August 14, 1983 with the name Milena Markovna Kunis. At the age of seven, her and her family

Gender Discrimination
Working with Gender Discrimination What is the point of minority groups? Do people really need to
step over other smaller groups to bring themselves up? The white superiors are suppressing the
minority, the straights are suppressing the LGBTQ(+), and men are suppressing women. The world
needs diversity, but it also needs equality. It is 2017, people from the 1800 would probably figure
that the future would be a better place for everyone; well it is definitely better than the 1800 but, the
future is not the best that it can be. It was not more than one hundred years ago that African
Americans got their right to vote; not more than twenty years ago for women got their right to vote,
and just a year ago The United States finally legalized gay marriage for all 50 states. Society is
slowly progressing, but again it is not good enough. So, if the world wants to advance they can start
by improving the equality for women and men in the workforce. Overall gender equality has been a
struggle all the time in history, and everywhere. In the prehistoric eras of the cavemen and women,
both genders worked together to survive. Men would go out to hunt and kill animals, and the women
would gather and stay home to care for the children. Yes, most people now will say "that is straight
up the definition of sexism, men do the heavy work and women does the cooking at home."
However at that time, it wasn't like the cave people were thinking about sexism; the only thing that
they were thinking

Analysis Of The Catalan Architect, Antoni Gaudi
"Originality is returning to the origin," is one of the most famous and often–repeated phrase of the
Catalan architect, Antoni Gaudi. Gaudi was a devout religious man who believed that nature was the
origin and he started encouraging his belief of returning to the primitive basics. He had a great
regard for nature as a creation of God and most of his works were informed by an obsessive
religious spiritualism, a strong relationship with nature and heavy interest in ecology with an acutely
personal impression of design. Hif religious belief and architecture became increasingly intertwined,
while he studied organic and anarchic forms of geometry that were derived from nature, seeking a
way to give definition to these forms in his architectural designs. His interest and study of nature
informed fantastic organic arrangement of forms in one of his famous residential buildings, Casa
Mila, and its details. As in all Gaudi's later works, his models and studies made on the site, rather
than drawings, had been the key designing method for Casa Mila. He understood the abundant idea
of the natural world and expressed it with curved forms, never in straight lines. He also noticed that
natural construction tended to require ponderous materials such as stone and wrought–iron,
mimicking the appearances of muscle, ribs and bone of living organisms. With all these organic
models supporting his premises, Gaudi based the design of Casa Mila on a simple religious
perception; Considering that

Mr. Noodle: A Narrative Fiction
The three girls stared at each other in shock for a quick few seconds before Camila stood up and
began to leave. She didn't know where she was going but she had to get out of the room. The walls
were closing in and everything began to spin. She made an attempt to make it to the front door, but
inevitably dropped to her knees. She tried to cover her mouth with her hand but it did no good as the
vomit came shooting up her throat. Dinah rushed to her side grabbing her hair as Normani ran to
retrieve a wastebasket. The two girls rubbed her back soothingly in rhythm as they tried to mask
their own tears. Camila ceased her retching and slumped back against the sofa. Her stomach

Introduction: Circuses are a magical place where families take their children to watch the
performances, right? Wrong. Elephants held in circuses against their will, are beaten, starved and
forced to stand on their head for the enjoyment of children. Does that still sound magical? The same
things happen in zoos
Big Picture: Circuses have been around since the 1700's and were called Circles, later becoming the
ring, which is the center of the circle where the animals are performing against their will. In the
beginning a circus was just a man and a horse performing in a ring. Over the years it has grown into
a huge production and lasts several hours. Zoos have also been around for a long time. Animals held
in fake wilderness while people watch them from behind metal bars. Elephants in my opinion are in
the most serious trouble. These 6000 to 15,000 pound creatures who are forced to stand on their
heads or stand in a little "sanctuary" only allowed to walk 1.5 to 2 miles a day. When in the wild
they walk 40 miles plus in one day. Since they weigh so much they should not be standing on hard
dry surfaces that prevents normal exercise and forces them to stand on hard, dry, compacted
surfaces, causing arthritis and foot disease. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Strawberriess: A Narrative Fiction
Oh no! Mom told me to go to bed 10 minutes ago! I better hit the hay! Mila thought. She rapidly
slammed her Junie B. Jones book and bundled up in her wooly blankets. But then she remembered
something! She had soccer practice tomorrow morning! Mila shut her eyes, excited for the day
ahead. When Mila awoke in the morning, she excitedly got dressed, brushed her hair, and ran
downstairs to eat a delicious breakfast, when all of the sudden, her phone started to dance in her
pocket. Buzzz Buzzzz. She knew immediately that it was her friend Maddie calling!
"Hey Mila! I just got word from my mom that all of the strawberries in town are disappearing!"
Maddie exclaimed nervously.

