2. What is a Wiki? A wiki is a website that allows the creation and editing of any number of interlinkedweb pages via a web browser using a simplified markup language or a WYSIWYG text editor.Wikis are typically powered by wiki software and are often used to create collaborative works. Examples include community websites, corporate intranets, knowledge management systems, and note services. The software can also be used for personal note taking. Wikis serve different purposes. Some permit control over different functions (levels of access). For example editing rights may permit changing, adding or removing material. Others may permit access without enforcing access control. Other rules can be imposed for organizing content. (as defined by Wikipedia)
3. Why use a Wiki? Students can… Create pages to share their content knowledge Edit and modify others work Comment on others work Use new Web 2.0 Today’s students enjoy being able to create and publish online.

6. Personal Reflection After completing two wiki projects with students, I am finding more and more uses for them in the classroom. I love the community feel among my students. They want to help each other. Students also love being able to use the technology in class and at home. I enjoy being able to closer monitor their project during a project. I can leave comments and students can improve or make corrections before I grade their work. Wikis have changed my classroom!
