1. Assessment reports and instruments
The test is one of the most common ways in the school for measurement and has
information about the student’s levels. One of the challenging assessment I have done with my
student is that the test which includes writing section and vocabulary and grammar section. There
is a huge gap in the student's store of vocabulary since the marks are very low in one section. In
this test, the vocabulary section has word that student studied in the unit of my more free time,
great invention and inventors and great cities Automatic, model and thread. Whereas the grammar
section includes some rules which are if close, because, contrasting words, passive voice and used.
The marks differed between the students there are some of them who got 1 and 2 out of 5 and there
are some students who got 4 and 5 out of 5. In the writing section, the writing was about spending
free time at home. They were given a statement “ spending free time at home is boring” Do they
agree or disagree with this statement. As a result, of being the students familiar with that type of
writing most of the students got high marks. Also, we did some revision before the test and I gave
them a homework related to that section. I noticed that the students find the writing easier for them
than the first section which is the vocabulary and grammar section. The third section was writing
a story. Also, here the students performed well because of they practiced before writing a story
previously. Moreover, the students commented that they didn’t remember the vocabulary during
the test time and they keep complaining about the test. As a result, I realize that they were cheating
from each other because when I corrected the papers I found that the answers of the students who
sat next to each other are similar even they were wrong.