"Anyways, as I was saying, no one is buying avocados anymore, so I put all of the strawberries in
town inside of this magical, never ending pouch," King avocado explained, "And I was just about to
lock this sack up in my safe before you little girls rudely barged in."
The infuriated avocado forcefully spun the shining silver lock on the safe, in a very intricate pattern
and the door violently swung open. He then waltzed into the safe and carefully placed the pouch
down. After he had finished, he then slammed the safe door closed. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I

wondered Maddie outloud. "I don't know..." Mila pondered.
But then, the idea hit her! "Maddie, hand me that soccer ball!" Mila said, giddy. Maddie went over

I Must Say What A Weekend I Had With The Girl’S Night Out.
I must say what a weekend I had With the girl's night out. We all decided to hit the cinema and
watch the new romantic comedy starring Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis. By the end of the night
we were all comparing it to another romantic comedy called "No Strings Attached" starring Ashton
Kutcher and Natalie Portman that we had seen on our previous girl's night out. We all discussed the
pros and cons of having a boy toy as opposed to being in a loving committed relationship. What a
night of debating that was. Imagine no husband, no fiancé, no boyfriend for many girls who have
their "friend with benefits". How many times have we talked about this? Especially in nights of
melancholy, at least that was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Someone gets hurt, end the "broken heart", are you ready for that? He can fall in love. Maybe your
special friend ends up falling in love ... with another woman or with you, and vice versa, and that 's
what really happens in these two stories. Although these are fictional romantic comedies these
situations happen all the time and temptation is always doing pushups. I know from our previous
conversations that you love these types of movies and I enjoyed them both equally. Because of this I
cannot recommend over the other so I recommend you watch both. Some people believe the titles
insinuate a similar plot and don't choose to see both, but after seeing them myself, I can tell you that
they are not as similar as one might think. Well, first they have two different lead actors and
actresses as I stated previously. In "Friends with Benefits", Mila is a headhunter who meets a
prospect that she must pick up at the airport. She must convince him to take this job in New York
and she has till midnight to do so or the job offer expires. He accepts the offer and they become
friends because they are both emotionally unavailable due to his ambition and fear of getting hurt
again and her lack of commitment from her mother and her own desire to live her life as a romantic
comedy itself. In "No Strings Attached", the two meet several times. The first time they met at

him to lose everything he once had. Natalio leaves Juana and his three kids to make money in El
Otro Lado to build his dream house in Mexico. Since he couldn't make enough money on his own,
he takes the mother of his three kids as well. This decision creates a distance between all of them,
because no matter how close by they are in Los Angeles after they migrated to the United States the
harmony amongst his family is never established. Mago, Carlos, and Reyna get humiliated as they
are left with their wicked grandmother Evila. They are looked down on as orphans. Their economic

Comparing Linda Mccarter Bridge And The Playful Dolphins...
Dolphins. You know those fun–loving swimming mammals, that are either cute and cuddly or evil
and deadly, no in–between. In this essay, my topic will be about dolphins. One non–fiction book and
one fiction. The book titles that I have read are "The Playful Dolphins" by Linda Mccarter
Bridge(non–fiction) the other book I've read was "The Music of Dolphins" by Karen Hesse(fiction).
Before we discuss about the similarities and the differences of the books, let's have a run–down of
the books. "The Playful Dolphins" by Linda Mccarter Bridge, is my non–fiction book about show
dolphins and how energetic, and logical dolphins are. In my fiction book named "The Music of
Dolphins" by Karen Hesse, is a story on how a girl named Mila who as rescued and put in a sort of

babyhood. Now that I have given a quick summarization, let us continue comparing and contrasting

the books seem to say is that when you get to know a dolphin they will start treating you as family

A chorus of screams goes up into the air as people race to find the nearest shelter. The sirens are just
as loud as their yells and beating hearts. A girl ran along–side them, the scent of ashes and sweat
clinging to her. A faded locket pounds against her chest as she turns the corner into an alleyway.
The girl dives behind the metal trash bin, hoping it would cover her. Scarred and blistered fingers

8 The Girls Who Snubbed Taylor Swift Later Became Her Fans
Taylor Swift didn't have an easy time in junior high and the reason that she was singled out was
because she like country music which her peers thought was weird. "Junior high was actually sort of
hard because I got dumped by this group of popular girls," she said. "They didn't think I was cool or
pretty enough, so they stopped talking to me."
But in the ninth grade Swift landed a record deal and a year later she was asked to perform at the

