To Whom It May Concern:
I have had the pleasure of knowing Mrs. Marie Nabors for the past four years as she has been
teaching at Christ Classical Academy, where I currently have three children enrolled. I found her
to be an energetic, selfless, warm, and genuine person. My twin boys have been abundantly
blessed with having Mrs. Nabors as their teacher.
During the 2013-2014 school year, she was the kindergarten teacher for one of our sons, Eli. Her
creative, gentle instruction and correction fostered his development and gave him a new love of
learning. It was a challenging year; Eli was diagnosed with ADHD and a language processing
disorder. He struggled to learn things that came much easier to others, but Mrs. Nabors
encouraged Eli, pushing him forward while building up his spirit. At the end of the school year,
she took a significant amount of personal time and prepared a summer review packet,
specifically for his individual needs. Over the break, she called and emailed me just to check in
on his progress and offered additional help.
This past year, Mrs. Nabors moved into a first grade teaching position, and both of my twins
were placed into her class. My sons have very different learning styles, and she used a variety of
methods in order to adapt to their various needs. On many occasions, she gave her personal time
after school to review reading, writing, and spelling with my boys. I can speak on behalf all our
class parents that she meets children where they are and teaches to their style. She takes time to
learn about each child and values all of their individual talents. She also communicates with
parents frequently by scheduling periodic conferences, and she called or emailed often to share
victories and concerns she had about her students. Mrs. Nabors is a committed partner who
works alongside parents in the education of their children.
Mrs. Nabors has been a priceless gift to my family and especially my children. She seeks to
honor Christ in all of her interactions, whether they are with students, parents, school visitors,
faculty, or our administrators. For all of the reasons above and many more, it is my honor to
recommend her to any position that you have available. She would assuredly be an asset to your
school or organization. If I can be of any further assistance, please feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
Delora Hughes
