CUW Information Technology recommends the following minimum configuration.

recommend an N adapter. G will be much slower

plan recommended complete care warranty. The basic service plan could leave
the student without a laptop for several weeks.
Software For any laptop: Microsoft Office 2007 (or 2010) Professional, Virus Protection. Resident hall students
can get Symantec AV. Internet service providers often provide free virus protection download.
Acrobat Professional is optional, but recommend.
*Minimum requirements are listed for PC laptops. If you own a Mac laptop that meets or exceeds the PC minimum requirements, this should work
as well. We do recommend PC laptops for new laptop purchases. Keep in mind Mac files don’t always translate seamlessly to PC format even
within the same software (i.e., Microsoft Office).
Students can purchase a discounted Dell Laptop, Microsoft products, Adobe products, and other technology through the
University by going to the portal at my.cuw.edu on the ‘Student Services’ tab.