Analysis Of Across A Hundred Mountains
The award–winning novelist and memoirist as well as author of Across a Hundred Mountains has
written an inspiring memoir that will reach out and touch the reader's hearts. The Distance Between
Us is about a four–year–old girl from Iguala, Mexico who lives in extreme poverty. Her father left to
go to the US when she was two years old to earn money and build a house. Later on, when Reyna
was four her mother had left to go help her father, and this left Reyna and her three siblings with
their grandmother who wasn't as pleasant as you would expect. As the story progresses forward,
readers can see their living conditions how they aren't getting properly fed and some of the traumatic
events that they witness such as people dying in front of them or people with rare illnesses. Soon
after her mother comes back to Mexico, the children realize that their father had left her for another
woman and their mother had brought back a new baby with her. After this, their father comes to
Mexico, and brings Reyna and her two siblings back to the US with them. Living their lives in the
US was not as easy as they thought because of the language barrier and their father drinking all day
long and getting constantly abused by him almost every day. for small things. Eventually, Reyna
pursues her education and finds sanctuary in reading books and writing stories. She was the first
person in her family to graduate from college and pursue her dreams. Because of this, she has
inspired many people around this world. Overall Reyna Grande successfully tells us about how
immigration impacted her life and her family's life using features such as the honest truth, both
internal and external conflict, graphic imagery, and a sad and bittersweet tone to reflect upon all of
her life experiences. Because of this, she convinces the readers about the toll immigration took on
their family.
In this story Reyna Grande honestly tells the readers about how she and her siblings were abandoned
early on in the book and how they were constantly referred to as orphans. She uses the key features
of memoir to tell us about how immigration impacted this. Reyna Grande tells us the blunt and bitter
truth in the beginning of the story. She mentions that, "Neither

Separation Of Gender Roles In The Movie 'Bad Moms'
The separation of gender roles has effected the diplomatic expectation mothers have in today's
society, whereas "Bad Moms" (by youtube source), has depicted the standards of a mother in a
comical stance. In today's society, certain stereotypes have been created towards a myriad of
classifications. This trailer emphasizes the roles of woman in society during motherhood, moreover,
"Bad Moms" leans towards the contrast of a "perfect" mother. Mila Kunis's character is member of a
society that houses the ideal perfect mother. She struggles with following the guidelines. Therefore,

into younger adults. It shifts from audience with the comical life events of the character and her
group of friends. Mila's alliance shift into becoming partiers and somewhat unsafe– drinking with
reckless driving. Towards the middle of this trailer the film attracts younger adults with the partying
standards commonly shown in "college". If anyone were to see the film towards the end they would
think it's about college partying. The song is very popular and lures in the younger audience by
combining something they relate to, the party atmosphere (and says "hey mama"). The juxtaposition
of the song saying "hey mama" correlates with the dialogues theme between mothers. It portrays the
irony of the two types of mothers with its satirical humor. This film attracts a wild range of audience
due to its comedy. The openness of this films also attracts those within the GLBT community. This
trailer starts out with a very realistic scene that then in captions says "Every mom". Afterwards,
because of the change in settings, it is towards young females aged 18 to 30 due to it comical and

Analysis : ' Derided By Rationalists For His Inimitable Style
Derided by rationalists for his inimitable style, Gaudi folded function into form through an intuitive
synthesis of the past, nature, and imagination that may have foreshadowed today's architecture.
Because of a fire in 1936 at the Sagrada Familia, many of Gaudi's drawings and models have been
lost leaving an incomplete biographical portrait. However, through analysis of his carefully
incorporated mythical and natural allusions, and balance of light and geometry, one can piece
together a more complete biographical picture. Additionally, by looking at Casa Battlo and Casa
Mila, along with several innovative designs, a picture emerges of one who by returning to the
origins foretells a prophetic architecture of the future.
Gaudi was born in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Gaudi also took preparatory courses to get into architectural school and spent five years gaining his
certification. While earning his credentials, Gaudi worked on several projects outside of the city of
Barcelona. He was a lover of poetry and an insatiable learner, but he relished in the practical and
preferred hands–on engagement with learning over drawings and critical theory regarding his
creations.
Gaudi's practical approach to problem solving was an ingenuous confluence of experimentation and
invention. He built and tested geometric and organic models using a system of weights, gravity, and
photography to determine the capacity of load bearing a structure could endure and adjusted
accordingly. This system of testing allowed for asymmetries, convex, and concave shapes, and
volumes to penetrate and synthesize into harmonious and functional buildings, devices, and objects
where Gaudi could unleash his full creative potential.
Gaudi's early work revealed Arabic and Gothic influences absorbed during his education. Examples
can be seen in the Finca Guell (Figure 1), Casa Vicens (Figure 2), and Collegi de les Teresianes
(Figure 3). While thorough investigation of these structures would be advantageous in assembling a
more accurate biographical portrait of Gaudi, it exceeds the scope of this paper. Additionally, the
assimilated role of nature in the form and content of Gaudi's later structures reaches toward a more

