her work ethic,
dedication, honesty and responsibility for self.
Cassandra travels include two missions trips with her mother and sister to Mexico with our church, her
middle school trip to D.C, many trips to different parts of California, the East Coast, NYC, and then her
big solo adventure; Italy for a study-abroad program in 2011. The momentum and scope of her travels
have increased and because of her love of travel, Cassandra can look forward to serving others, spreading
the Word of God through her actions and easing suffering and lack through her nursing and true calling of
helping those less fortunate.
I strongly recommend Cassandra for the position in your hospital, and I hope you have the opportunity to
meet Cassandra and get to know her; she is an exceptional human being, lover of our Lord Jesus,
daughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Dearden
