2. ALGINPLUG This invention is a growing substrate pot/plug (ALGINPLUG) what held together by an Alginate skin. The porous skin can easily be penetrated by roots and dissolves and disintegrate with water/sodium contact. The pot can be successful in propagation through seed, cuttings and tissue culture and is applied in the cultivation of cut flowers, potted plants, bedding plants and tree nursery stock. The ALGINPLUG is fully biodegradable and have no harmful effect on the environment. Production of the ALGINPLUG is done by fully automated production lines. Because of the outstanding quality of the ALGINPLUG growers get a better success rate on cuttings and seedlings. Plants in the ALGINPLUG are homogenous and grow fast and evenly.Technically it is possible the ALGINPLUG with a cutting hole or a seeding bed.The ALGINPLUG retains its very shape well because of the strong alginate skin and allowing various efficient forms of automation processes, like sorting, transplanting and potting.Depending on the crop it is possible to choose the best growing substrate.Aspects like type of peat, fractions, and the quantity of perlite, vermiculite, clay, coco-peat and fertilizer.The ALGINPLUG can be packed in trays or loose in boxes (bulk) for long distance destinations.