Strong brand awareness, controversial promotional activity, good service and quality innovative
pizzas – are the components being valued by the company throughout the process of business
expansion. "Our strategy has always been to be noisy in the market" (McMullin, as cited in Rogers,
2012). The company's mission has been to tempt people into the experience without talking about
price in a price–driven saturated marketplace (Medcalf, 2005b). Mainstream world of pizza was
found boring by the group of young founders therefore their vision was to create a fun, hard–core,
elastic brand and use every opportunity to get people talking (Boyles, 2005).
The foundation of the company however was built on producing "Hell specific" (Stu, as cited in
Boyles, 2005, para.10) high quality food. Davies (as cited in Allen,2004) stresses that even though
the pizza market is very competitive, Hell Pizza remains focused on quality and had never competed
solely on price (Davies, as cited in Allen, 2004). According to McMillan (2005), Hell Pizza is
consistent in providing "really good pizza" and it is that focus that made the franchise successful
(McMillan, as cited in Medcalf, 2005a, para. 21).
Technology is seen by the director Stu McMullin as a point of difference for the company, a "policy
that has not let him down" (Start Up, 2012, para. 2; Medcalf, 2005). Hell Pizza was the first food

The Pressure to Be Perfect
The Bell Jar and Black Swan: The Pressure to be Perfect
In a society where competition among others and influences from the media are becoming
increasingly prevalent by the decade, it is easy for one to feel the extreme pressure to be perfect.
Many individuals face the internal conflict of feeling that they are not adequate enough for various
personal or societal standards, often leading to unhealthy insecurities, mental and emotional
instabilities, and identity crises. Firstly, society's reminders to individuals to reach a superficial level
of perfection create unhealthy stress within oneself, leading to progressive depression. Furthermore,
the even harsher mental and emotional pressures put on by one's loved ones accumulate to cause ...

It is the feeling of not being good enough for the world that crushes her self–esteem and will to
succeed, as later on she begins to contemplate harming her body and even committing suicide.
The protagonist in Black Swan, prima ballerina Nina Sayers, faces a similar ignition to her mental
instabilities through the pressures of society. In this case, Nina is naturally a perfectionist who tries
to strive in the highly competitive ballet industry, which takes a huge toll on her physically,
mentally, and emotionally. It is evident that throughout the course of Nina's training for her big
debut as Swan Queen in the ballet company's annual production, she is obsessed with the idea of
perfection to live up to society's expectations of what a prima ballerina should be. When the former
prima ballerina of the company, Beth McIntyre, unexpectedly retires, the director, Thomas Leroy,
introduces her to the entire ballet industry at a gala. He announces, "But as we bid adieu to one star,
we welcome another! We're opening our season with my new version of Swan Lake. Taking the role
of our new Swan Queen, the exquisite, Nina Sayers" (Aronofsky). This puts Nina under the spotlight
and creates very high stakes for her, possibly ones that are too heavy for such a young girl to handle,
as she is now pressured into filling the shoes of a legendary prima ballerina – a symbol of

The Leaders Must Communicate With The Team
Dyer (2013) stated that the leader must communicate with the team in regard to the purpose and
goals of the meeting because the approach of sharing the purpose and goals would increase team's
awareness and knowledge. Also, leader should create a meeting agenda to prepare the team because
the agenda of the meeting will guide them to focus on the subject and will enable them to execute a
productive meeting (p. 67). For instance, the agenda should be structured based on the objectives
and goals of the meeting and the topic of discussions must be organized in the sequence of
importance to ensure a significant issue and concern are covered at the meeting. Simultaneously, the
agenda enables the team to control time of the meeting by implementing time limit per topic to
make sure all significant topics are covered. Additionally, establishing agenda is important because
it enables the team to refocus on the objective if the team discussion stray away from the objectives
in the agenda. Similarly, the next step is that leader and team members should be able to identify
with the event that the team discussion deviates from the original subject at the meeting then the
team can conform to the agenda. Furthermore, the outcome of the meeting should be summarized
and disseminated to the members of the team for their action. The leader should make a clear
statement that anyone in the team can initiate a meeting as long as it would improve team's
performance. Thus, all members of the team

Casa Milá, also known as La Pedrera, is one of Antonio Gaudi's stylish buildings in Barcelona,
Catalonia, Spain. It was commissioned as a resident hall by Pedro Milá, a businessman, after he was
introduced to Gaudi in 1905. As one of Gaudi's designs, Casa Milá shared many of his unique
architectural elements during construction and decoration, for instance, the design of furniture and
the courtyard ("Casa Milà (La Pedrera)."). Gaudi not only showed his strength in planning the

