The photoshoot plan involves taking action shots of local skateboarding and surfing for a magazine. Separate shoots will be needed at different times and locations depending on weather conditions - dry ground for skateboarding and swell for surfing. Backup static shots of riders, boards or locations will be taken if action shots are not possible. Skateboarding shots will occur at the local skatepark and seafront, while surfing shots will take place at nearby beaches requiring a car for transport. Risk assessments identify potential injuries from falls or projectiles during skateboarding, and drowning or road dangers for surfing shoots.

1. Photoshoot Plan
The basis for the photoshoot to place in our magazine will be action shot images of
skateboarding and surfing in the local area. For each topic we will have to do separate
shoots at different times and locations. Both photoshoots will be weather dependent, it will
have to be a dry day when the ground is able to skateboard on and we will be able to take
photos for the action shots of skating that will be placed in our regional magazine alongside
the related story. Surfing will be dependent on if a swell is around to be able to catch and
surf any waves in the regional area. To check this we will have a week’s notice and be able
to check weather and swell reports for the area.
The skateboarding and surfing shots will both be action shots, however if we are unable to
get these action shots due to natural events, we will do photo’s that have static shots of the

2. riders, their boards, or the locations etc. We could also possibly insert archived photos from
previous events of the riders to feature in our article if we cannot take a suitable image.

The locations we will use for the skateboarding shots will be at the local skatepark ‘Trin’ and
surrounding spots such as the seafront skate ledge. These locations will be easily accessible
by walking or bus. This will be accessible at all times and will be the easier photos that we
can get for our magazine.