Essay about Meaning and Identity in Public Art
Meaning and Identity in Public Art While visiting the Capitol Square, I felt like I had stepped back
into an ancient
Greek culture. From the colossal pillars supporting the building to the bronze statues of
Greek goddesses among our "war heroes" it is easy to mistake the Capitol building for a
Greek temple. I want to share with you what the architecture communicated to me, what the subject
of the art was that I observed, and why the building was placed where it now stands. Anyone who
possesses basic knowledge about ancient Greece could surely see the similarities between Greek
temples and the Capitol building. There is even an inscription on the Capitol building stating it is a
"Greek revival structure". The building has ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
What all this detail says to me is that this is a place where powerful people work and where many
important functions of the city take place. I gain a sense that whoever is employed here has a great
deal of wealth, be it in knowledge or money, and tremendous authority. The Greeks saw their rulers
as being next to godliness, and in a way, the people who work here are our rulers. The subject of the
art that I observed had a theme of peace, war, nobility, and discovery. The first statue I saw was a
large monument made of bronze and marble. The monument featured Ulysses S. Grant, James A.
Garfield, Phillip Sheridan, William T.
Sherman, Rutherford B. Hayes, Salmon Chase, and Edwin Stanton standing under a
Greek goddess (who resembles Ceres because she is surrounded by bushels of wheat and grains)
with a quote under her that says "These are my jewels". These men were by far the greatest men to
come from Ohio and just like the Greeks who cast their heroes in bronze, so have we cast our heroes
for all to see in bronze at the Capitol. The next monument I saw was a huge angel in bronze that
included an inscription about peace.
Then, on another side of the building, there are two monuments to the soldiers that went to fight at
Iwo Jima. These walls contain etched letters from various soldiers, some of them are happy letters
while others are very sad. There seemed to be many monuments to war than anything else. The

composition as it is funny as well as true. This movie trailer spoke to me in relation to this course as
it shows realistic struggles women go through as a mother and the expectations they are expected to

perfection that women are supposed to uphold and if they do they are not looked down upon. This

The ideas that society has put in our minds is that a woman has to be slim, look perfect and always

The beauty of the woman as objects and screen space coalesce; she is no longer the bearer of guilty

able to stay fit as well as being on top of all the modern fashion trends, and looking 'perfect' is very
unrealistic. This is portrayed in the movie trailer when the one mother played by Mila Kunis is in a

1.1 Background of the Study
Desire is a natural characteristic of every human being, the writer believe that every single person in

Black Swan falls into a category of drama fiction as there is no reality based data included in the
movie, thus Nina Sayers is only a fictional figure. However, in a book called Psikoanalisis dan sastra
(2003) there is a piece of writing regarding the application of psychoanalysis theory that states and
analysis of character in movies is very popular as the character is seen as manifested 'texts' to find
hidden texts beneath to its unconscious drives (Moesono 112). Therefore, even though the story of
the character Nina Sayers is not a true story, it is feasible to perceive her as if she is a real life
character and to observe and analyze her desire as the main object of the study.
Black Swan centers on Nina, and introduces doubt and psychical thematically through devices of
dreams vivid enough to be mistaken for reality, scenes of sex and struggle imagined as a real,
hallucinations of Nina's mirrored partial body, transforming whole body in dance, projected dark
twin body outside herself. At a point, one starts to wonder if perhaps some of the characters are not

a gust of wind. But inside her tiny frame, there was a huge heart full of courage and bravery.
Mila Metawozowki never meant to be a protagonist. She wasn't supposed to be the hero, for that
was always someone else's job. Mila was content to live a plain and ordinary life. That is until the
monster came. All of a sudden everything Mila loved was being uprooted, her very life being
threatened. This monster was bright orange, with ghastly fake blonde hair ... Show more content on

They were ready to attack her with their many guns but soon started laughing. For, Mila was
standing at the wall, peaceful and not fighting. They wondered how such a small girl thought she
was going to climb over their huge wall, and that's when she started doing something amazing. She
took out her bag of stones, and started to build. For many days and nights, she sat there building a
strange contraption, that no one had ever seen. The soldiers whispered to themselves that perhaps
she was building a great weapon, or maybe her own wall. However, Mila was building something a
thousand times more powerful. Instead of creating another impenetrable wall, Mila had used her
stones to simply build a bridge over the walls. The soldiers were absolutely stunned, and stayed in a
shocked state for so long, that Mila just waltzed into the palace. The monster was also shocked that
such a small girl had gotten into his fortress. He wondered how she had possibly done it. And these
are the words she said "We don't need walls to make this country great again. We need to knock
down the walls that are dividing us, and instead build bridges to connect our cultures together. Yes
my family may be originally from another place, but there is no need to be afraid." And the orange
skinned monster listened and finally understood. He realized that his walls were hurting more than
helping and decided to change his ways. After he knocked

Erikson 's Psychosocial Stages Of Development
In your initial post, identify the original life story element you intend to change and explain how you
intend to change it. Use Erikson's psychosocial stages of development to explain Mila's stage of
development at the time this change takes place and address how the change affects Mila's
psychological development.
If I had the opportunity to change anything in Mila's story, I would change her work life. After Mila
and Oliver got married and moved to a residence in a neighborhood just minutes away from both
families (which was a great idea), Mila should have found a better job as the secretary, away from
her family. She could have helped them from time to time, but working around other people that you
are not familiar with gives you social skills and connections. Finding a secretary job in the big city
of Brooklyn, New York, at a local office or company agent would have worked out better. Always
being around/under your family or parents cause an individual to not branch out to make something
out of themselves.
Erikson's sixth psychosocial stage of development explains my point on Mila's change. The sixth
stage is Intimacy vs Isolation. It defines how one should explore relationships leading towards
longer commitments with someone other than a family member. Avoiding intimacy, fearing
commitment and relationships can lead to isolation, loneliness, and sometimes depression. In regard
to Mila, she was still attached to her family members. She didn't show intimacy towards her

Mila Kunis' rise to fame as a child star on That 70s Show

  • 1. Mila Kunis Biography Mila Kunis has a net worth of $ 30 million. She is an actress. She was born in Ukrainian SSR on August 14, 1983 with the name Milena Markovna Kunis. At the age of seven, her and her family moved to United States, citing antisemitism (she comes from a Russian Jewish family) as the reason for leaving. She has a brother, and has been married once to Ashton Kutcher, with whom she has a child with; this comes after she broke up with Macaulay Culkin after being together for almost ten years. During the filming of "That 70s Show", she had an on–set tutor, while attending three different high schools when she had time, and graduated from Fairfax High School in 2001. She started acting at the age of nine when her dad enrolled her in acting classes. Her first television role was on "Days of Our Lives". She would go on to have small roles on "Baywatch", "Santa With Muscles", and "7th Heaven". At the age of 15, she would get the role she is still known for, Jackie on the hit period sitcom "That 70s Show". She lied to the people doing the audition saying she said she would be eighteen, but did not shed light as to when that would be (she was fourteen at the time). ... • 3. Gender Discrimination Working with Gender Discrimination What is the point of minority groups? Do people really need to step over other smaller groups to bring themselves up? The white superiors are suppressing the minority, the straights are suppressing the LGBTQ(+), and men are suppressing women. The world needs diversity, but it also needs equality. It is 2017, people from the 1800 would probably figure that the future would be a better place for everyone; well it is definitely better than the 1800 but, the future is not the best that it can be. It was not more than one hundred years ago that African Americans got their right to vote; not more than twenty years ago for women got their right to vote, and just a year ago The United States finally legalized gay marriage for all 50 states. Society is slowly progressing, but again it is not good enough. So, if the world wants to advance they can start by improving the equality for women and men in the workforce. Overall gender equality has been a struggle all the time in history, and everywhere. In the prehistoric eras of the cavemen and women, both genders worked together to survive. Men would go out to hunt and kill animals, and the women would gather and stay home to care for the children. Yes, most people now will say "that is straight up the definition of sexism, men do the heavy work and women does the cooking at home." However at that time, it wasn't like the cave people were thinking about sexism; the only thing that they were thinking ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 5. Analysis Of The Catalan Architect, Antoni Gaudi "Originality is returning to the origin," is one of the most famous and often–repeated phrase of the Catalan architect, Antoni Gaudi. Gaudi was a devout religious man who believed that nature was the origin and he started encouraging his belief of returning to the primitive basics. He had a great regard for nature as a creation of God and most of his works were informed by an obsessive religious spiritualism, a strong relationship with nature and heavy interest in ecology with an acutely personal impression of design. Hif religious belief and architecture became increasingly intertwined, while he studied organic and anarchic forms of geometry that were derived from nature, seeking a way to give definition to these forms in his architectural designs. His interest and study of nature informed fantastic organic arrangement of forms in one of his famous residential buildings, Casa Mila, and its details. As in all Gaudi's later works, his models and studies made on the site, rather than drawings, had been the key designing method for Casa Mila. He understood the abundant idea of the natural world and expressed it with curved forms, never in straight lines. He also noticed that natural construction tended to require ponderous materials such as stone and wrought–iron, mimicking the appearances of muscle, ribs and bone of living organisms. With all these organic models supporting his premises, Gaudi based the design of Casa Mila on a simple religious perception; Considering that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I managed to divert most of the inconvenient questions, giving my nice fake smile and saying everything was fine. The girls noticed my hair and went all night, telling me how beautiful I am as a redhead, and that I should have painted that color a long time ago, as I always said I wanted. She didn't know where she was going but she had to get out of the room. The walls were closing in and everything began to spin. She made an attempt to make it to the front door, but inevitably dropped to her knees. She tried to cover her mouth with her hand but it did no good as the vomit came shooting up her throat. Dinah rushed to her side grabbing her hair as Normani ran to retrieve a wastebasket. The two girls rubbed her back soothingly in rhythm as they tried to mask their own tears. Camila ceased her retching and slumped back against the sofa. Her stomach instantly feeling much better but the room still continued to spin. Elephants held in circuses against their will, are beaten, starved and forced to stand on their head for the enjoyment of children. Does that still sound magical? The same things happen in zoos Big Picture: Circuses have been around since the 1700's and were called Circles, later becoming the ring, which is the center of the circle where the animals are performing against their will. In the beginning a circus was just a man and a horse performing in a ring. Over the years it has grown into a huge production and lasts several hours. Zoos have also been around for a long time. Animals held in fake wilderness while people watch them from behind metal bars. Elephants in my opinion are in the most serious trouble. When in the wild they walk 40 miles plus in one day. "Anyways, as I was saying, no one is buying avocados anymore, so I put all of the strawberries in town inside of this magical, never ending pouch," King avocado explained, "And I was just about to lock this sack up in my safe before you little girls rudely barged in." The infuriated avocado forcefully spun the shining silver lock on the safe, in a very intricate pattern and the door violently swung open. He then waltzed into the safe and carefully placed the pouch down. After he had finished, he then slammed the safe door closed. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a meeting to get to!" The king shrieked as he strut out of the room. "Oh no, now what?" wondered Maddie outloud. "I don't know..." Mila pondered. But then, the idea hit her! "Maddie, hand me that soccer ball!" While I was at Walgreens I noticed all of the Easter displays of candy and eggs. The concept of cultural norm reminded why I was shopping for these items. We all decided to hit the cinema and watch the new romantic comedy starring Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis. By the end of the night we were all comparing it to another romantic comedy called "No Strings Attached" starring Ashton Kutcher and Natalie Portman that we had seen on our previous girl's night out. We all discussed the pros and cons of having a boy toy as opposed to being in a loving committed relationship. What a night of debating that was. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Someone gets hurt, end the "broken heart", are you ready for that? He can fall in love. Maybe your special friend ends up falling in love ... with another woman or with you, and vice versa, and that 's what really happens in these two stories. Although these are fictional romantic comedies these situations happen all the time and temptation is always doing pushups. I know from our previous conversations that you love these types of movies and I enjoyed them both equally. Because of this I cannot recommend over the other so I recommend you watch both. Some people believe the titles insinuate a similar plot and don't choose to see both, but after seeing them myself, I can tell you that they are not as similar as one might think. Well, first they have two different lead actors and actresses as I stated previously. In "Friends with Benefits", Mila is a headhunter who meets a prospect that she must pick up at the airport. She must convince him to take this job in New York and she has till midnight to do so or the job offer expires. He accepts the offer and they become friends because they are both emotionally unavailable due to his ambition and fear of getting hurt again and her lack of commitment from her mother and her own desire to live her life as a romantic comedy itself. Analysis Of Across A Hundred Mountains The award–winning novelist and memoirist as well as author of Across a Hundred Mountains has written an inspiring memoir that will reach out and touch the reader's hearts. The Distance Between Us is about a four–year–old girl from Iguala, Mexico who lives in extreme poverty. Her father left to go to the US when she was two years old to earn money and build a house. Later on, when Reyna was four her mother had left to go help her father, and this left Reyna and her three siblings with their grandmother who wasn't as pleasant as you would expect. As the story progresses forward, readers can see their living conditions how they aren't getting properly fed and some of the traumatic events that they witness such as people dying in front of them or people with rare illnesses. Soon after her mother comes back to Mexico, the children realize that their father had left her for another woman and their mother had brought back a new baby with her. After this, their father comes to Mexico, and brings Reyna and her two siblings back to the US with them. Living their lives in the US was not as easy as they thought because of the language barrier and their father drinking all day long and getting constantly abused by him almost every day. for small things. Eventually, Reyna pursues her education and finds sanctuary in reading books and writing stories. She was the first person in her family to graduate from college and pursue her dreams. Because of this, she has inspired many people around this world. Overall Reyna Grande successfully tells us about how immigration impacted her life and her family's life using features such as the honest truth, both internal and external conflict, graphic imagery, and a sad and bittersweet tone to reflect upon all of her life experiences. Because of this, she convinces the readers about the toll immigration took on their family. In this story Reyna Grande honestly tells the readers about how she and her siblings were abandoned early on in the book and how they were constantly referred to as orphans. She uses the key features of memoir to tell us about how immigration impacted this. Reyna Grande tells us the blunt and bitter truth in the beginning of the story. She mentions that, "Neither ... The Leaders Must Communicate With The Team Dyer (2013) stated that the leader must communicate with the team in regard to the purpose and goals of the meeting because the approach of sharing the purpose and goals would increase team's awareness and knowledge. Also, leader should create a meeting agenda to prepare the team because the agenda of the meeting will guide them to focus on the subject and will enable them to execute a productive meeting (p. 67). For instance, the agenda should be structured based on the objectives and goals of the meeting and the topic of discussions must be organized in the sequence of importance to ensure a significant issue and concern are covered at the meeting. Simultaneously, the agenda enables the team to control time of the meeting by implementing time limit per topic to make sure all significant topics are covered. Additionally, establishing agenda is important because it enables the team to refocus on the objective if the team discussion stray away from the objectives in the agenda. Similarly, the next step is that leader and team members should be able to identify with the event that the team discussion deviates from the original subject at the meeting then the team can conform to the agenda. Furthermore, the outcome of the meeting should be summarized and disseminated to the members of the team for their action. The leader should make a clear statement that anyone in the team can initiate a meeting as long as it would improve team's performance. Thus, all members of the team ... From the colossal pillars supporting the building to the bronze statues of Greek goddesses among our "war heroes" it is easy to mistake the Capitol building for a Greek temple. I want to share with you what the architecture communicated to me, what the subject of the art was that I observed, and why the building was placed where it now stands. I gain a sense that whoever is employed here has a great deal of wealth, be it in knowledge or money, and tremendous authority. The Greeks saw their rulers as being next to godliness, and in a way, the people who work here are our rulers. The subject of the art that I observed had a theme of peace, war, nobility, and discovery. The first statue I saw was a large monument made of bronze and marble. The monument featured Ulysses S. Grant, James A. Garfield, Phillip Sheridan, William T. Sherman, Rutherford B. Hayes, Salmon Chase, and Edwin Stanton standing under a Greek goddess (who resembles Ceres because she is surrounded by bushels of wheat and grains) with a quote under her that says "These are my jewels". These men were by far the greatest men to come from Ohio and just like the Greeks who cast their heroes in bronze, so have we cast our heroes for all to see in bronze at the Capitol. The next monument I saw was a huge angel in bronze that included an inscription about peace. Then, on another side of the building, there are two monuments to the soldiers that went to fight at Iwo Jima. These walls contain etched letters from various soldiers, some of them are happy letters while others are very sad. There seemed to be many monuments to war than anything else. This movie trailer spoke to me in relation to this course as it shows realistic struggles women go through as a mother and the expectations they are expected to withhold. The ideas that society has put in our minds is that a woman has to be slim, look perfect and always be ready for a photoshoot. All of the women in this movie trailer have a very similar body type, these women are all slim, tall and beautiful which shows that the movie industry has narrow vision." The beauty of the woman as objects and screen space coalesce; she is no longer the bearer of guilty but a perfect product, whose body, stylized and fragmented by close–ups, is the content of the film and the direct recipient of the spectator's look," (Mulvey, 2006, p. 349). The idea of a women being able to stay fit as well as being on top of all the modern fashion trends, and looking 'perfect' is very unrealistic. This is portrayed in the movie trailer when the one mother played by Mila Kunis is in a workout class or when her and her friends are having conversation in regards to her bra. When it comes to women's careers they are expected to wear appropriate clothing that portrays them as professional, this allows them to be respected in the workplace. However, I don't think I'll ever see this film again. Not only was this film disturbing, I found it to be a little too basic. I was hoping for more of a twist, yet it never came." (http//www.abc.net.au) Black Swan falls into a category of drama fiction as there is no reality based data included in the movie, thus Nina Sayers is only a fictional figure. However, in a book called Psikoanalisis dan sastra (2003) there is a piece of writing regarding the application of psychoanalysis theory that states and analysis of character in movies is very popular as the character is seen as manifested 'texts' to find hidden texts beneath to its unconscious drives (Moesono 112). Therefore, even though the story of the character Nina Sayers is not a true story, it is feasible to perceive her as if she is a real life character and to observe and analyze her desire as the main object of the study. Black Swan centers on Nina, and introduces doubt and psychical thematically through devices of dreams vivid enough to be mistaken for reality, scenes of sex and struggle imagined as a real, hallucinations of Nina's mirrored partial body, transforming whole body in dance, projected dark twin body outside herself. • 79. Erikson 's Psychosocial Stages Of Development In your initial post, identify the original life story element you intend to change and explain how you intend to change it. Use Erikson's psychosocial stages of development to explain Mila's stage of development at the time this change takes place and address how the change affects Mila's psychological development. If I had the opportunity to change anything in Mila's story, I would change her work life. After Mila and Oliver got married and moved to a residence in a neighborhood just minutes away from both families (which was a great idea), Mila should have found a better job as the secretary, away from her family. She could have helped them from time to time, but working around other people that you are not familiar with gives you social skills and connections. Finding a secretary job in the big city of Brooklyn, New York, at a local office or company agent would have worked out better. Always being around/under your family or parents cause an individual to not branch out to make something out of themselves. Erikson's sixth psychosocial stage of development explains my point on Mila's change. The sixth stage is Intimacy vs Isolation. It defines how one should explore relationships leading towards longer commitments with someone other than a family member. Avoiding intimacy, fearing commitment and relationships can lead to isolation, loneliness, and sometimes depression. In regard to Mila, she was still attached to her family members.
